WAYS TO SAVE TIME IN THE AM— 10 MINUTE MAKEUP✨
Whether you want to sleep in a few extra minutes or you’re waking up right before you have to turn the zoom call on doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice looking put together. Here are some ways I save time in the morning and get ready in under 10 minutes. Mixing products together This allows for two steps to be completed in one. Just because you’re trying to get ready quick doesn’t mean you need to omit skin care rituals. I do this for several different steps and never had a problem with formulas mixing in the past: Eye cream + concealer: recently I have been loving mixing OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème and NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer . They both have a thin consistency and work perfect for the under eye. Also, the eye cream is tinted yellow so it really helps conceal under eye circles. Sunscreen+ moisturizer: I have been using these two product together forever; face reality - Daily SPF30 Lotion face reality - Clearderma Moisturizer for Acne-Prone Skin . The sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast and the moisturizer smells so good. Primer+ foundation: this is a new combination I have recently been mixing together; Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Prime . It creates a thinner, shear foundation for days you don’t want a heavy look. ** of course you can buy products that are targeted for two steps but I prefer mixing my own. Wearing false lashes/ extensions Wearing false lashes/extensions is such a game changer. You save so much time on eye makeup in the morning because the lashes make up for mascara, liner etc. Tinted brow gel I spend the most time on my makeup routine with my brows. Brow gel has saved me so much time in the morning. I run the brush through my brows a few times and they are ready to go. They are perfectly shaded and set in place for the day. I do clean up my brows with concealer for a more noticeable difference but that step is quick. benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Storing all your makeup in one place There’s nothing worse then wasting time in the morning because you can’t find your beauty sponge etc. If you keep all of your products in one place you will save the time it takes to find the product in the first place. (this tip is for those who are always on the move/traveling) [I have combination, light-medium skin tone] What are some ways you love to save time with your makeup routine?💭⬇️ 🎶: DJ Quads at my front door #CheriePartner
OLE HENRIKSEN-Banana Bright Eye Crème
Why you need eye cream !!!
My favorite eye cream is OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème Check my previous post to see my review on it . The skin around the eyes is more fragile, more prone to dryness, and quicker to show age and fatigue. Squinting and constant movement of the eyes also hasten the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and fluids collect under the eyes and cause puffiness and dark circles. Eye creams can address some of these issues. The most common form of protection an eye cream can provide is the ability to prevent sun damage when the formulation has been packed with SPF. Eye cream can also act as a protective barrier between the skin and any external factors (e.g. makeup and chemicals), preventing any further damage. Applying eye cream should be the final step in your skin care routine every day, both in the morning and at night. The one exception? You should apply sunscreen after eye cream! Most eye creams claim that they remove dark circles and fade lines or reduce puffiness, but most don't! ... Dark circles are either hereditary or as a result of collagen reduction from ageing, this makes blood vessels appear more noticeable through skin. The 9 Best Eye Creams, According to Dermatologists Biopelle Radiance Eye Cream. ... Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream. ... L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Eye Treatment. ... Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye. ... Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream. ... Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum. ... Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Gel. The skin around your eyes is thinner and more delicate than the rest of your face so facial moisturizers and eye creams are both formulated to be lighter and less greasy than body moisturizers. ... Eye creams are formulated to be extra mild since the area around the eye is particularly sensitive to irritation.
OLE HENRIKSEN-Banana Bright Eye Crème
Easy & simple morning skincare routine 💫
Quick disclaimer I’m a HUGE Ole Henriksen fan 😋🙋🏽♀️ I use Ole Henriksen truth juice daily cleanser to cleanse my face everyday, OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser On days that I feel a little more oily or just want a good scrub on my face I’ll use Ole Henriksen pore-balance facial sauna scrub. It feels sooo amazing, it’s hot when your scrubbing it into your skin and it’s cool as soon as you wash it off 🥵🥶OLE HENRIKSEN - Pore-Balance Facial Sauna Scrub Next I like to use both a toner and an essence. I use Ole Henriksen balancing force oil control toner. After cleansing I use this with a cotton pad going all over my face and neck.OLE HENRIKSEN - Balancing Force Oil Control Toner Next, I use FRESH black tea kombucha essence. I just put a couple drops into my hands and pat it all over my face and neck. fresh - Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence Nyc Limited Edition Next, I use Ole Henriksen truth serum (Ive been using this for years and it’s amazing I’ll probably use it for many many more) Again just putting it into my hand and putting it all over my face and neck. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I then use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide creme all over my face and neck. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Followed by my eye creams I use a very small amount of The Ordinary Caffeine solution 5% + EGCG The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Then I use a pea sized amount of the banana bright eye creme by Ole Henriksen to follow. OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème After all that I top with Joise Maran argon daily SPF 47 JOSIE MARAN - Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 (not in the video because I broke the bottle 😫 ) I wanna love this product but it’s suppppppper heavy/creamy for my skin.. so if your a little more oily just watch out for this! I am looking for something a little more light weight so if you have recommendations, let a girl know 🙋🏽♀️ Thanks 💫💞

😱Poor Air Quality Made Me Changed My Skincare Routine Followed By Dermatologist😔
First of all, I wanna say that I'm really sorry about the bad things happening recently. The apocalyptic orange skies over California and Oregon caused by recent wildfires and subsequent smog have millions of Americans worried about air quality and pollution more than ever. Though uniquely visible on the West Coast, climate change is taking effect all across the country (and the world), which means there's an urgent need to figure out how to protect skin from polluted air now. To help understand the issue, Dr. Loretta, licensed dermatologist Loretta Ciraldo, MD, FAAD, shares her suggestions. She is a clinician and brand founder who has been studying the relationship between environmental aggressors and the skin for more than 40 years. 😨Skin Problem caused by air pollution To the obvious threats to our health, air pollution can cause a slew of skin issues, from age spots and wrinkles to acne breakouts. Ahead, she educates us on the best practices for how to deal with it — because, in a time where everything feels volatile, your preventative skin-care routine is one thing you can control. 💁🏼♂️Preventative Skincare Routine Wash your face twice a day: This one may sound intuitive, but it's important to wash your face twice a day, every day, especially when you're in contact with polluted air. "Since pollution levels can be high indoors as well as outside, you need to wash in the morning and at night to avoid exposure," Dr. Loretta says. "With this in mind, I actually created a hydrating cleanser that features a hydrolyzed algin to absorb pollution particles that can penetrate into our pores." 👍Youth to the People's Superfood Cleanser: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant CleanserI brought this product recently and I really fall in love with this. Not only the packaging is attractive but also the ingredients is all-natural, which I feel I'm using the nature juice to wash my face. The ingredients double-down on the power of antioxidants, which simply put, help your skin cells defend against pollutants. Exfoliate regularly: Along with washing your face, a gentle exfoliating routine personalized to your skin will help you get an even deeper clean. "Exfoliation will remove pollution particles that are often lodged in the surface layer of skin, and stop them from penetrating more deeply," Dr. Loretta explains. "You can exfoliate with a glycolic acid anywhere from 1-2 times a week to every night, depending on your skin type and tolerance of exfoliating products." 👍Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Pore Exfoliating Treatment: Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentThis Kate Somerville formula contains chemical exfoliants, like lactic and salicylic acids, which help unclog congested acne-prone skin. I can feel it really works to make my pores less noticeable. Every time I use it, my skin feels softer, smoother, and more evenly textured. Protect the skin barrier with antioxidants: As Dr. Loretta explains, pollution damages the skin's protective lipid barrier, thereby increasing the chances that you'll break out. "The lipid barrier is what protects our skin from environmental factors, like climate shifts and increased ambient temperature caused by fires," she says. "Thus, it's important to use barrier-replacement skin products — from serum to sunscreen — that have active antioxidants to replenish skin's lipid content." 👍Sunday Riley - A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum: SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol SerumThis product is a concentrated retinol treatment that contained a 6.5% retinol blend (5% retinoid ester, 1% liposomal-encapsulated retinol, and 0.5% blue-green algae). The yellow-tinted serum smooths fine lines, uneven texture, and tackles pore congestion. I can see the texture on my cheeks from acne scars has diminished in appearance and credit to this product! Don't forget eye cream: The same way you don't want to forget sunscreen or a face mask, don't skip your eye cream in the morning. "Thin and delicate eye skin is affected by smog and pollution more than any other area of the face," Dr. Loretta warns. "Your eye area will be exposed, even when you're wearing a mask. So, be sure to use an antioxidant eye cream — maybe one infused with peptides, which will protect your skin and fade dark circles caused by all this stress." 👍Ole Henriksen's Banana Bright Eye Crème:OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème I love this product! It contains vitamin C which is really helpful for my dark circles, while collagen works on firming up the undereye area. The cream has a yellow tint that helps it do its illuminating duties. If you are looking for an eye cream, try this one! Wear your face mask: Some good news: If you're living in an area with poor air quality, wearing your face covering can actually help prevent breakouts. While maskne is a separate issue, Dr. Loretta tells us that a face-covering actually acts as a shield from environmental aggressors like smog and pollution. "Wearing a face mask outdoors helps block pollution particles from penetrating into the skin," she explains, adding an important reminder: Don't pull it on and off. "If you expose your skin to pollution in the air and then put your mask back on, those pollution particles can directly penetrate the skin." (Information from refinery29.com) All products mentioned are personal recommendations. Hope you guy like it and find it works for you!🤗

EYE CREAM - J BEAUTY EDITION
I’ve been trying the ELIXIR - Enriched Wrinkle Cream eye cream for a few weeks now and I love the gel consistency and how hydrating it feels. I can’t 100% speak on the “enriched wrinkle cream” part but I’m sure it’s doing the job and I’ll definitely appreciate it more in the long run (always better to be preventative early!) ☺️ I’ve been using it morning and night but I’ll probably switch to just using it at night and use my OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crèmein the morning bc the Ole one is better at brightening and this one is more for hydration and anti-wrinkle. Also, keep in mind the Elixir eye cream contains retinol so if you do use it in the AM, be sure to apply your sunscreen! I did randomly experience slight stingy under my eyes after I applied it one night, but I read it’s just my skin getting used to the retinol and I haven’t continued to experience it since. EYE CREAM TIPS: Apply eye cream after toner and before moisturizer Squeeze a pea-sized amount and TAP under your eyes, never RUB. Your under eyes are extremely delicate compared to the rest of your face so it’s always important to be gentle. I love how this product comes in a tube rather than a jar which makes it so much more sanitary! Apply eye cream to your smile lines and any super dry areas you may have When applying it in the morning, always let your eye cream fully absorb before applying any concealer! I always rush to apply my concealer, which makes it separate so it’s better to be patient :) Overall, my #1 under eye concern at the moment is dark circles! I’ll continue to use this product to see if it helps drastically at all but as of now, I’m super satisfied with the hydration it provides. It feels really gentle and leaves my under eyes feeling soft and deeply hydrated. I would recommend trying this eye cream if you want something luxurious because it’s a bit on the pricier side (but having retinol is a plus for me)! Let me know if there are any eye creams you swear by that help dark under eye circles pls ✨
OLE HENRIKSEN-Banana Bright Eye Crème
Luxury or Necessity? Eye creams or gels may be one of those products that isn’t really necessary in a skincare routine, but I still use them like they are. 🤪 There are statements made that any moisturizer will do the trick, and there is no need to spend loads of money on a “glorified moisturizer” because eye creams and moisturizers are formulated the same. Some say the skin around the eye is too delicate for a normal moisturizer, and that something gentler is required for the thinner skin. I am currently using the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream during the day for its brightening and smoothing effects. It helps me look like I got adequate sleep. 😂 I love the peachy glow you get after application as well. This was my replacement for the OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème that I loved so much! In the evening, I’ve started using the @glowrecipe GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask . No results to report on as it it too soon to say if/how well it works. Prices: 1) Banana Bright - $52 for 0.5 oz. 2) Eye Duty - $48 for 0.5 oz. 3) Avocado - $56 for 0.5 oz.
