Kristin Ess Target hair care line 😍
This is by no means my full Kristin Ess collection but these are a few that I’m going to run through today for you all! I’ve been a big fan of Kristin Ess since her days writing hair articles for The Beauty Deparment website so when I saw her line come out at target, clearly I was all for it! I think she has something for just about everyone within her giant collection at Target! KRISTIN ESS - Cleansing Co-Wash So I have some weird frizzy yet flat, coarse but thin hair so I find everything simultaneously too heavy and not hydrating enough for my hair. This co-wash has been a game changer for me. It feels like a conditioner and doesn’t lather but when I focus it on my roots and section my hair like the bottle mentions, my hair feels so clean but so soft after using it! It doesn’t feel greasy at all! I usually normal wash my hair, no wash the next day, and then day 3 I will use this in lieu of normal shampoo/conditioner, then no wash, then back to shampoo again. I’ve found this combo to be the sweet spot for me in terms of not over washing my hair. This product doesn’t really have the capability to strip oils so I barely count it as a heavy wash day, but it does make my hair look fab! Curly girls or people with thick hair would probably LOVE this! KRISTIN ESS - Instant Lift Thickening Spray I had high hopes for this one and it didn’t quite live up but I still enjoy it. First of all, I didn’t read this directions. I thought this was a product for dry hair to add lift to the root. Instead it is for semi-wet hair when blow drying (which I almost never do). It smells a bit of alcohol which isn’t awful but also not great. Luckily it doesn’t last. When I do use it correctly, there is some lift in my root and some texture which is nice. KRISTIN ESS - Weightless Shine Air Dry Crème This is another one I wish I loved more. I don’t notice it do all that much other than give my hair a little bit of shine. I haven’t noticed much with frizz reduction which is really what I was hoping for. It didn’t help my hair dry faster or better but either. I still use it while it’s drying to add a bit of shine but I probably wouldn’t repurchase this one. KRISTIN ESS - Fragrance Free Texturizing Paste I love this product! The texturizing paste is in the fragrance free line which is always nice for those sensitive to smell or who just prefer not to use fragrance. It’s a moderately thin paste compared to some so it spreads in your hands easily for even application to your hair. I usually tousle my ends with it for a piecey look since my hair is naturally wavy, and then take whatever is left on my hands and scrunch it into my root area for some volume and definition up there too. It doesn’t leave any crunchy areas, or make my hair look slick. It just adds some nice texture and that’s really it.
