Is Glowrecipe Hormonal Acne skin approved?
I was always a fan of Glowrecipe’s packaging and I had seen the episode when they appeared on Shark tank few years back. I was intrigued and wanted to try the brand but when it initially launched, the products were a little too pricey for me. I was willing to buy GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask the very first time and I know why I was gravitated towards this particular product. I was new to AHA/chemical exfoliants and this products sounded perfect to take a leap with it. This was very gentle on my sensitive Acne prone skin and didn’t irritate me too much. So I was happy with this one and I wanted to try more, guess we are never happy with no matter how much skincare right?😅 I went ahead and tried their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist and GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer Amazing!!! I felt in love... The mist is super fine almost like water diffuser but of course with Hyaluronic acid and Watermelon extract in it. It gives an instant cooling effect so my sensitive, inflamed (with acne) skin used to love the feel of it. It is oil-water infused mist meaning it has oil on top of water hence you have to shake well before misting👍. I never disliked or put it off my favorites list ❤️ The Pink juice moisturizer is the perfect moisturu for my Oily and combination skin type. It takes care of moisturizing my Oily part as well as locks the moisture on the dryer one. Perfect watery-gel that smells fresh like watermelon slushee and feels cooling on face 👍 The last one to try out for me wasGLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask And I’d be honest I didn’t like the formula. It’s thick, occlusive and rich cream one that’s but too heavy for my skin. This was the finish and texture, but I anyway give the product few chances to see if it’s really giving me any good results. It didn’t give the results I typically see with Retinols and Retinoids on my skin. Hence wasn’t my favorite in this line. ✨So far, I like the brand. The products are subtle, near to basic yet gently effective and perfect for people with sensitive skin types. ✨Although, heads up for the watermelon fragrance, if you’re sensitive to perfume in skincare, take a patch test. ✨It definitely was and is worth all the hype. The only downside is the price. It’s on high end side and I had a hard time purchasing these together 😅 What do you think of them?? Also dropping an illustration I’ve done for this image🤩❤️

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist . This is a bi-phase mist with 84% watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid & hibiscus AHAs. It has the same watermelon jolly rancher scent as the rest of the line. I like the scent & don’t find it overwhelming. I know some do so I think it’s either one of those you love it or don’t scenarios . It’s got watermelon fruit extract, hyaluronic acid, soy amino acids, gotu kola, hibiscus, apple cider vinegar, peony & licorice extracts. The bi-phase comes from the oils: watermelon, rice germ, moringa, pumpkin & soybean sterols. You have to shake it every time prior to misting. This has such a superfine mist. It may look like a tube of lube but I’ve quite liked it as a pick me up mist during the day

Glow recipe product reviews
✅Watermelon sleeping mask: a hydrating, mild exfoliation night mask. The texture is gel like and changes to water like on application. Contains hyaluronic acid, glycolic & lactic acid, watermelon extract, pomegranate, banana, pumpkin extract which are all good antioxidants. Contains fragrance. It makes my skin super soft in the morning. ✅Watermelon glow mist: a ultra fine mist that hydrates & refreshes the look of makeup. Contains watermelon extract, HA, mild AhA. It definitely is one of my favorite mist for how fine it is, how well it hydrates & the smell is divine. I use it as a last step in my night skincare routine to seal in the hydration. ✅Pink juice Watermelon moisturizer: the Top product of the my whole GR products. The texture is little similar to the sleeping mask but more light weight, but the hydration is extra ordinary(especially along with the mist). Contains watermelon extract, HA, licorice root extract, various antioxidants. It truly is one of the best moisturizer i ever used. Brightens well, hydrates and the packaging is beautiful. Works great for various skin types. I am surely repurchasing this in future, i really miss it. ✅Banana souffle moisture cream: A thicker moisturizer than the previous one. Contains the goodness of banana, potassium, magnesium, cica, turmeric, chia seed extract. Lot of calming ingredients. Contains fragrance, smells like banana. Works good for combo, dry and normal skin, not for oily skin. Not a must have product. ✅The watermelon mist & pink juice moisturizer are my top picks.

Is Glow Recipe...the Right Recipe?
Now this brand can be considered luxury with relatively high price points. Much like other luxury brands, a lot of the formulations have high amounts of fragrance which can be very irritating. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner -Great source of proven hydrators and leaves a healthy glow -Antioxidant rich formula that is alcohol free. -Helps smooth texture. -Fragranced and the ph is outside of the ideal PHA and BHA needed to effectively exfoliate. GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser -Contains a good amount of antioxidants. -Effectively removes dirt and oil then rinses cleanly without leaving the feeling of tight skin. -Stings eyes when used to remove eye makeup. -Contains fragrance which is potentially irritating and product cannot fight acne as claimed. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask -Lotion-gel texture that absorbs quickly and includes skin soothing ingredients. -Includes sodium hyaluronate and antioxidant rich plants. -Fragranced and packaged in a jar which can compromise the ingredients. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask -Spreads easily and absorbs quickly which leaves skin hydrated. -Includes four forms of avocado which contains fatty acids and antioxidants. -Contains fragrance and is packaged in a jar which can put the ingredients at risk. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer -Lightweight, gel-like texture which is perfect for combination to oily skin. -Contains fragrance. -It also contains two kinds of antioxidant rich watermelon extracts. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask -Mask has very moisturizing and soothing ingredients. -It’s easy to use and isn’t overly saturated -Contains fragrance which can be irritating GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist -Fog-like mist settles lightly while refreshing both skin and makeup. -Includes hyaluronic acid and soothing extracts. -Contains fragrance. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Lip Pop -Adds a sheer pink color that can be built up for more pop. -The balm doesn’t offer long lasting hydration compared to the best formulas of today. -Contains potentially irritating fragrance which can worsen dry lips. -Doesn’t exfoliate as well as claimed GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm -Lightweight cream that contains extracts rich with antioxidants. -Effectively removes makeup, dirt, oil, and spf. -Fragranced which can be irritating. Conclusion: This brand has too many products that have fragrance which can be very irritating to the skin. There are products with other issues such as packaging that can put the ingredients at risk and cause hygiene issues. Although I wouldn’t recommend this brand, the oil free moisturizer is actually pretty good.

my favorite mist- are mists necessary?
glow recipe mist: this glow recipe mist is a must have for my routine. It’s the last step in my routine and is so refreshing and the watermelon scent from natural watermelon. This must is so hydrating and I cannot say more than good things about it. This product contains hyluronic acid which helps make sure no extra moustire leaves our skin in a process called epidermal water loss. It also contains soy amino acids which can help moisturize dealer layers of skin. This also has centella Asiatica extract which is good for anti inflammatory. I love to throw this mist in the fridge for an hour and it feels so nice and cooling and refreshing. Mists in general: Now I am going to talk about my thoughts on face mists in general. Face mists are in no way necessary to any routine they are just fun and add in a little extra hydrating to your routine. I personally love face mists and for that reason the GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist is a staple in my routine but, if you aren’t using a face mist I wouldn’t run out to buy one.

Good, Better, Best face mists!
Here I’ll be ranking some face mists that I’ve tried in order of least favorite to absolute favorite! I’ll preface this by saying that I really do like all of them, but of course there’s always a favorite. First, pixi - Makeup Fixing Mist ($15) this is a rose and green tea infused mist. Lightly list over face after applying makeup to give skin a glow and lock in makeup! - I love the scent of this, it’s very sweet and rosy smelling - it does seem to hold makeup in place pretty well - the mist is NOT fine at all. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been shot in the face like a water gun when I didn’t hold the spray in a perfect position Those are my main points with this mist. It’s a great affordable option but make sure you spray from as far away as your arm can reach lilah b. - Aglow Face Mist ($48 for full size) This one is a bit pricy to me, I enjoy the sample I have but I would never spend that much on a mist Infused with botanicals this very fine mist sets makeup and creates a glowy look - the mist is very fine! - it does set makeup, skin looks bright and fresh after using. Especially as a mid day pick me up. Also mini size is great to have in your purse. - overall a good mist but like I said I can’t justify the price GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist ($28) and last, my new favorite mist! This mist delivers a fine spray of watermelon, hyaluronic acid and hibiscus AHAs to envelop your skin like a dewy morning - the mist fine mist out of the 3. It mists so nice and evenly. - wonderful juicy watermelon smell! - creates a dewy glow, helps to set makeup (although that’s not its main purpose) and delivers a much needed pick me up to skin mid day though. - this mist isn’t a makeup setting mist so if that’s something that’s important to you one of the other ones may be more suited to you. I hope you enjoyed this mini breakdown of my 3 favorite mists! I tried for way too long to capture a picture of the mist coming out but was left with too many blank photos and was wasting too much product 😂 you’ll have to take my word for it on how fine each mist is, or not fine (looking at you Pixi mist)
