Marine hyaluronic gel!?
I decided to try a bunch of products from this brand Naturium! This gel like cream really stood out to me. I suffer from really dry skin so this looked great. This cream reminds me a lot of Laneige water sleeping mask. The only thing is this gel moisturizer has no scent unlike the Laneige one which I really am grateful for. This moisturizer has marine-based polysaccharides, hyaluronic acid and phytonutrients to provide skin with a burst of long-lasting hydration. NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream I’m going to give this a 4/5. Overall the cream is really nice and I like to use it during the day. I however feel like it doesn’t stand out to me compared to other moisturizers. It’s very simple and effective but I like more nourishing and creamy products to use at night (personal preference). I think this product would be really good for younger skin like in high school or early twenties due to its simplistic ingredients. However it doesn’t offer enough anti-aging benefits for me.

2020 empties and new goodies!!
here are all of my 2020 empties!!! i went ahead and categorized them by brand so that i dont get things mixed up. etude house ——————— ETUDE - SoonJung pH6.5 Whip Cleanser my favorite fungal acne safe cleanser!! its perfect for dry combo skin! ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner a great fungal acne safe hydrating toner! better for dry skin, it would sometimes leave me oily at the end of the day. drunk elephant ————————— DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum although this serum isn’t fungal acne safe, my skin seems to enjoy it. it has a gel texture and actually regulates my oily forehead DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream another non fungal acne safe products. BUT doesn’t cause me to have breakouts!! its a thicc cream but doesn’t leave me feeling oily!! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Deluxe Sample again... not fungal acne safe but STILL didn’t cause me to have any breakouts!! the protini feels similar in terms of thickness and the over all feeling on the skin but it feels more “ wearable “ first aid beauty ————————— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i was super excited to tey this out because the ingredients are fungal acne safe and the claims were ideal for my skin type but sadly i was disappointed 😞 it didn’t control my oil but rather left mw with this shine on my forehead! and it didn’t moisture my dry cheeks. epic fail FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream this is a very basic fungal acne safe moisturizer i recommend to literally every one. i do like it and all but i find my skin still breaking out while i use this product. i would give it a 3 1/2 stars but i cant. update skincare routine for fungal acne!
yay updated skincare routine! these past few months i had been getting these crazy breakouts on my forehead, but after a switching some products, my skin has been thriving! cleanser although i love the CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser, i found that i would irritate my skin a bit and i decided to switch over to my favorite fa safe gentle cleanser ETUDE - SoonJung pH6.5 Whip Cleanser serums dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE the NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2%this was my second bottle of it but once i ran out i decided to finish up the PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serumso it wouldn’t be lying around in my skincare stash. but i still much prefer the naturium serum over peach and lily. essence i wanted to incorporate an exfoliating step in mu routine sence i had drop the SA cleanser. so i thought the ISNtree - Clear Skin 8% AHA Essencewould be a perfect fit in my routine. i use this serum every other day. treatment of course i have my holy grail Curology - Curology formulawith azelaic acid, clindamycin, and zinc pyrithione, this is the one product i will never get rid of moisturizer i think the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Creamis an all around good moisturizer. its fungal acne safe however it wasn’t moisturizing enough nor did it prevent breakouts. i was previously using the NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Creambefore but had temporarily stopped using it. although its not fungal acne safe, this moisturizer hasn’t caused any breakouts and is just so luxurious. and cheaper 😳 masks ive had this DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Masksince last christmas, and since december is comming soon, i want to use this mask up as quickly as possible because baby this wasn’t cheap. i use this on the weekends in place of my exfoliating essence. oil / occlusive in my last routine i was using Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectanton my cheeks for the evening but switched to The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalaneoils because i felt that it absorbed nicely and didn’t leave my poor pillow so mf greasy sunscreen i love love love love the FACE HALO - MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++but i wanted to try something new and something more accessible to me so i tried the Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50and aaahh its an ok sunscreen but not as good as the missha one micellar water i would always buy the GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover( blue) and i love it its great but i wanted to switch it up and use the pink one. its ok but i think the blue one works better. comment which products you love for fungal acne!! like and share! xo melanie 💗

Naturium Favorites for Oily/Acne Prone Skin!
Hi all! So Naturium is a new and interesting skincare brand that has faced some controversy in recent months. If you don’t know about it, the founder had been plugging and posting about it in her skincare vlogs, only to later announce it was actually her brand. Do I think it was shady, or maybe unethical? Yeeeah. HOWEVER... letting the products speak for themselves... I flipping love Naturium. They are beautifully sourced and formulated, and not to mention, effective! They’re also packaged really luxuriously, and all for extremely reasonable prices! Here are some of my favorites I’ve talked about in previous posts, but more in depth. NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% Okay, if there’s one thing from this post that you MUST HAVE for oily skin, it is this Niacinamide serum from Naturium. I use it every single day and night. Oh my goodness. It has curbed my extreme oiliness remarkably! And the additional zinc is anti-bacterial, so another amazing ingredient for acne. It’s super gentle, glides on smooth, and absorbs amazingly. Niacinamide also works fine with other actives so it’s wonderful to layer! Naturium has got a WINNER here! Oh yeah, and I just repurchased it way before my current one runs out so I don’t have to go a single day without it ($16 by the way, super affordable in my opinion)! NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum Naturium also has a great Vitamin C serum I use every other morning (when I’m not using a BHA). I love this one, and can actually see a difference in my skin with the higher percentage in this formula! It’s brightening and glowy, and makes me look awake in the morning! It’s also got Vitamin E which helps boost the Vitamin C, and Hyaluronic Acid for extra kick of hydration. This is a nice one if you have oily skin — it comes in a dropper but it’s not greasy or clogging at all! The only thing I would say is that it can be a tad sticky, however, I’ve found that most Vitamin C’s (at least in my experience) are sticky. This one isn’t as much so! Also affordable I would add, retailing at $20. NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream Naturium’s Marine Water cream is one of my favorite moisturizers in my arsenal at the moment! It feels like a gel moisturizer (so great for oily skin) but a little more hydrating and not as slick (than maybe compared to Farmacy’s Daily Greens — also on my profile). It’s a beautiful smooth texture, probably my most favorite so far! I use this every single night and it feels hydrating and light, but just rich enough to lock in my actives! It’s also got hyaluronic acid too! I’d put this stuff all over my body if I could!! I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one, especially since it’s so reasonably priced at $20.

How I deal with acne caused by my environment
Hi y’all! I hope everyone is doing great and staying safe! Today I am going to talk about acne and inflammation caused by the environments we live in, and how to try and counteract it! I found out that where I live (New York City) was a big player in how my skin looked when I noticed a pattern in decreasing redness and inflammation every time I went home to Baltimore (a smaller city but we live in the suburbs). Within a day or two my skin would be looking so much better, and when I went back to New York, the redness would come back. I thought maybe it was stress or diet, but no, it was the city and my apartment that were the biggest players. How living in a city can affect your skin: Cities have more air pollution, which can pile onto your skin and clog your pores, causing breakouts and pimples, and weaken your skin’s protective barrier This is called Chloracne and can show up as blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, and pustules Living in cities also exposes us to more free radicals, which cause inflammation in the skin. When there are toxins in our body, which often come from air pollution, we try and dispose of them through sweating and...doing other things. If our body is overloaded with these and can’t get rid of them though, we start getting acne, rashes, and sensitive skin. So how do we stop this from affecting our skin so much? SPF!! Sunscreen is a necessity no matter where you live, but if you live in a city or somewhere with lots of pollution, maybe lean towards a zinc sunscreen, or one with antioxidants like: Krave - The Beet Shield This is my favorite sunscreen that I’ve tried so far. It leaves my skin feeling nice and protected! Cleanse gently but effectively! My skin is more on the dry side, but I cleanse twice daily because of the buildup of grime from the city on my skin. Whichever cleanser you use, follow the 60 second rule! If it doesn’t break you out, or if you wear makeup, double cleanse to make sure you get everything off your skin! As my cleanser I use either VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser which I adore because it is super basic and good for my sensitive skin Or CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser which I love but is too harsh for my skin to use daily. Actives: Antioxidants, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Ceramides, rose oil, marine hyalauronics! These are options you might want to include in your routines! These specifically will help with the issues I’ve mentioned here! Some products that might help: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin THE inkey LIST - 15% Vitamin C and EGF And an air purifier if needed! 🦋✨

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
