NEW FIND! And I’m pleasantly surprised!?
NEW FIND! And I’m pleasantly surprised!?
It was time to get a new moisturizer. I was currently using the HONEST - Hydrogel Cream paired with the PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer , RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil , and timeless SKIN CARE - Squalane Oil 100% Pure because I have pretty dry skin. I love both of those moisturizers (although I’m not fond of all the Paula’s choice Omega+ complex moisturizer ingredients, but I loooooove the texture and feeling of it ) and love my oils (I won’t stop using the oils), but knew I needed a richer cream and also wanted to keep it down to just one cream, for time and my bank accounts sake. So if you’ve seen my last post, I was deciding between 3 brands but I couldn’t decide and was also nervous to try a new moisturizer, even though I knew I needed one, because I’m also acne prone so a new moisturizer to me was just terrifying lol. I was about to just get my usual HONEST - Hydrogel Cream because I knew it didn’t break me out and I like it a lot, although not quite as moisturizing as I need, it was on the safer side and I can’t imagine going a day without a moisturizer on this Sahara desert of a face!!! But then I discovered this brand I’ve never seen before? It’s called Awake Human. It’s not even a listing on Cherie for me to add the product! I read the ingredients and was intrigued (scroll through pics to see ingredients list), but because of my fear of new moisturizers, I was hesitant.. but I decided to bite the bullet because the ingredients looked amazing, was cheaper than Paula’s choice and the honest beauty’s moisturizer, but had the same amount of product. I received it a few days ago and I am in love!!!!! Soooooo rich and creamy and hydrating feeling, and it had the same smooth, rich, texture as the Paula’s Choice omega moisturizer, that I love so much!!! It comes in a nice little pump type of packaging, which I like. Keeps bacteria and gunk out. If you scroll through my pictures, you’ll see it. And a little bit goes a long way! The picture you see of the product on my fingers is the amount I use, but you can totally use less, especially if you have more oily or normal skin. I just like a lot of moisturizer! Lol I’ve noticed my face is much less dry feeling and looks smoother with less texture. I will keep you updated, but I think this is my new fave!!!! I’m so excited lol. Here the link the purchase: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NWXJYVK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_YHI-Fb9BRJKT0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 If you’re hesitant but intrigued like I was, I strongly encourage you to just try it. And if it happens that doesn’t work for your face, because remember, everyone is different and skincare is not a one size fits all, then it would most definitely be a really really nice hand cream, that would fit nicely in your bag. Have you heard of this brand before? And if so, have you used anything from them?

First cleansing video!
First cleansing video!
Hi y’all! Here’s my first cleansing video! This is what I do about once a week when I have more time. 1️⃣ First off, I use a deep cleanser with a little bit of salicylic acid and the elf massaging facial cleanser (not sure if that’s still around anymore). 2️⃣ I massage the cleanser everywhere I put makeup on, including my neck. The last thing I massage is my eye makeup. 3️⃣ Then I use a reusable cotton facial pad to wipe away all of the makeup and the deep cleanser. 4️⃣ Then I use the Aveeno - Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub and wash that off 5️⃣ Now here’s the thing I sometimes use, only about once a week. It’s the Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner and the Neutrogena - Pore Refining Toner These two dry out my already kinda dry skin so I use them a little less often. But they’re still very good! Now it’s my typical skincare routine!! 1️⃣ I used the fARSÁLI - Liquid Glass Radiance Serum to pat that into my semi damp skin. 2️⃣ Then it’s six drops of my fave RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil and I use a gua sha tool to massage my face and drain the areas that can get puffy when I’m getting stressed 3️⃣ Finally, since it’s winter and dry, my combo skin gets pretty darn dry. So I use an inch long strip of the #Aquaphor - Advanced Therapy Baby Healing Ointment[products]#[FiveStars] That’s it! I just ordered more skincare so I can’t wait to give your my thoughts and try them out! Let me know what your winter skincare routines are below! 👇🏽😊

The first picture you see was my skin just a few days ago... the second one is today.. This is just to show that we are all human and it’s okay to have a bad day!!!! We all go through it, every single human on the universe. Be easy on yourself. You’re still beautiful. A pimple should not make or break your day. EVERY PERSON GOES THROUGH IT!!!! Please, do not beat yourself up. I used to fixate on every single pic mole, blackhead, and pore that was in my face. If I was going through a breakout, I would stare in the mirror a million times throughout the day and just tear myself down, staring at myself. Now, if I have a pimple here and there, I look in the mirror ONLY because I have to.. not because of acne and that helped the insecurity TREMENDOUSLY and now I could give two sh***. I just give myself a little more love and wait for it to blow over, and heal. I hope this helps you, if you’re going through it right now. Appreciate your true self today
Appreciate your true self today
With Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter, how often do you actually appreciate your true raw self? Being that we’re in the time of altered photos, filters, big butts, small waists, lip filler, Botox, perfect skin and makeup, crazy nails, eyelash extensions, and tinted brows, it makes it hard to actually look at your authentic self and love what you see. Look in the mirror, remind yourself that that is not real!!!! And it is not normal. Its normal to have pores, it’s ok if you have sparse eyebrows or shorter lashes.... it’s okay to not have a 23 waist... it’s okay to not have a butt like the Kardashians... it’s okay to have thinner lips... it’s okay to not have perfect skin because nobody actually looks like an Instagram filter!!!! Be you, love YOU. You look the way you are supposed to look, and that’s perfect. So look at yourself, imperfections and all, and remind yourself that you look exactly like you’re supposed to and the things that you see on your feed ARE NOT REAL!!!! I hope this whole “I wanna look like a fake filter” fad, dies as quickly as it came. On my face: RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil

This oil is IT!!!! 👏
This oil is IT!!!! 👏
Rosehip oil is ALWAYS my go to. It’s a dry, non greasy, easily absorbed oil, that’s non comedogenic, light weight, moisturizing, and hydrating and great for all skin types. It is filled with fatty acids which help keep cell walls strong so that they don’t lose water, making it hydrating for skin it’s moisturizing so it also locks in the hydration it’s a natural exfoliator. It is high in vitamin A which is a retinol, so it encourages cell turn over making it is high in vitamin C which also aids in cell regeneration, boosting radiance it boosts collagen formation because of its high potency of vitamin C and A, which is necessary for collagen production it reduces inflammation. It is rich in polyphenols, anthocyanin, and vitamin E, all known for their anti-inflammatory effects it helps protect against sun damage. Vitamin C, A, and E have been shown to combat visible sun damage. They may also prevent photoaging it reduces hyperpigmentation. Vitamin A is known to reduce hyperpigmentation it reduces fine lines and scarring. It’s essential fatty acids and antioxidants help tissue and cell regeneration it boosts immunity As you can see, this is the OG, go to oil for any skin type!!! I use this morning and night, after cleansing, as my moisturizer and hydrator. I put it on my face, neck, chest, boobs, and hands. The brand I use is RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil I’ve done A TON of research on how to pick the best rosehip oil, and I found that this meets all the requirements. If you’re interested on how to choose the best quality rosehip oil, let me know and I’ll make a whole post dedicated to that.

Let’s Talk: The Ordinay AHA/BHA Peel
Let’s Talk: The Ordinay AHA/BHA Peel
Info: This a chemical peel comprised of 30% AHA (Glycolic/Lactic/Tartaric/Citric), 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid), Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B5, Black Carrot and Tasmanian Pepperberry. 💥AHA/BHA exfoliate the top layer of skin (epidermis) giving it a quick go to for blemishes, fine lines/wrinkles, and dark marks. (This is a high concentration of chemicals). 💥Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which means it draws moisture to your skin. 💥Vitamin B5 is an anti inflammatory & a humectant 💥Black Carrot is an antioxidant 💥Tasmanian Pepperberry is a anti inflammatory, anti-oxidant & skin conditioner (also what gives the red color to this acid) How to use: 💥Use this for 10 mins **ONLY IF YOU HAVE USED ACID CHEMICAL PEELS BEFORE** . If not I recommend starting with 2-5 mins then working your way up 💥Use on 1-2xs a week. To avoid overexfoliation 💥Apply with clean dry hands on a clean dry face. This is important as wet skin will not absorbs as well and probably do more harm then good 💥 Do not apply dropper to skin. I recommend putting this in your hands and working on a thin layer. **DO NOT PUT A LOT ON YOUR FACE LIKE YOU SEE INFLUENCER DOING** 💥DO NOT USE A RETINOL, OTHER ACIDS, or VITAMIN C with this product.. you’re just asking for over exfoliation. 💥DO NOT USE ON DAMAGED, PEELING, SCARS, OR ALREADY DRY SKIN (you will be sorry). My routine: **I USE THIS AT NIGHT TO AVOID UNNECESSARY SUN DAMAGE** -Cleanse with CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (set time for 10 mins) Tone PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner - Moisturize CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin (even though I have oily/combo skin I use this for dry skin because of the trauma I just put my skin through and it tends to be on the dry side afterwards) - Apply RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil ***wait 15-20*** -Apply dr. brandt - Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask (leave on all night & go to sleep) Putting moisture back into my skin after a peel is very very very important.
