Curly Hair Routine (3b and 3c)
Curly Hair Routine (3b and 3c)
The brand for the co-wash wasn’t on here☹️ But I like using this for a quick wash and go. It’s a coconut cleansing co-wash that I found at Ross😂 cantu - Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair I have been using this product since the middle of November and I love it!!!! Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil I heard that Jamaican Black Castor Oil is supposed to promote hair growth so I decided to give it a try. I use the lavender one because it smells better, but I’m assuming they do the same thing. I have been using it for about 4 months and I feel like it has worked. cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Coconut Curling Cream I can’t keep using it every wash day because it causes my hair to be dry cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Wave Whip Curling Mousse Good for holding curls loosely for a quick wash and go, but not really ideal for definition Remington - Pro Professional Titanium Ceramic Hair Dryer Blue D2042 I love this thing!!!! giovanni - 2chic Repairing Super Potion Hair Oil Serum I love this just to add/hold in moisture My hair picks aren’t on here either but I got them in a 6 pack on Amazon for about $6 and they work really well. I’m still getting used to picking out my hair so I don’t know if I’m really the best judge at what is good or bad for a hair pick.

Braidouts Tutorial

Before Wash N Go’s my first love was braidouts. Here is a throwback to a tutorial on one of the last ones I did about 7 months ago 😳 I will do a updated one again, but honestly the process is pretty much the same. I love using alikay naturals for a bomb braidout. —————— Products used: Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil Alikay Naturals Creme Bruleee Alikay Naturals Aloe Berry Gel •

4 WAYS TO REPURPOSE AND REUSE PRODUCT PACKAGING!
4 WAYS TO REPURPOSE AND REUSE PRODUCT PACKAGING!
A few weeks ago I was talking to some makeup enthusiasts about how I hoard my product packaging! The boxes that the product containers come in and the actual containers themselves. I don’t know why but I will keep them for weeks (or longer 🙈) before discarding them. So instead of just having them lying around collecting dust I’ve decided to repurpose them. I use tarte - Timeless Smoothing Primer and I can’t throw away my empty container until I replace it. So this time instead of tossing the old container I decided to use it as a container for a DIY lip scrub (I just used petroleum jelly and brown sugar). The packaging is so tiny I can just throw it in my bag or leave on my desk. I also kept the box from the new primer i got to put hair ties and hair clips in. I always lose my hair accessories in my bag so now I have a place that all of them can live! I finished my urban decayURBAN DECAY - Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid color corrector and found a dupe for it but I really like the packaging for the UD product because it comes with a brush applicator that makes it easy to just apply to your face without having to use a makeup brush. I put the dupe product in the UD container and now I can apply it as easily as I did the UD product. I use Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil and applying it to my scalp can be a real chore because I have to part my hair and apply between sections. My sister uses a castor oil that has a dropper so she just sticks the dropper in her hair and onto her scalp and rubs it in without parting her hair but the oil that she uses is more expensive than Sunny Isle and I really like the oil just not the application process. When I finished my bottle of ASTERWOOD NATURALS - Vitamin C Serum I rinsed out the packaging and filled it with my castor oil. Now I can easily apply oil to my scalp without having to spend more money! #CheriePartner

WASH DAY VIBEZ : DRY DAMAGED HAIR HOLY GRAIL💆🏾
WASH DAY VIBEZ : DRY DAMAGED HAIR HOLY GRAIL💆🏾
^( 2 min video) I have had my hair in a protective style for the past 2 months and I’ve finally taken out my braids. This is my go to wash day routine. It leaves my hair soft, adds much needed moisture back into my hair and keeps my hair strong. Since I’ve been doing this routine and wearing protective styles, which has been for about a year and a half, I have seen significant growth and less breakage. I have 4C hair, tight coily dry hair. Deep Conditioning I part my hair in sections saturating my hair from roots to ends with product. I use Salon Care - Professional Cholesterol Cream Conditioner This product helps hydrate my super dry hair as well as retain moisture and strengthen hair follicles . I just wish it had a pump lid. My hair gets in the jar all of the time. After my hair is fully saturated I put a plastic cap over my hair and sit under a heat cap for 15 mins (you can just leave the cap on for 30 mins if you don’t have a heat cap). Before washing I comb out the knots with a wide toothed comb. Wash I use ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Shampoo & ogx - Coconut Miracle Oil Conditioner If you read my post I rave about this shampoo and conditioner combo. They are super affordable and I would compare it to Moroccan Oils Shampoo and Conditioner which used to be my go to before I found this. They are sulfate and paraben free and keep my hair hydrated long after my wash. Post Wash I use Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil this oils is super thick so I don’t feel the need to apply everyday. It keeps my hair moisturized for days. This product gives my hair shine and helps increase blood circulation in my scalp which promotores hair growth. After I put oil in my hair I usually do a twist out or if I’m feeling lazy put on a satin bonnet until I work up the energy to style my hair. #CheriePartner

AU-NATURAL GLOW IN THE FALL & SNOW 🍁❄️
AU-NATURAL GLOW IN THE FALL & SNOW 🍁❄️
It’s getting colder outside and it’s time to break out the heavy duty moisturizing products I put away for summer. When it comes to hair and skin hydration natural products work best for me. They are thicker and not diluted like moisturizers and creams AND most times they are cheaper than products with long ingredient list. Because theses products are natural moisturizers they can be used interchangeably. Coco butter, Shea butter and Castor oils are all non-comedogenic and won’t clog your pores! Here is how I use them: Kuza Naturals - 100% African Shea Butter - After I wash my face and apply my serums I use Shea butter as my moisturizer. I take a dime sized amount and rub between my hands to melt, then rub into my face. I also use it to moisturize my entire body. It coats my skin and preps next for the harsh air. I wish i could fit in this container because there is absolutely nothing Shea butter isn’t good for. Heating it up and mixing with tea tree oil also makes a great hair and scalp treatment! Cococare - 100% Cocoa Butter, the Yellow Stick - I use this on my lips. It keeps my lips moisturized for hours and keeps my lips from getting dry or cracked even after the shine wears off. This stick also makes it easy to apply all over your body. Coco care has both Shea butter and cocoa butter sticks I carry with me in my bag when I’m out just in case my legs need more shine. Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil - in the summer I use castor oils mixed with other oils for my hair so that it won’t melt into my face but in the colder months I use 100% castor oil. My hair is dry, coily and fragile so I constantly need to add moisture to keep it from breaking off. Castor is thick and coats my hair so that it stays moisturized longer and doesn’t break. For people with loose waves and thick straight hair, this is a great hot oil treatment. It add so much shine to your hair and strengthen it as well. Asali Aromatics Sweet Basil & Lemon Honey Soap - this soap is made from natural ingredients that will keep your skin hydrated and soft. It contains ingredients like: Coconut oil Beeswax Honey Cupuaçu Butter Clay These ingredients create a hydrating nutrient rich blend that fights signs of aging and keep your skin glowing long after your shower. I also use this soap if I’m doing a quick shave. It leaves a thick coat on the skin so the razor glides across. Not to mention the honey soaps smell amazing! #CheriePartner

Feed your hair and scalp
Feed your hair and scalp
Gone are the days of Luster’s Pink Lotion. I will rejoice and be glad in it. I have natural, 4C hair and there was a time when I could only get hair products from the beauty supply store. That has thankfully changed — even if most department stores like to categorize the products I need as “ethnic hair products.” (But that’s is a discussion for another day.) I also have a dry scalp if I don’t oil it. Most of the products I purchased from Sephora, T.J. Maxx, Sephora, BirchBox and my local department stores. And since I have 4C hair, my hair tends to be on the dry side. This is because the oil from my scalp has more of a hurdle to get over because of the coils unlike the easily shot straight hair provides. I find it best to treat the scalp and hair like two different entities. I use the scalp massager (not the Sephora brand one. I am pretty sure I got it from Amazon) to work in my PAUL MITCHELL - Tea Tree Special Shampoo and PAUL MITCHELL - Tea Tree Special Conditioner while in the shower. The tingling is amazing, but DON’T GET IT IN YOUR EYES. From there, the hair masks obviously focus on the the moisture and repairing of my hair while the oils I use to help my scalp, then seal in the moisture the masks infused in my hair. I try to switch up my masks often and mix them when I am feeling adventurous. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask : I received the tube one in a BirchBox. It is packed with nutrients and is supposed to help damaged hair. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo : My Sephora birthday selection. It is for all hair types and is supposed to breakdown buildup. amika: - Triple Rx Mask : A $14.99 TJM purchase that I just couldn’t turn down. It is supposed to repair, restore and revitalize dry or damaged hair. OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner: Also a BirchBox product. I haven’t used it yet. now - Solutions, Certified Organic, Jojoba Oil is rich with fatty acids and helps promote softer hair and skin. now - Solutions, Sweet Almond Oil is high in vitamin E and locks moisture into hair strands. Reduces dandruff and promotes a healthy scalp #365 - Avocado oil[products]#[FourStars] stimulates blood flow and unclog blocked follicles. Sunny Isle - The Original Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil and all of the other SI JBCO are GOATs. I love this brand and JBCOs. (Not pictured) What are your hairly grail products? #CheriePartner
