How To Get Rid Of Acne Fast
How To Get Rid Of Acne Fast
Acne has been a constant issue in my life up to this day, I’ve been able to kind of control it with the use of several products and following certain routines. Although pimples still appear here and there caused by a bad diet or hormones, now that I’m older I know what works for my skin and what doesn’t. Before we decide whether to buy a product or not, we first need to figure out what type of acne we have and take a deep dive into the subject to understand it more and figure out the most effective option to fight it and control it.   Common acne: Includes comedones which are clogged hair mixed with oil and dead skin. There are different types of comedones, the easiest to treat are whiteheads (closed pore) and blackheads (open pore). This category also includes papules which are small inflamed red bumps and pustules, which tend to look like a whitehead but with a red circle around it, they are filled with pus and you should never mess with them with your hands because you can leave some scars if you pinch them. Make sure to look out for products labeled noncomedogenic, meaning they won’t clog your pores! Most over the counter products are acceptable for common acne since it’s not too severe. Nodular acne: One of the severe forms of acne, it shows as large, inflamed and firm bumps and tend to be painful. If you think you have nodular acne you should visit a dermatologist so you can be prescribed proper medication and an effective treatment. Cystic Acne: It’s considered by most the most severe type of acne so it needs to be treated by a professional. They appear as pus filled cysts with redness around them and are painful on touch. When you hear about hormonal acne it’s not a type of acne but mainly a cause of it. It’s common in teenagers due to the change in hormones, showing mostly on the T-zone area but also on adults, especially females during their periods or if they have certain conditions like: menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome or high levels or androgen. Hormonal acne causes most of the time the types found under the “Common Acne” category. I’ve tried probably dozens of products to treat pimples and acne problem across my life, ranging from different prices and different brands. While some were decent, others caused terrible breakouts and allergies. It wasn’t until I found my all my favorite, which is surprisingly the most affordable and simplest one.   Acne Fighting Spot Gel by e.l.f. This product is a small roll on gel that is really easy to apply and carry around with you. Some of its ingredients are Salicylic Acid (Found almost in all anti-acne products), Tea Tree Oil, Witch hazel Aloe Vera. I love this product because it’s like 3 products in one, it reduces the swelling and heals the skin at the same time while preventing more potential breakouts. Whenever I get a pimple, big or small, I simply apply this product after washing my face in the morning and night, and if possible, during the day too. You don’t need to apply much; it does wonders with simply rolling it over your skin once. I can always see improvements even after a couple hours and my pimples are gone super fast.   Another product that has helped me a lot by preventing pore clogging and the creation of potential pimples is Drops of Youth Liquid Peel by The Body Shop. It exfoliates and peels off dead skin cells, impurities and makeup residue. The first time I tried it I was speechless because I thought I had already washed my face with cleansers but apparently there was still microscopical bacteria that is not visible for the human eye. Since it’s a slightly more aggressive product you should use it 2-3 times a week only since it’s technically renewing your skin. It’s very easy to use and as well, you don’t need much product for it to do wonders. Simply pump some product on your hands or directly on your face, massage it for a couple seconds until you start seeing all the dead cells, once you are done simply rinse your face with water.   Hopefully these products work for you as well! And remember to seek professional help if you suffer from severe acne to avoid further complications or scarring.

Does E.l.Fs Acne Fighting Spot Gel Work???
Does E.l.Fs Acne Fighting Spot Gel Work???
I received e.l.f. - ACNE FIGHTING SPOT GEL Jan. 05, 2021 and I immediately included it in my nighttime skincare routine. I had already developed some under the skin pimples that hurt and I decided to give this product a try. It’s now Jan 08, 2021, yes its only been 3 days...but I already see a difference! No it doesn’t get rid of my acne bumps just from using it one time however it had definitely reduced the size of the pimple and the redness. Whenever I get pimples under the skin it usually can take 1-3 weeks for them to go down. I noticed on Jan. 05, that I had two pimples on my forehead and one on my chin, these were all under the skin and they were irritated and hurt. When I started to apply the spot gel I honestly didn’t expect much to happened but things did! I noticed that instead of them taking 1-3 weeks just to go down, it only took 3 days! I barely notice that the pimples are there now, they aren’t noticeable and the swelling of them reduced very quickly. So what exactly is the 𝑨𝒄𝒏𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒕 𝑮𝒆𝒕? It is a gel treatment for acne prone skin. What are the 𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔? Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Aloe. What are the 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔? Water (Aqua), Alcohol Denat., Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Bark Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin How 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 is it? On E.l.fs website the Acne Fighting Spot Gel is only $3.00!!! Yes only $3. Super cheap and honestly kind of suspicious. Because usually we have to pay a lot of money for skincare products but not for this one. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 to use it Originally I was only going to include it in my nighttime routine however when I read how often it recommends to use it, it says 1-3 times a day. Depending on how bad the pimples are and how your skin reacts to it I think it depends. Now I’ve been using it in my morning and night routine and it hasn’t caused any irritation for me. 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔: My final thoughts are that I really enjoy this product already. When I apply it, it feels soothing and it absorbs in my skin pretty quickly. I can see a difference in a short amount of time, even though they have not completely disappeared, they had reduced greatly! This product is worth it! ❤️

Is elf worth it? 👀
Is elf worth it? 👀
I’ve tried so many of their products and for the most part, yes they’re definitely worth it. It’s a really affordable brand that has come a long way. The hello hydration face cream feels really nice on my skin. It smells very fresh and the texture is a little bit less than thick but definitely not liquid. Imagine the texture of the kiehls moisturizer. It’s non greasy and locks in moisture. It’s $12 for 1.8 oz e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream Poreless putty primer is one of my favorite primers. I only need a small amount, I warm it up with my fingers and pat it on my skin instead of rubbing it and I find that makes a slight difference. It’s $8 and a dupe for the tatcha silk canvas primer thats $52. e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer Really surprised by this elf acne spot gel. It’s roll on so when you apply it you don’t touch the acne. It works really well, I’ve had this for several months. It doesn’t dry my pimples out completely cause it has a bit of aloe in it. It’s only $3! Definitely worth a try. e.l.f. - ACNE FIGHTING SPOT GEL The lip lacquers are my holy grail. There’s 10 different shades and I have about 5. My current favorite at the moment is the shade “fantasy”. It’s a sheer champagne color with sparkles. Not sticky and pretty moisturizing. e.l.f. - Lip Lacquer Instant brow pencil. This is my absolute favorite. Fills in my brows great and the color matches perfectly. I can use this with light pressure for more of a feathery natural look or with more pressure for a bold brow. e.l.f. - Instant Lift Brow Pencil The jelly pop face and eye gloss is super cute. I have the shade “creamsicle pop” it’s a pink/light orange duo chrome color. It’s so pretty as highlighter and using it on the tops of my lips. e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Face & Eye Gloss

Morning skincare routine
Morning skincare routine
Here’s my morning skincare routine for combination/dry skin. With my combination skin, I like to cater to both the dry and oily portions of my skin. My night routine features a richer moisturizer and gentler cleanser while my morning has a lighter moisturizer and strong cleanser. I start with the Bioré deep pore cleansing charcoal cleanser. This cleanser is great for blackheads and evening texture. It’s super refreshing and feels great on the face. I’ve been using it for months and it really wakes me up! Then I move on to the Azure eye serum and Elf spit treatment. You may recognize these from my night routine. The eye serum has made a noticeable change on the swelling and darkness of my under eye. I’m not a big fan of eye creams (personally feel they’re a scam more often than not), but this serum was super affordable and will last me a very long time. I line my under eye with it then gently rub it around my eye. The elf spot treatment definitely helps with active whiteheads, but isn’t strong enough to penetrate black heads or deep acne. I still really like and have ordered two refills since my first purchase. I would definitely recommend buying in bulk as if you use these twice a day and have a lot of active acne/acne prone skin, they’ll last you about 2-3 months. I finish with my Aveeno SPF 15 calming moisturizer. It does a great job of smoothing my skin and calming any redness, which is great if I’m wearing makeup that day. It doesn’t leave any greasy touch in the same way a traditional sunscreen does. Mine is in an old eye cream container as I repotted it about a month ago. My whole morning routine usually takes about 5 minutes. I usually let the cleanser sit for a minute before rinsing off, and let the spot treatment and serum sit and soak for a minute before applying moisturizer. Nighttime skincare
Nighttime skincare
Here’s my nightly skincare. I start off by double cleansing. I have acne prone skin so double cleansing REALLY helps clean my pores and get rid of any build up during the day. I use the aveeno foaming cleanser which is soothing for my dryer cheeks and redness. Then I use the oil free neutrogena acne wash for my acne. It’s very refreshing and not irritating, my skin has definitely steadied after using it and I break out significantly less. I’ll use this neutrogena gentle exfoliater 1-2x a week then a stronger one I’ll show in another post once a week. It’s the perfect exfoliating scrub for sensitive skin and cleans pores without irritating them. Next I use the Azure anti-aging eye serum. I have a tough time with under eye bags and have noticed an improvement since using this. My eyes are less swollen and softer overall. Then I’ll use the elf spot treatment on any big, red spots. It certainly helps with whiteheads but isn’t strong enough to do much at all for blackheads, which I’m constantly fighting. Once everything has soaked into my face, I finish with a rich Olay firming night cream. This moisturizer is SO luxurious and creamy. You don’t need a lot. It has a nice subtle scent and leaves my face very relaxed and happy.
