🚰 water-based /amino acid rich cleansers
I’ve accumulated a few mini cleansers through gift sets & Sephora points & as I began to research the ingredients I found a lot of similarities. So I figured why not review them side by side. 🥥💧Of course their ingredients do differ, but easily comparable. Each of these cleansers are water-based (1st ingredient in all 3) & all contain a combination of Glycerin & various Coconut Oil derivatives as their first 6 ingredients. Each cleanser also contains Amino Acids! These are the building blocks of Proteins & Peptides. Each Amino Acid performs a specific function in skin care. Certain Amino Acids occur naturally in our skin & work together with Aquaporins (the water transport system of your body) to replenish moisture through the dermis layers. Amino Acids our bodies make are considered non-essential. Essential Amino Acids are the ones your body cannot naturally produce. Some work as Antioxidants, but most Amino Acids actually help your skin to reproduce its own Antioxidants. The 9 essential ones are: Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Valine & my personal favorite Tryptophan🥛 *I’m a double-cleanserer; currently using: YVES SAINT LAURENT - Top Secrets Universal Makeup Remover Balm in Oil keep postponing a full review on this even though I use it everyday, idk😚 🔮TATCHA - The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser $35/4 oz This is a rich cleanser & I love it. It feels really nourishing! If you’re a fan of their rice powders, you should definitely try- this leaves your skin feeling more hydrated! Strong scent-floral/herbal. 🧼TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser $38/5 oz First off, I’ve heard many complaints about the bottle & how it dispenses. A nay.nay first- She figured out how to open something “complicated” instead of youtubing how to open some simple af product😂 🕳It has a tiny hole to dispense, & it’s odd, but the backside of the bottle is a thinner plastic than the logo side, & you actually push the back of the bottle, & it dispenses fine! I got to every last drop💧 The formula is a lovely texture; it’s kinda thick, which I like in a cleanser because I can control it better. The physical exfoliant in this is quite gentle, the only physical exfoliant I like to use on my face is sugar, but these little bits of Luffa fruit are very tiny, sparse & gentle. Yes, it’s the same Luffa you’re thinking of! I included a pic of the plant in the slides. I loved this cleanser most out of the 3, found myself reaching for it the most. The scent isn’t as strong as Rice Wash. It’s not stripping at all, but my face feels so clean! It’s kept my skin clear, it creates a nice rich lather without much product, I’m def considering buying the full size! 💌fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash $38/5.1 oz Just not a fan. It certainly doesn’t remove makeup on its own. Smells lovely of cucumbers, but feels goopy & slippery.

Ingredient Spotlight — Fresh Soy Face Cleanser
fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash BEST FOR Normal, dry, combination, and oily skin types INGREDIENTS - Amino Acid-rich Soy Proteins — maintains elasticity and suppleness. - Cucumber Extract — soothing - Rosewater — calming + balancing OPINION This has been my holy grail cleanser for years. It was the first high-end cleanser I ever purchased, and one that I keep coming back to time and time again (and always have on hand). It has a texture that is like a gel, but feels more sticky (almost like gel with a bit of slime added, haha). I find that all you need is a little bit to cleanse your entire face so the bottle lasts quite a while. This claims to completely remove makeup, and that is the one place where I do not agree with the claims. However, I do not think that any cleanser will singlehandedly remove all your makeup. So, I typically use this as a second cleanse after using an oil or balm cleanser, unless I am bare-faced. Is it pricey? yes. $38 for a 5 oz. cleanser is pretty expensive, but I think it is completely worth it because its gentle, non-stripping, and leaves my skin feeling clean and bouncy. This is a forever repurchase for me.

How I cleared my Acne - My AM and PM routine
Swipe left !! 🔙 So, my Hormonal acne is almost cleared up and I'm so excited to share with you how I cleared my acne as well as what products worked amazing for that! As shown in pictures six months back I had painful, bleeding cystic acne that flared up because of PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). I managed to leave them at bay now, leaving me focused on just the acne scars which are also faded a lot! I believe whoever has hormonal acne, or breakouts in general this routine will for you! So here's my morning and nighttime routine for past six months ( some products are added recently but they're helping me in maintaining my skin Acne-free) AM - @fresh Soy cleanserfresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash @innisfree Panthenol 10 tonerinnisfree - Truecare Panthenol 10 Moisture Skin @naturium Hyaluronic acid essence 2% NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% @Tula Pro-Glycolic PH resurfacing tonerTULA SKINCARE - Pro-Glycolic 10% Resurfacing Toner Alternate day (replacing AHA/ @tula toner) - @naturium Vitamin C Super serum plusNATURIUM - Vitamin C Super Serum Plus @theordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% @naturium Niacinamide 12% + Zinc 2% NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% @sundayriley C.E.O Vitamin C rich hydration cream SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Azaleic acid is such a great all rounder and no brainer when it comes to treating Acne and lightening/fading dark spots. Quick overlook of it's benefits- - Anti-microbial (hence kills acne causing bacteria) - Anti-inflammatory (reduces redness and look of blemishes) -Gently exfoliates skin (Unlike potent AHA but gives similar exfoliation) - Reduces skin texture and textural irregularities - Lightens and brightens dark spots, PIH, melasma by slowing down melanin production - Works well with almost all actives including AHA/BHA, Vitamin C, Retinols - Isn't photosensitive meaning you can use it in the morning as well as at night. Cleansers I’m swearing by (Reason: Ingredients)
These are amazing cleansers I specifically chose for my sensitive and Acne prone skin. I always go through ingredients of each products before even buying them and I really liked these. I love these cleansers for both my morning and nighttime routine. These are perfect for Oily/Acne/Sensitive skin types. These both don't strip away skin's natural oils and are non-irritating. I believe textures and feel of skincare product matter equally when it comes to using a product consistently. If you don't enjoy some textures and feel of one product you wouldn't use it for long time, leading it to not giving you any visible changes to skin. These both cleansers are water based cleansers and have different interesting textures! I have been using @glamglow Gentlebubble Daily conditioning cleanser GLAMGLOW - Gentlebubble Daily Conditioning Cleanser for months now and it's my favorite one at the moment! It has an amazing stringy texture and it lathers so gently taking away all the makeup, grime and dirt as well as first cleanse (oils, balm) so well! You only need a pea size amount to lather well and cover whole face and neck. The ingredients list is pretty minimal and simple. I really like the non-stripping, non- comedogenic ingredients call out. ✨Highlighted Ingredients: - Teaoxi Green Tea Leaf: Infuses antiaging antioxidants to combat the day’s stressors with essential vitamins. - Oat Amino Acids: Helps condition. - Apple Extract and Vitamin E: Deeply cleanses. The second best and my all time staple in cleansers is @fresh Soy face cleanser fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash ❤️ Although this cleanser claims to work as gentle makeup remover as well, I always use a balm/oil as my first cleanse. This can be effective in taking off sunscreen or minimal makeup bit I would still double cleanse. This cleanser takes all the love because of its bouncy jelly texture that glides on face without even lathering much. I really enjoy it's minimal, elegant scent which is non at all overwhelming. This jelly cleanser is so hypo-allergenic and non-irritating that it never inflammed my Active breakouts! The ingredients call out in this cleanser are my favorite! Although, this cleanser has a long list of ingredients. ✨Highlighted Ingredients: - Amino Acid-rich Soy Proteins: Help maintain skin elasticity and suppleness. - Cucumber Extract: Aids in soothing the skin. - Rosewater: Notable for its calming and balancing properties. First ingredient in this is Water, second is Coco-Glucoside (surfactant) and third is Glycerin. These are followed ahead with a lot of cleansing oils like soybean seed oil and sunflower seed oil. I like this cleanser because of it's cooling, soothing feeling when washed face with it! These are my current favorite picks for Oily and Acne prone skin type! Which ones do you like?

fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash My skin type: dry/combo/sensitive What the product is: face wash made with soy proteins, cucumber extract and rose water What the product does: gently cleanse your skin to remove all dirt and makeup Cost: $20 CAD for 50ml/1.7oz Texture: a lightweight gel My experience: There’s a reason I currently have 3 restocks in my collection as a backup for this cleanser - it’s incredible! 😍 This is a longtime favourite cleanser of mine - I’ve been repurchasing since I was in high school! It’s a super gentle yet effective cleanser and it doesn’t irritate or strip my dry/combo/sensitive skin. It removes all of my eye makeup and any dirt/oil on my skin without leaving anything behind and it feels really hydrating as it cleanses. It always leave my skin feeling super fresh and clean. I always find myself coming back to this cleanser because it works so well and I’m always so happy with the results. 🙌🏻 Would I recommend: Yes I would definitely recommend this to anyone with dry/combo/sensitive skin that is looking for a gentle, effective daily cleanser that won’t strip their skin! My Simple Ritual
I’ve been debating whether or not to post something like this, but maybe it’ll help individuals with a similar skin type and similar needs. My skin is very sensitive and slightly on the dry side. It is reactive, meaning that acne can pop up easily, and my sensitivity can get worse, depending on the products that I’m using. My main goal is to keep things simple, while also making sure I’m using effective products. In my opinion, a solid routine/ritual should include 5 steps: cleansing, exfoliating, treating, moisturizing, and protecting. Cleanse 🧼: Fresh’s “Soy Face Cleanser” is the star of this category. It’s so gentle, filled with skin-loving goodies, and leaves skin feeling clean. I can honestly say that it’s the only cleanser I’ve tried that doesn’t leave me feeling dry. I don’t wash my face in the morning, I simply use water. Skin can become damaged from over-washing. Exfoliate ✨: For this step, Foreo’s “Luna Mini 2” is quite the handy tool. After massaging the cleanser on my face with my hands, I’ll go in with this guy and get all the dead skin and other nasties off; while also getting a deeper massage. By using this product, I don’t feel the need to use acid-infused products. They’ve never worked for me! This is also great because it’s antimicrobial and you don’t need to buy new brush heads! Tip: use this to gently exfoliate your lips. Works wonders! Treat 🧪: I feel it’s very necessary to have a treatment, depending on what one’s skin is craving. The “First Care Activating Serum” from Sulwhasoo is quite the multitasker. It balances, tones, and assists with anti-aging, while also acting as an essence. So glad I discovered this. This also smells GREAT. Moisturize 💦: I’m not conventional when it comes to typical, cream or gel moisturizers. In fact, I’ve never used one that didn’t end up breaking me out. So, instead, I use face oils. The Herbivore “Phoenix Cell Regenerating Face Oil” has been a godsend. It’s loaded with fantastic oils that are great for repairing and keeping skin hydrated, plump, and toned. It’s also been working a lot better since I incorporated the Sulwhasoo serum into my routine. Protect 🕶: Lastly, we have Krave Beauty’s “The Beet Shield.” This was a total game changer for me. I hated wearing sunscreens prior to discovering this! This protects skin, doesn’t break me out, is filled with antioxidants, the list could go on and on. Also, it washes off very easily. If you loathe sunscreens, please try this! You will not regret it. So there you have it! That’s my simple ritual. Of course, it could be more simple. One could cut out the Foreo brush and the Sulwhasoo serum. But for me, personally, I feel there would be gaps in my routine without them. I also need to mention that finding products that can multitask is great. It can take steps out of one’s routine and save money, too! Although I tryout a lot of products, these are here to stay! I’ve seen such an improvement in my skin since using these.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
