“A luxurious cleansing balm that gently dissolved makeup and excess oil without stripping sensitive, irritated skin of the moisture it needs” performance | full star | ya girl is hella sensitive, and that is for sure what it do, luxurious though? Feel like I would have used a different word than that lolol not saying it’s cheap, just think maybe soothing or even simply “gentle” hahaha texture | full star | this is my favorite texture for a balm, just make sure to shake the bottle because the oils separate a lil scent | .75 star | def smells like seeet almond oil with oat, it’s nice but not my favorite. No synthetic fragrance in here packaging | .5 star | plastic tube, but I love the text on the tube especially on the back of every product they highlight which step it should be in your routine and I love that it’s a balm in a tub so I don’t have to put my grimy fingys in a jar if I don’t get enough ingredients | .3 star | there’s a decent number of alcohol based ingredients with a mild immunotoxicity risk from overexposure (mind you this could be to the worker inhaling these fumes and being around them often, not necessarily from topical application plus they’re toward the end of the ingredients list so lower percentage, not tryna scare anyone just sharing the facts) value | full star | only $10 scoreeee, and seriously don’t let the ingredients scare lol Total 4.55 out of 6 stars ✨

Your Skin Routine For: Oily, Large Pores, Acne
A highly requested example routine targeting: acne, enlarged pores, orange peel texture, and/or oily skin. These are example products, the ingredient/step focus is the idea being communicated. I made sure to name favourites that my sensitive, combo skin loves! 1. Oil/Balm Cleanser: Makeup and sunscreen can both be hard to fully get off skin, so be sure to deep-clean skin with an oil-based cleanser! The Inkey List can’t be beaten for the price and quality combo. 2. Foam/Gel/Cream Cleanser: Get off any residual first cleanser as well as whatever grime managed to survive it. Make sure to thoroughly rinse and not use hot water. Paula’s Choice has a variety of affordable cleaners but CeraVe is a skinstagram favourite. 3. Hyaluronic Acid: Skin needs hydration, but it’s easy to over-moisturizer whenever you have oily skin or congestion. Using a hyaluronic acid (or sodium hyaluronate) serum keeps skin bouncy without overwhelming oilier skin types! The Ordinary HA + B5 has a cult following but my favourite is the Paula’s Choice Hyaluronic Acid Booster. 4. Niacinamide: Niacinamide normalizes pores to regulate sebum production and has promising research for its acne-reducing properties. Paula’s Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster helped my orange peel texture on my chin so much! The Inkey List Niacinamide‘s is my second favourite since it’s simple and effective without potentially irritating zinc like the Ordinary’s. 5. Salicylic Acid: Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid is touted as a game changer for so many people I know, and me too! Salicylic acid deep-cleans pores (moreso than AHAs) and helps to decongest + exfoliate skin. A budget BHA I would recommend is The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. 6. Moisturizer: I believe pretty much all skin needs a moisturizer unless you’re the oiliest (but not dehydrated) of oily or the most normal of normal skin. A simple, nourishing moisturizer that isn’t too heavy is easy to find: CeraVe Ultralightweight lotions, Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Moisturizer or Probiotic Nutrient Moisturizer, The Ordinary’s NMF + HA, and Stratia Liquid Gold are all wonderful and affordable.

⭐️ Quick fix for DRY morning skin! ⭐️
⭐️ Quick fix for DRY morning skin! ⭐️
Dry skin, who is she? Redness, I don’t know her. Let me introduce you to THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm , a multi-functional product you can use as a cleanser or a mask! The rich, thicc balmy texture is great for all skin types and safe for sensitive skin. Let’s be honest, sometimes I go a little overboard with products and wake up feeling dry or irritated (anyone else?). When that happens, I reach for this super hydrating balm to quench my skin and bring it back to equilibrium. ❤️ WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT ❤️ ✨ Supports your protective barrier to build strong, glowing, healthy skin ✨ Works great as the first step in a double cleanse to remove makeup, dirt and other nasties ✨ Leave it on for 10-20 mins and use it as a mask for extra hydration! ⚡️ INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT ⚡️ 💎 3% Oat Kernel Oil to enrich skin’s moisture barrier 💎 1% Colloidal Oatmeal to soothe the skin, calming down any redness or irritation 💎 Ceramides to for moisture and barrier building I also have to mention one of my holy grail products that is similar in many ways to this one — the NATUROPATHICA - Oat Cleansing Facial Polish ! It’s uses oat as physical exfoliant and can also be used as a mask. I am truly never without this product! I’ve got to be honest, NATUROPATHICA - Oat Cleansing Facial Polish probably edges out The Inkey List here, but with similar ingredients and a much cheaper price tag, THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm is definitely worth checking out! Let me know if you have any questions below! 🥰

Double-cleansing is imperative if you wear makeup and/or sunscreen, which everyone should be wearing! Some folks prefer to cleanse twice with their usual cleanser, but I find it more effective to use an oil-based cleanser to melt away oil-based products. Like bonds to like! These two products make double-cleansing affordable and moisturizing, without potentially irritating essential oils or fragrance. • THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm : $9.99 USD for 150mL, or $0.07 per mL. This silky balm can get runny when warm but emulsifies easily and removes makeup and sunscreen without issue. INCI Key Notes: sweet almond oil, oat kernel oil, oat kernel flour (colloidal oatmeal), vitamin E, vitamin C, sunflower seed oil. • The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser : $7.90 USD for 50mL ($19.90 for 150mL), or $0.16 per mL ($0.13 per mL if 150mL tube). This thick balm takes a while to emulsify but leaves skin so soft and removes makeup/sunscreen well. INCI Key Notes: squalane, glycerin, esters, vitamin E. Non-comedogenic, if that’s something you look for.

SOLD OUT cleanser thoughts!
SOLD OUT cleanser thoughts!
Did you know colloidal oatmeal is such an effective skin protectant that the FDA regulates it as an active ingredient? PRODUCT: This Oat Cleansing Balm gently cleanses off makeup and excess dirt/oils without stripping your skin of the moisture it needs. It combines 1% colloidal oatmeal with ceramides to support the skins protective barrier. It’s also formulated with 3% oat kernel oil, which helps with environmental stressors. ✨Colloidal Oatmeal: rich in proteins and lipids, oatmeal has potent emollient properties which makes it a great moisturizer. It also contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help with dry, itchy skin. Oatmeal also acts as a natural exfoliator by removing dead skin cells for a brighter complexion. ✨Oat Kernel Oil: acts as humectant due to its high ceramide content. Acts as a natural cleanser for blackheads, dirts, and excess oils. MY THOUGHTS: This is one of the most gentle cleansers I’ve ever used! I’ve been using it for a little over a month and it’s been working well for me. With that being said, I don’t think this cleanser does the best job at removing makeup. I don’t wear makeup often so this cleanser works fine for me but I wouldn’t recommend it to those who wear makeup often. Even without makeup, I feel that it could do a better job at cleansing, which is why I use it to double cleanse now. I also feel like it leaves a bit of a waxy residue on my skin. I continue to use it because of how gentle it is, it really makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. I also love the beneficial ingredients in this product. Overall, I like this cleanser but don’t really think it deserves all of the hype it’s getting. SIDE NOTE: 🌱🐰 This product is vegan and cruelty-free.

Get👏🏾Into👏🏾It👏🏾 so this here is my cleansing routine and let’s just say my skin has been looking flawless hunty! I have combination skin (MOSTLY DRY) and very eczema prone. I’ve been following the 60 second rule coined by LA’s very own LABeautyologist. She is a very well respected esthetician known to give some of the best beauty/skincare tips. In my routine I wash with a cleansing balm for 30 seconds THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm and then wash with my CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser for another 30 seconds. This routine is very gentle on my skin and doesn’t leave my skin feelin THIRSTY💦 This is my morning and night ritual and I definitely would recommend for normal - dry skin types.
