How To Grow STRONG & HEALTHY Nails💅🏻✨
Here’s my nail story: I’ve always been the person in my friend with the nice nails that 9 times out of 10 always look freshly painted and without any chips. I’ve painted my own nails starting in middle school and always had them painted throughout high school and college. I also dabbled in soft gel nails in my senior year of high school and 1-2x a year throughout college. But I’ve always preferred painting my own nails because I love the act of doing it (it’s very therapeutic to me!) and I love being able to change colors whenever I want. My friends always complain about how their nail polish chips within a day and that they can never grow them out long before they break. Here are the tips I always tell them: Square nails with sharp corners always tend to get caught on thing as you grow them out so square-shaped nails can never last long. I like a squoval (square/oval) shape because it’s the natural curve of my nail bed and the rounded corners never get caught and break! Don’t cut your cuticles!!! I have never ever cut my cuticles before. My grandma always told me once you cut your cuticles you can never go back. Your cuticles are there on your fingers for a reason! They protect your nail bed!!! All I do with my cuticles is push them back with a cuticle stick and it gives me the perfect amount of space and shape for me to paint and follow. Cuticle Oil (like Sally Hansen - Cuticle Rehab Oil ) is key!!! I appy cuticle oil literally wherever and whenever I remember. By keeping your cuticles moisturized your nails can grow out stronger and longer, and it also prevents any hangnails from forming. I love this cuticle oil so much! The packaging makes it easy to pack in your purse on-the-go and apply anywhere! The formula isn’t super greasy and won’t get your phone feeling oily if you use it right after application. I definitely prefer it to the othe cuticle oils I’ve tried. Hand Cream (like Glossier. - Glossier Hand Cream ) is super underrated for keeping your nails moisturized and healthy! I apply hand cream right after I wash my hands to moisturize my cuticles and keep my hands looking plump! Smooth and hydrated hands always makes your nails look better!! This hand cream from Glossier is alright- not the most hydrating hand cream I’ve tried but not the worst. It smells amazing and gives enough moisture for humid weather in the summer months! These are my biggest tips on keeping your nails strong and healthy! Also- if you do gel nails, give yourself a break every now and then. The chemicals in the gel can really damage your nail beds. I have many friends who rely on gel to keep their nails strong but it’s a vicious cycle that will keep your nails weak on their own!

Why is this the most precious!?
So I’m FINALLY taking about the hand cream that shook the beauty world, the @glossier hand cream 💓 First off, why is the packaging literally the cutest most convenient thing ever? Like a flip top, a soft tube and glossier pink? I feel so like cool girl whenever I pull this baby out of my purse or have it on my vanity haha Secondly, the smell. Omg. If you love the perfume, you’ll really love this. It’s incredibly similar!! I’m a sucker for the perfume as it’s such a subtle scent yet I get compliments everytime I wear it, so now that my hands smell pretty too, I’m a happy girl. 🙋🏼♀️ As for the formula, I actually really like it! It’s thick enough to help with my dry hands from all this hand washing, yet not too thick that I can’t function after applying cause it soaks right in. It’s actually perfect and I’m so in love! ❤️❤️ Don’t forget! I’m a Glossier affiliate and would love the support of you using my affiliate link in my bio! You get 10% off your first order 🥰

Glossier products I expected more from ✨
Ever since I received gift that were glossier products I’ve been a fan. I love the minimal aesthetic they have and most of their products are a hit for me. Unfortunately there are some that I didn’t really enjoy that much. Some products are just ok but for the high prices of some of these things I really set the bar high and expect quality results. The glossier hand creme. This came out in late April and I was super excited for this. Online it says it smells like their “you” perfume scent which I’ve liked from the samples I had. It’s not an affordable hand creme, it’s $18 and only has 1.7 oz. Nonetheless I really wanted it. I ordered it and loved the smell. The creme wasn’t oily or left a sticky residue. The only problem now is it has a weird smell. It’s only been a few months since I bought it. I’m kinda annoyed about it cause now it has a plastic smell to it. I try to put it on sometimes but the smell gets to me. The formulation is nice but if it only takes a few months for the smell to go bad then it’s not worth it to me. Glossier. - Glossier Hand Cream Mango balm dot com. I usually love bdc but this particular scent not so much. I expected this to be fruity and like a sweet juicy mango 🥭. It smell better than the actual taste. It does have that mango taste but more bitter. After having this on for a while it leaves a weird aftertaste. I just personally wasn’t a fan of this flavor. Glossier play colorslide. I wanted to love these eye pencils so bad. They’re made of wood so you have to sharpen them which isn’t a problem for me. I chose to order the shade “stable relationship” it’s a super pretty mossy green color. When I got it I immediately swatched it on my hand and it was nice. The color is amazing in person. Unfortunately whenever I apply this on my eyes it pulls and tugs on them. It’s never a smooth line. I have to go over some spots that the pencil skipped. Sometimes I warm up the pencil between my hands to soften the pigment but it’s always the same. If it wasn’t for the pulling and hard tip I’d love it. I have a couple other colors and they do the exact same. Online it says it lasts a while and that is correct. It doesn’t smudge easily. Glossier. - Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil

Glossier: Honest Reviews 👀
Hi 🙋🏻♀️ Here are my honest reviews of these Glossier staples. I love the “You” scent but really had trouble with the Body Hero fragrance. These are my thoughts: Glossier. - Body Hero Daily Oil Wash The best thing I can say about this body wash is that on its own, you only need a small amount and it lathers quickly, which I found surprising because of its thin consistency. But if you use a loofah like me, you’ll definitely need more pumps than you use with your usual wash. The bottle is also noticeably small. This product didn’t really do anything for my skin! It didn’t dehydrate it, but it didn’t nourish it either, which I would expect from a brand like this. But the worst thing about it for me was definitely the scent. It has an unpleasant chemical-orange type of scent that I strongly dislike. It reminds me of chlorine and gym shower soaps. Glossier. - Body Hero Daily Perfecting Cream Initially I actually kind of liked this lotion despite the smell. It was absorbing into my skin nicely and giving it a glossy sheen. HOWEVER, after using it consistently for a while now, the lotion pills every single time I use it and it seems to be getting worse....it’s to the point where I don’t even think it’s worth finishing this lotion because it’s so annoying to put on and the smell isn’t great either. Would not recommend this. Glossier. - Glossier You “I’ve been using this fragrance since the summer and I LOVE it. “You” is gender neutral, subtle, and interesting. I love wearing this scent on casual days or just for hanging out at home. Glossier. - Glossier Hand Cream Also in the “You” scent, which is a huge plus. The packaging for this product is also beautiful. The cream itself I would describe as lightweight, which is perfect for my needs, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. Definitely a win for me! Glossier. - Balm Dotcom Another great one, and this one I KNOW I’ll repurchase. It’s hydrating and gives my lips a glossy sheen. I’m definitely going to repurchase this lip balm, but in a different scent next time. I don’t love the coconut fragrance used in this and am excited to try out a different one. Overall, I strongly dislike the Body Hero products but love everything else. Even if you do like the Body Hero scent, the body wash is thin and the bottle is small. The lotion pills too much to be worth it, even though I think it’s well-priced besides that. But the You line and lip balm are all excellent and will definitely be repurchased!
My Go-To Lip Look
I’m not particularly skilled in the hand dexterity department, so I like my makeup simple and natural. But I love statement lips on “no makeup” makeup looks, which I achieve smoothly and in varying intensity with Glossier. 1. Prep Lips: I prep my lips for product by gently dabbing on moisturizer or Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream , letting it settle before applying a thin layer of Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in a corresponding color as the lipstick I’ll be applying. This creates a smooth, plump base. 2. Matte Color: A single swipe of Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick offers a light tint, getting more vibrant/dark as more layers are applied. Zip has stolen my heart for an olive-skintone-friendly red, neither too orange not too blue. I focus on the center of my lips and feather it out to the edges with my fingertips for a subtle gradient. 3. Gloss: I hate lip gloss. Well, other lip glosses. But Glossier. - Glossier. Lip Gloss manages to slick on without stickiness or tackiness, though it does catch hair in a windy car... which is just life, I suppose! I follow the previous method of focusing on the center of my lips and lightly dragging it outwards with a clean fingertip. This creates a simple, glossy lip that dresses up a simple cat eye or “no makeup” look. #CheriePartner
PR/Gifted // Bringing back to you guys @madeca_derma.us 🌿 Madeca Derma kindly sent me their brand new launch, the Revitalizing Sleeping Mask and I am loving it. Ingredients to highlight: - Niacinamide (I personally love this ingredient, it definitely works well for my skin although it’s not a necessity for me) - Squalane (Love!) - Pollen Extract (Interesting right?) - Propolis Extract (Great ingredient for those with acne prone skin) - Hyaluronic Acid - Honey Extract - Hydrolyzed Collagen The texture of this product is very light weight which is the perfect addition on top of my regular moisturizer (which is now thicker due to the colder months). I am loving the use of sleeping masks lately, I find them to be so great for the skin! The main thing I love about this product is that not only is it hydrating, it has ingredients that target acne prone skin! It’s a two in one! This does contain fragrance, but the smell is very faint. I don’t mind fragrance at all, it doesn’t make a product any less efficient for me. What is your favorite sleeping mask?

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
