Good≠Expensive!💥You Can Get A Perfect Skin With Products Under $40!
Highly effective skincare products can be affordable! So I discovered this routine. Everything in my routine is under $40. I hope this is helpful.🌲🌲 1️⃣ CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser $14.99 Y'all should know CeraVe. One of the best drugstore skincare brands. It is alcohol free, not irritating at all. Very friendly to acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. As a moisturizer, it contains glycerol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. It can improve the skin's restoration capacity, making your skin healthier in the long-run. 2️⃣LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer$33 The ingredient list is super simple, which is quite rare among all the skincare products. The texture is creamy white liquid, heavier than water. If you have dry skin, then use it as a toner. And use a moisturizer afterward. If you have oily skin, this product is enough for moisturization. 3️⃣The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%$10.60 This is so hyped these days. Everyone is talking about it and praising it. It claims that it is good for very oily skin. It can reduce acne, maintaining the oil-water balance within the skin. I heard that it is also a good whitening product, but I can't see any effects. 4️⃣timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum$18.44 It includes 20% Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic acid. Some people said that this is a dupe for SkinCeuticals. My skin looks brighter and healthier after using it for a while. I will repurchase it! 5️⃣ OLAY - Total Effects Daily Moisturizer $15.99 Olay is an old skincare brand, but this day cream is awesome! It includes several different kinds of Vitamins. The ingredient list is very clean. Make sure you use the fragrance-free one. It is also SPF 15. Even though it is only 15, it's still better than nothing. 6️⃣Mecca Cosmetica SPF30 Facial Sunscreen $38 This is not oily at all, and it does not smell bad as many other sunscreens. It includes great ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and pomegranate extract. All those ingredients can moisturize the skin. This is a magical sunscreen that can keep your skin hydrated. 7️⃣Glossier balm dotcom $12 The No.1 multi-function product from Glossier. This one doesn't have any color. It has a slight strawberry smell. It includes some simple but proven moisturizing ingredient, such as vaseline and castor oil.

Laneige Cream Skin Toner
🥛 @laneige_us Cream Skin Toner 🥛 What is it? A lightweight, hydrating toner. 🥛Call Outs: Free Of: Parabens, Sulfates, Pthalates, Alcohol, and Silicones Minimal Ingredients 🥛Who’s it for? Suitable for all skin types. Great for anyone with dryness or looking to add more hydration into their routine without any added heaviness. 🥛What’s in it? The inci list is pretty straight to the point with this product. The star ingredient in this product is meadowfoam seed oil (fourth on the inci list). Meadowfoam seed oil is an amazing emollient ingredient, rich in fatty acids. It can also provide added UVB protection and while it is not in itself an antioxidant can increase the skins natural antioxidants which I thought was interesting. Additionally this product contains the humectant glycerin, and antioxidant rich vitamin E and green tea extract (although those are the last two ingredients on the inci list). 🥛My thoughts? I don’t know if I agree that this could take the place of a moisturizer as the label suggests but I do think it’s an excellent hydrating toner. This sinks into my skin quickly and leaves it feeling incredibly soft and plump. It’s very lightweight, the same watery consistency typical of a toner, and has no scent which I love. This is a great way to incorporate oil into your routine if you’re not actually a fan of oils.

How I saved my skin barrier in 2 weeks
So I ruined my skin barrier by mixing BENZAC - Moderate Strength 5% Acne Gel with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cream in the same routine. BP and Salicylic acid should NEVER mix (a lesson I won’t forget in a hurry 🥴). I woke up to bright red, raw feeling skin, similar to very bad sunburn (pic 2). My skin was super tight and within 2 days had a horrible scaly texture. For the 1st day I just used Vichy SOS aftersun but after finding that ineffective I switched it to this routine: NOTE: I added these products in one at a time over the course of two weeks to avoid irritation- when your skin is this sensitised take it slowwww I dampened my face with LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer which sunk in almost instantly, and I would repeat about 3 times. With my skin still damp I then put on a thick layer of The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and left it at just that for about 5 days, topping up every few hours. Within 2 days the redness left my skin, but the extreme dryness meant I had a lot of texture and my skin still felt very tight (pic 3). After those 5 days I began adding sukin - Sukin Facial Moisturizer opting for this as it has no actives or irritants (like niacinamide) and is rich in oils. My skin reacted really well to this and the scaly texture began to ease within a day or so. As I was working in sweaty conditions I brought all of these products with me and regularly washed my face and reapplied (so I wasn’t rubbing dust and dirt into my skin) and by the end of the week my skin began to look normal (pic 4). Finally I added #Olay - Ultimate Hydration Essence- Energising[products]#[FourStars] as an easy hydration method for on the go. If my skin felt dry or irritated I would mist this on to soothe my skin, and reduced down the reapplication of these products to just twice a day (morning and night). I only added this after a week as it contains vitamin C and Niacinamide but found no irritation and it was a good way to get my skin through the day. I kept this routine for another week, I completely avoided the sun and drank lots of water and my skin was back to normal after about 14 days (pic 5). Since then I’ve added every other product in my routine back in one by one (starting with sun screen and going on to more hydrators) and completely avoided all exfoliants for a month. This is an affordable routine that worked really well for me- let me know if you’ve found luck with any other barrier repair products! ✨

Laneige and Cosrx K-Brand Review
Finally used all these products for long enough to be able to give you guys my opinion on them! I ordered all of these from Nudie Glow- a Korean skincare site based in Australia! I bought the COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to help repair my skin barrier after burning my face with BENZAC - Moderate Strength 5% Acne Gel 🙃 and it soothed and calmed my skin within 2 days (I’ll do a post on saving my barrier soon). It’s consistency is sticky and goopy, pretty much exactly as you’d expect from snail mucin, but it dries down well and quickly. It’s fragrance free & the quantity of product is great. I used it in place of hyaluronic acid for a few weeks & did find that it wasn’t quite enough hydration, but teamed with HA it’s super plumping & sits under other products (and makeup) really well. The LANEIGE - Cream Skin Refiner I bought to replace my LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer . They seem to be the exact same product, all I could find online is that the Refiner is meant to be even more hydrating than the toner. I haven’t noticed too much of a difference between the two but my skin is still responding really well to this. I don’t use a cotton pad but just tap it directly onto my skin, it sinks in super fast and I’ve not had a single dry patch since using this. A repeat purchase for sure. I was a little disappointed by theCOSRX - Centella Blemish Cream . It smells amazing (kinda earthy/fresh) and I bought it to also help soothe my barrier repair, which it did do but in terms of reducing redness in blemishes it seems to have no effect. It’s a super thick, opaque cream that you’re meant to spot treat with but as I was finding it’s soothing properties the most effective I just apply a thin layer all over my cheeks before bed. It definitely can’t be worn in the day due to the heavy white cast it leaves. Finally the COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch have been really fun to use. I bought one sheet for $7AUD (but recently purchased another sheet on Amazon for $4AUD). It comes with a range of sizes, they’re all translucent circles. I would say they blend in quite well on fair skin, I even wore one to work once although someone did notice it eventually. They’re hydrocolloid patches meant to draw out impurities & offer a more hygienic alternative to popping pimples. They turn white over time on your skin which is the sign to take it off, but I did find that the patch would go white before having pulled anything out which did mean I wasted a couple thinking it was done. They are good at pulling white heads to the surface & keeping the spot protected from popping urges. They stay stuck on really well & have helped reduce scarring- although that could just be from preventing me from popping them, if you struggle with that I would highly recommend these! Let me know if you want more details! ✨
COSRX-Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
Nighttime routine for combination skin ✨
Hi! I’ve been using every product reviewed for at least 3 weeks & my main concerns are fine lines, blemishes and post acne hyperpigmentation! Let me know your thoughts & recommendations 💕 Cleanser: I start with the BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original the 1st balm cleanser I’ve used & so far so good! This removes waterproof mascara to varying degrees of success but all other makeup gets blitzed with this. There is no real fragrance & I’ve not found it drying! Then I use the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Exfoliator: 2-3 times a week I use the Neutrogena - Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish which is the only AHA product in my routine. It has a physical exfoliant texture so I v gently massage it into wet skin and leave it for about a minute. I don’t experience any redness or tingling & my skin does feel very smooth after. I don’t use my retinol on nights I use this! Toner: On a damp face I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Serums: Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Moisturiser: I’ve been obsessed with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cream ever since I got it. It has Urea (great for eczema) & salicylic acid so it’s very hydrating whilst also working against acne. I use this for my bikini line & any back acne I get (full review on my page) When I use the brightening polish I switch out the above for sukin - Facial Moisturiser 125ml so I’m not combining BHA’s & AHA’s. This is a solid, basic moisturiser that hasn’t broken me out & sinks in quickly. It’s rich in jojoba & avocado oil so I tend to skip face oils when I use this! Retinol: after using the neutrogena SA retinol for 6 months & seeing no results I switched to indeed LABORATORIES - Retinol Reface : Skin Resurfacer & Wrinkle Repair I’ve had no irritation & love the light texture. My skin has been feeling plumper & not dry at all. I’ve been using it 4 times a week while my skin adjusts to the higher %! I go over the bad hyperpigmentation with PALMER'S - Skin Success Anti Dark Spot Cream (I have the pump version to avoid air contact & contamination). This product WORKS. It has retinol & liquorice root extract but also seems to contain glitter? Bizarre. Then Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream as I like a gentler formulation of retinol for the more delicate skin. This sinks in fast, doesn’t irritate & my dark circles have also decreased since using! Oil: finallyKiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate an oldie but goldie. A great seal & smells 🔥🔥
