✨Double Cleansing✨
✨Double Cleansing✨
My 3 favorite products for the first step of double cleansing. BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water Sensibio H2O is something I have used for a very long time and on a daily basis. Absolutely my favorite and a holy grail for me. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm was my first cleaning balm that basically introduced me to the idea of balms and oils. It does an amazing job at melting off my makeup. Sometimes it emulsifies well, while on some days it leaves an oily film which is hard to get off. The texture is also not my favorite. It is not as smooth as I would like it to be. Nevertheless, for $10 it is a good cleansing balm. Juno & Co Cleansing Balm. Omg this stuff. I became a huge fan of it the day I tried it. It transforms from a buttery solid to smooth, silky texture with no clumps. It removes the makeup so effortlessly. It is made up of only 10 ingredients, top ingredients being Japanese barley and vitamin E. It doesn’t leave any residue and washes off well. It has instantly become my top cleansing balm.

2nd Week On Differin: Retinization
2nd Week On Differin: Retinization
Daily Use and Irritation: I switched to using Differin daily during my second week. I noticed my skin was getting slightly more irritated. This irritation is known as retinization, which is normal when starting topical retinoids. My face was red, irritated, and itchy. I also started purging near my chin, but those breakouts resolved relatively quickly. The irritation peaked around the time I started daily use, but has since subsided. I was definitely expecting a worse retinization reaction, since my skin is pretty sensitive; however, the irritation wasn’t as uncomfortable as I anticipated. How I Dealt with Irritation: Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I don’t think it’s possible to over-moisturize your skin while using topical retinoids. I also recommend applying differin over your moisturizer to reduce any irritating effects. I was using the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream, but I felt like it was too light of a consistency. I ended up running out of the Protini Polypeptide during this time, so I switched over to using DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream. The Lala Retro Whipped Cream has a much richer consistency than the Protini Polypeptide, and it leaves my skin feeling super soft in the morning after PM application. I also started used the THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balmas a 10 minute face mask to help soothe and moisturize my irritated skin.

✨Pore Minimizing AM Routine for Combo/dry Skin✨
✨Pore Minimizing AM Routine for Combo/dry Skin✨
Hi lovely beautiful people ☀️❤️ Today I want to share the AM skincare routine I’ve been using for awhile now, with the exception of the THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm that I just got my hands on 4 days ago. I truly believe I am seeing great results and would love to hear what y’all think 😛 My skin type: Slightly sensitive, combination skin more on the dry side My skin concerns ❌Uneven texture, on my cheeks and nose primarily ❌Large pore appearance and gunk built up in my pores ❌Mild breakouts + blackheads ❌Severe wrinkles between eyebrows and on forehead as well as around my mouth for only being 27 ...so basically everything lol 🌸 1 🌸 THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm I ❤️❤️❤️ this CB. Before I got this gem 4 days ago I was using the HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser as my morning cleanse (as well as my 2nd cleanse at night) and I think it worked beautifully, but my main goal is to improve my skin texture right now and in order to do that I need to break down the gunk that’s built up over the years. But I also need to repair my moisture barrier, so I wanted to use this super nourishing cleansing balm as my AM cleanse. I really feel it smoothing out and gently buffing my skin when I massage. I run it gently into my skin for at least 8 minutes. I always get that satisfying feeling of feeling gunk coming out when I cleanse with this. Also there are great emulsifiers in this formula so it rinses off of the skin completely + beautifully. After I rinse this off, cue... 🍉2🍉 GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner I think this toner is so unique and awesome I’m so many ways. it has this gloopy jelly like texture when the product is picked up. A little goes a long way! I bought the small size and have more than 70% left after 6+ weeks of use. This has amazing ingredients like cactus water, watermelon, PHAs, BHA (from willow bark), hyaluronic acid + more. It exfoliates but EVER so gently, I use it am + pm, except on days where I use more intensive exfoliating treatments or retinol. 👩‍🔬3👩‍🔬 While my skin is damp from applying the toner I go in with Awake - Glow Pill serum. It contains Niacinamide as the second ingredient, as well as several different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. 🍒3🍒 FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry is what I apply after the glow pill. This stuff smells amazing like cherries! Just started it 2 weeks ago so no results so far but I love the formula and texture. 💦4💦 FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer I LOVE this! It’s a lighter version of the ultra repair cream. It’s amazing ☀️SPF☀️ COOLA - Mineral Face SPF30 Matte Cucumber I love this as it mattifies my skin but not too much. It blurs my pores a bit as well.

Worth the hype? Yup 🙌
Worth the hype? Yup 🙌
I have been dying to get my hands on the oat Cleansing Balm from the Inkey List for awhile now! It’s always sold out when I have the cash ❌ buut I finally got it a few days ago. Usually I use a product for longer than a few days before reviewing, but I automatically knew I liked it and wanted to share the love 😊 ✨ (very) 1st Impressions ✨ 🖤 SO AFFORDABLE 💸💰💵🙌 This cleansing balm weighs in at 5 oz. That’s almost DOUBLE the amount of most high end and even affordable cleansing balms. The Farmacy CB, Slaii by DE, they are around 2.5-3.5 oz for at least $30. 🖤 The packaging! It’s so simple but very aesthetically pleasing. Don’t get me wrong, I am a SUCKER for cute packaging (cue my obsession with Glow Recipe), but when I get a product that looks like this - no frills - I know that I am paying for the formula and product itself and not paying crazy inflation just for the packaging. ✨What is it? ✨ 🖤 A super thic, nourishing + skin conditioning cleansing balm made with sweet almond oil + colloidal oatmeal (3% Oat Kernel oil + 1% Oat flour) INGREDIENTS (cause bitch they don’t lie) 🖤I love this CB because the ingredients are simple and few. 🖤Almond Oil is the first ingredient. Skin nourishing + gives the balm a slippery smooth feeling when melted into face 🖤This product contains several emollients + emulsifiers to help water mix with oil, giving the balm that milky sort of froth when splash your face with water to rinse, ensuring that all that oil + the gunk it took off gets completely rinsed off of your face. It has safe emulsifying ingredients like Cetearyl Alcohol, Peg-6 Caprylic glycerides, Canelilla Cera (a vegetable wax derived from the leaves of North Mexican Candelilla shrubs), Sorbitin Stearate, Tribehenin (also a thickening agent that preserves stability in presence of heat), Almond Glycerides 🖤 COLLODIAL OATMEAL🖤 This product contains 3% Oat kernel oil + 1% Oat Flour. Oats are so, so amazing for our skin. They soothe + decrease inflammation. Derms often recommend oat for sensitive, allergy or eczema prone skin because it is an excellent moisturiser with skin healing, anti-inflammatory + anti-oxidant effects. Also it has itch relieving benefits. Thanks to its lipids + protein content oats nourish our skin in a multitude of ways as they have humectant, occlusive + emollient properties. So, ✨oat derived ingredients + FRAGRANCE FREE⭐️ formula = great for sensitive skin + every skin type honestly 🖤I would definitely recommend THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm to anyone looking for an oil cleanse. It melts down beautifully and a little does go a long way. The texture before completely melting was gooey soft with the tiniest amount of grit to it, it a good way. It’s so, so fine that it’s not irritating at ALL. And once the CB melts down all the way it goes away. I think that is the oat flour doing it’s magic. I think it helps pull more gunk out of my pores tbh 😛 Worth the hype in my opinionTHE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm

“A luxurious cleansing balm that gently dissolved makeup and excess oil without stripping sensitive, irritated skin of the moisture it needs” performance | full star | ya girl is hella sensitive, and that is for sure what it do, luxurious though? Feel like I would have used a different word than that lolol not saying it’s cheap, just think maybe soothing or even simply “gentle” hahaha texture | full star | this is my favorite texture for a balm, just make sure to shake the bottle because the oils separate a lil scent | .75 star | def smells like seeet almond oil with oat, it’s nice but not my favorite. No synthetic fragrance in here packaging | .5 star | plastic tube, but I love the text on the tube especially on the back of every product they highlight which step it should be in your routine and I love that it’s a balm in a tub so I don’t have to put my grimy fingys in a jar if I don’t get enough ingredients | .3 star | there’s a decent number of alcohol based ingredients with a mild immunotoxicity risk from overexposure (mind you this could be to the worker inhaling these fumes and being around them often, not necessarily from topical application plus they’re toward the end of the ingredients list so lower percentage, not tryna scare anyone just sharing the facts) value | full star | only $10 scoreeee, and seriously don’t let the ingredients scare lol Total 4.55 out of 6 stars ✨
