Treat ur oily scalp! Christophe Robin or Briogeo
Treat ur oily scalp! Christophe Robin or Briogeo
I have an oily scalp, which annoying me for a while. I have two scalp treatments to share with you gals that are aiming at the oily scalp. Let's see which one truly works on my scalp problem. Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub with Sea Salt $53 / 246ml My sales recommend me Christophe Robin Scalp Scrub to save my oily scalp. This item is really popular. So, I decided to give a try. It is a scalp exfoliator and shampoo that claims to clean and soothes sensitive/ oily scalps. The ingredient contains sea salt that could remove scalp residue. It also comes with sweet almond oil to provide hydration and soothing for the scalp. The texture of it is very creamy and heavy, but easy to get rich foam. It cleans my scalp thoroughly that makes my scalp feel so clean and nice. It does have soothing benefits as it claims. BTW, the smell is really nice too, fresh and clean. I use it twice a week instead of shampoo. It saved my oily scalp. Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliation Shampoo $43 / 236ml I bought this one a few months earlier than the Christopher Robin one. I bought it because it's clean beauty and has quite a few positive feedbacks. It aims at solving the same problem. The key benefits of this Shampoo are to detoxifies and removes buildup, hydrates the scalp, and soothes itchy/flaky scalp. For my experience, I felt it clean my scalp well and smells very refreshing. It feels very calming and cooling on the scalp. The charcoal ingredient also does a great job on detoxifying my scalp. The coconut oil prevents the scalp from dryness. I use this product once every 1-2 weeks. Both of them work well on my oily scalp. But I love Christopher Robin better, as the smell of it is nice, and it cleanses my scalp more thoroughly. You can see in the picture I post, I'm almost finishing it. It's a bit pricy than Briogeo ($10 more). I think the Briogeo product is more suitable for a very sensitive scalp. You could make a decision by your own preference.

Christophe Robin Purifying Scrub Review
Christophe Robin Purifying Scrub Review
[PRODUCT REVIEW] Hair Christophe Robin - Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt Vegan Cruelty free Contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrance What it is: A scalp scrub shampoo paste. It contains sea salt and sweet almond oil. It exfoliates, removes product buildup and also rebalances itchy/flaky scalps. Texture: Thick paste with coarse sea salt in it. Fresh and light scent. How I use it: I use this scrub in place of my regular shampoo about once a week. I make sure to comb through and detangle my hair before wash. I apply about a dime size to wet hair, add water and massage. The sea salt dissolves and it will lather. After I rinse it out I make sure to use a conditioner. I don’t think it makes my hair feel any “dryer” than a silicone free shampoo. My experience: This is my second or third empty! I’ve been using this product on and off since 2018 and it will stay in my rotation. I have fine, thin, and limp hair plus oily scalp. And I used to bleach and color my hair a lot. I really love how this scrub completely cleanses my scalp and gives my hair volume. This mini size lasts a long time.

THIS vs THAT: Scalp Scrub Edition
THIS vs THAT: Scalp Scrub Edition
Today I’m going to be comparing two of the most popular scalp scrubs out there: 🔹Christophe Robin - Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt 🔸Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo I first tried a travel size of the briogeo scrub from my Sephora bday gift last year and have since used another travel size and repurchased the full size. I picked up the CR scrub and have been using for about a month and a half now. I only do a scalp scrub 1x per week max in place of shampoo so it takes me a while to get through these products making them well worth the price. Here’s a few notes on each one: SCENT 🔹clean, herby scent that reminds me of being at an aveda hair salon 🔸Girl Scout thin-mint cookies...I saw this description from several people and didn’t believe it but it is spot on Overall, I like the Christophe Robin scrub more for its scent. Both these scrubs contain added fragrance which hasn’t bothered me but is something to note if you’re extra sensitive. 🔹 TEXTURE 🔹thick creamy base with chunky salt that can be difficult to spread all over the scalp 🔸thinner base with well incorporated, small plant grains that’s easy to use and gently scrubs For me, the Briogeo scrub feels gentler and easier to use. The granules are evenly distributed and gentler on my scalp 🔸 KEY INGREDIENTS 🔹sea salt to exfoliate, almond oil to hydrate and soothe 🔸charcoal to detox, coconut oil to hydrate, peppermint + tea tree to soothe RESULTS 🔹this scrub foams up a ton, though I do have trouble sometimes breaking up the big salt chunks in the scrub. This leaves my scalp feeling VERY clean - almost too clean, which is probably a result of the SLS as the second ingredient. I have noticed my scalp is a little irritated if I use this too often but for occasional use (~every 10 days) or to really beat back buildup I do like it 🔸the small plant particles very gently exfoliate the scalp and this scrub lathers well. My scalp and roots feel very nourished after using this and clean but never stripped I prefer the way my scalp feels after using the Briogeo scrub I prefer the results I get with the Briogeo scrub 🔸 COST 🔹$42 for 8oz 🔸$53 for 8.3oz Briogeo is better value for basically the same size 🔸 PAO 🔹 6 months 🔸 18 months I probably couldn’t get through a full size in 6mo so Briogeo is my clear winner here! 🔸 THE OVERALL WINNER: 🔸Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo Despite the amazing scent of the Christophe Robin scrub, Briogeo is the clear winner for me! It fits so seamlessly into my routine, is easy to use, and leaves my scalp feeling absolutely amazing! After falling in love with this scrub, I’ve purchased several more Briogeo products and love the way my hair feels while using them! 💛 What’s your favorite scalp scrub?

First GlossyBox Reveal!!!
First GlossyBox Reveal!!!
Pretty excited to get my first Glossy Box! I honestly had no idea what to expect because my husband signed me up as a surprise! ❤️ He is awesome. Any way the Glossy Box is like 19$ a month for like 6 items. One thing I can definitely say about the subscription boxes they totally win as far as variety. There’s a little bit of everything here from head to toe. So I really love that. Here is what I got!!! NUDESTIX - Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm ✨ This was a full size item that I got in my box it cost $26 and it’s a two in one product meaning you can use this on your lips and as a cheek color. The blend of this make up stick is so good, it contains moisturizing properties like vitamin E and other plant oils. #MINETAN - Coffee Scrub[products]# ✨ this is a travel size pouch of body scrub and it cost about $15. Caffeine in body scrubs has been huge lately because of all of the benefits for cell turnover and cellulite. The scrub also contains sweet almond and macadamia oil‘s for added moisture and to leave your skin glowing. Use the scrub for about five minutes on wet skin and that is it. The ground coffee inside helps whisk away all of that dry flaky skin. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi ✨ Love me some Youth to the People OK!!! This is a deluxe mini of their moisturizer cream and it runs at $18. This cream is for dry reactive and sensitive skin and it’s packed with plant extracts and peptide complex for added hydration without clogging your pores. I can’t wait to use this cream I have tried their other one and absolutely loved it so I’m excited about this one. Christophe Robin - Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt ✨ Get down to your roots and scrub out all of that build up and flaky skin that is on your scalp with this stuff! I am a lover of scalp scrubs I currently use nature lab but I’m excited to try this one out. The one I got in my box is just a deluxe mini end it cost about 9$. It’s meant to help restore balance to your scalp and cleanse away everything that is clogging or hindering your hair follicles. Use this item once a week in place of shampoo and just follow up with conditioner. #K-Glo - Soothing Coconut Bio-Cellulose Eye Mask[products]# ✨ This is an intensive all around eye treatment that contains naturally fermented coconut juice which is meant to help smooth nourish and plump the skin around your eyes. This mask cost $6. You just put it on around your eyes after you’ve cleansed your skin for about 10 to 15 minutes. I have never used and I am ask that went all the way around my eyes so I’m very excited to use this one! If you like try before you buy subscription boxes then GlossyBox is definitely a good one to look into because it gives such a good variety. https://www.glossybox.com/referrals.list?applyCode=JOSHUA-RR6 #CherieCreator❤️

It keeps your hair fresh!
It keeps your hair fresh!
This may sound crazy, but our water is too soft for my hair to tolerate. Most people complain about the effects of hard water on hair, but the water that’s too soft can be just as annoying. I’ve got fine hair, but a lot of it and it feels disgustingly greasy and dirty if I wash it using super soft water. When I do, it’s like the product hasn’t been rinsed out and it looks ratty and oily right after getting out of the shower. I spent years looking for anything that would help and stumbled upon this scrub. So happy I did! Christophe Robin - Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt I received this in a beauty subscription and it sat in my bathroom cabinet for a while. I regret not using this sooner for my scalp psoriasis because it really made it subside. I use it every day now and my hair has never felt so clean! You might find you don’t even need it every day as it’s more of a clarifying product. If I don’t use it though, my hair immediately returns to being a greasy mess. So happy I found this. Previously I would only wash my hair because I was concerned about chemicals getting into my open skin. I rub it around the perimeter of my scalp and let it sit for a moment then rub it in and lather it up and let it sit. I use a good conditioner afterward because the salts dry out my hair. I'm so pleased with my hair now! This is honestly the best scalp scrub I’ve ever used. i have gone through so many other scrubs and they don’t really do anything. I’ve seen a lot of people complain about the price since it is so small but the thing is you are only supposed to use it once or twice a week. I use a nickel-size amount and sometimes add a little of my other shampoo. That way it really lathers into my scalp. I love how it smells and how it suds up, it’s helped with my dandruff. I will purchase this over any other scalp scrub in the future!

Oily scalp? Dandruff? You can't miss this!
Oily scalp? Dandruff? You can't miss this!
I have been using this product called Christophe Robin - Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Saltor a while. It helps tremendously with my scalp psoriasis. I have oily scalp, so I wash my hair many times a week to make sure my hair doesn’t 't look too greasy. And dandruff bothers me a lot. I also tried some other brands' salt scrubs, but this stuff is amazing.   Over the past couple of months I have noticed oily lumps and scaly spots on my scalp. Have used this product twice. I thought it was normal for my scalp to be itchy and flaky after color treatment. I was so wrong. It really clears up my scalp.I am very impressed and thrilled to find something that relieves problems. I have used it so far and I do notice a great improvement. I regret not using this sooner for my scalp psoriasis because it really made it subside. Previously I would only use the traditional shampoo to wash my hair because I was concerned about chemicals getting into my open skin. But to use this product, this sea salt hair scrub leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean.I rub it around the perimeter of my scalp and let it set for a moment then rub it in and lather it up and let it sit. The salt rinses out of my hair super easily and leaves my scalp feeling exfoliated and moisturized. I use a good conditioner afterwards because the salts dry out my hair. I generally avoid sulfates, but using this once a week has actually been the perfect amount of deep sulfate cleanse for my hair to have plenty of body and stay buildup-free.   This is honestly the best scalp scrub I've ever used. I have gone through so many other scrubs and they don 't really do anything. But I think you're only suppose to use it once or twice a week. I use a nickel size amount and sometimes add a little of my other shampoo. That way it really lathers into my scalp. It can really help clean the scalp take the impurities out of hair.   I love how it smells and how it suds up, it 's helped with my dandruff. I will purchase this over any other scalp scrub in the future! It really makes my scalp clean and relaxed.Highly recommend.
