2020s Biggest Trend: Dermatologist Approved
The biggest trend in 2020 is PERSONLIZRD SERUMS. I tried #Atolla and here are my genuine thoughts (SURPRISE AT THE END OF CAPTION!) Do you ever feel like there are too many skincare products out there and have no idea what you need? Trust me, it’s happened to me too! I have been using #ATOLLA which is a company that formulates serums with a mixture of ingredients to target with your skin needs. Here are some of the benefits: 1) The serum is personalized for your skin. 2) you are able to monitor your skin changes each month with a skin test 3) Your formulation is altered monthly to target your problem areas. 4) It formulates several key ingredients into one serum, rather than buying separate creams. 5) it takes into account the products you are currently using. My initial skin concerns when completing my skin quiz with Atolla was battling dry skin as well as skin hyperpigmentation. They sent me a product with vitamin C complex as well as Alpha Arbutin. Vitamin C acts as my antioxidant against sun damage, evens out my hyperpigmentation, increases collagen, and increases hydration. Combining this with alpha arbutin, which targets the enzyme that produces pigment, only further reduced my hyperpigmentation. Like everything, results did not come overnight, but with consistent use, I was able to really even out my skin pigment and hydrate my skin. 🎉🎉🎉CHERIE SURPRISE 🎉🎉🎉 I've asked Atolla to give my CHERIE APP followers an exclusive code “DRCHRIS” for 25% off! Excited to see what you guys think!! 🙌🙌 Atolla - Custom Serum INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN:⤵️ The vitamin C helps with collagen growth, hyperpigmentation, as well as sun damage. The Alpha arbutin targets primarily hyperpigmentation creating an even skin tone. Depending on your product, you can use it in the morning or night.
Custom Serum: Atolla
Hello! Has anyone tried Atolla - Custom Serum? I am at the end of my first bottle and here is what I can say: 🥱 I wanted to try Atolla because I am a beauty product junkie and was curious! 🍓 I am a 30-year-old woman and my main skin concerns are cystic acne, hormonal acne (Yes, there is a slight difference!) and wrinkles (the joy of turning 30 ;) 👩🏫 The Atolla concept is pretty cool: Atolla sends you a testing kit which you do at home. The kit is really easy to use. After that, you enter all of the skin products you use so that Atolla makes sure the serum fits in your daily routine. Lastly, Atolla sends the serum! But wait! It is not over. After using Atolla for 2 weeks, you will receive another kit to test how your skin has reacted to the new serum and see if the serum formula could be improved! So you basically get a new serum adapted to your skin every month. 🦄 Preliminary review: I have almost finished my first bottle and I have noticed that my skin does look better. I took the second test and the new serum that I am supposed to receive will be a bit stronger. Additionally, I can honestly say that I barely got acne this month, but this might be due to other things that I am currently doing. I would love to hear your thoughts! Cheers, The Working B.
Every ingredient customized to your skin!
An easy five stars on this one, for sure. It’s going to be different for everybody, literally. With Atolla, you fill out a survey about your facial skin concerns: what your skin type is now, what your concerns are, and what your goals are for your skin. Atolla customizes a non-comedogenic oil to meet your needs. Mine was a oil at least; yours may be more of a serum or toner texture depending on your individual formula. Here is a link to the general ingredient list they use, which again will vary in concentration and selection based off the custom skin survey you fill out: https://atolla.com/blog/ingredient-dictionary At the end of each month, you use their skin pH testing strips and send it back in (all pre paid by Atolla😁) and the ingredients of your next month’s supply may be tweaked a bit depending on if it’s deemed too harsh or not strong enough for your skin based off the testing strips. It’s priced at $45/month. IMO, well worth it for the quality of product. This isn’t some cheap ingredients/mass produced beauty item: it’s created by female MIT graduates who are true skincare experts. It’s ethically sourced, does not test on animals, and packaged together in all recyclable products. (Get your first month for $10ish with promo code SKINRESET ...I have no conflict of interest or affiliation w/this company, just a random code I found on couponchief that’s still live!)
My favorite serum
#Top2020Skincare (c/o @devsday and @goalstogetglowing): The Atolla - Custom Serum is my pick for my favorite vitamin C serum. This is my favorite one out of the 5 vitamin C serums I've tested this year. The Atolla serums are personalized, which means that you get the perfect serum that's best for your unique skin needs. I got my second serum modified to focus on skin healing with ingredients like Ascorbic Acid Complex (1.0%) and Alpha-Arbutin (2.0%). This serum revolutionized my skin this year after I got significant sun damage after a day out on the water (I definitely learned my lesson to reapply sunscreen after that). My skin texture feels baby smooth with this serum. I'm not exaggerating This one bottle lasted me 3 months of PM use (I wanted to test out other active serums during the AM) I ran out of this serum last month and my skin is not as radiant as before, and my acne scars are taking longer to fade away. I've tested many many vitamin C serums over the years because I have like chronic acne scars. Unfortunately not many vitamin C serums were good and I've had to throw out bottles that have oxidized after just a few uses. The Atolla serum never oxidizes. My boyfriend also swears by his Atolla serum. So you know if he approves... it's really that good! If you wanna try it out yourself, you can get a month for free using the link in my bio. The frugal Asian in me hates throwing things away that aren't fully used up, but I learned that oxidized vitamin C can actually be harmful to your skin. What are your experiences with oxidized skincare? Do you chuck it in the trash too?
I tried a totally personalized serum! 👀
I was gifted a serum from Atolla, that was customized for my skin concerns, and tailor made to fit my current routine. How it works: First I started by taking extensive quiz to get my skin’s history, tolerance, and concerns organized. I listed my main problem as clogged pores and scarring, and said that my skin was relatively tough (aka could handle a larger acid percentage) After filling out my form, and looking over my treatment timeline, Atolla sent me my custom serum made of: 1% Ascorbic acid ( Vit C) and 2% Alpha-Arbutin. The other supporting actives included Rice Extract Vitamin B5, AND Ferulic Acid. Seemed like a powerhouse combo to me! I applied my serum once a day in the morning (before SPF!!) and have used it everyday for about a month now. After my trial I would give this product a 3.5/5 stars. Atolla - Custom Serum The pros included being a “one-stop-shop” for a serum, because it was packed with so many actives. I also enjoyed the skin health kit they included in the package which allows you to test : moisture index, oil index, pH level, and sun sensitivity. You can go over your results with an esthetician, and honestly that’s a super helpful feature with those trying to learn more about skin health. The cons: Although I feel like it did help reduce texture on my cheeks, I didn’t see a significant reduction in my hyperpigmentation, which was my primary focus. Overall I think it helped to brighten and give a glow during daytime use, but not a lasting help for deeper scarring. You could try it out if you are looking to simplify your skin routine to just one serum! One thing to note is that as you continue the treatment, sending back the skin health kits, giving feedback etc. they refine your serum to be even more accurate/effective.
Atolla Personalized Serum
Here’s one quiz I didn’t mind taking! Take a quiz and you can have a personalized serum made just for you! Atolla designs a serum that addresses your primary skin concerns, whether that’s breakouts, congested pores, discoloration, dryness, redness, sun damage, and/or wrinkles. They don't add artificial fragrance, phthalates, paraben, or sulfates. Their ingredients are also gluten-free and vegan. All you do is take their quiz, tell them your skin concerns and they mix up a serum made just for your specific skin problems. They look at your physical skin data, lifestyle, environment, and even current skincare routine to create a custom serum. You can also go to your dashboard on the website and add your current skin care products and your oral prescriptions to make sure the ingredients don't interact with the serum. Also included is a Skin Health Kit that you can do in the comfort of your home, use the kit 2 weeks after trying the serum, there is nothing to send back and you can submit the results on line to see if any adjustments need to be made to your serum. It checks the oil level of your skin and the Ph. If you don't like your serum you can get a free consultation with an in house esthetician to help you decide what's right for your skin. The initial serum I received included Vitamin C, which for some reason my skin does not like so I was able to make an appointment to talk to the esthetician and switch up my serum, at no extra cost. They sent me the new serum within days. My serum contains Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B5, Tamarind Seed, Irish Moss Extract and Green Tea Leaf Extract. You can also upload a picture of your face so you can see the before and after results. If you want to check them out you can get a FREE month supply by using this link. They have free shipping and 100% money back guarantee. http://fbuy.me/p7BWd @atollaskinlab @atolla_community #beauty #cleanbeauty #vegan #crueltyfree #skincare #skincareroutine #skincareproducts #personalizedskincare #atolla #atollaglow #atollaskinlab #personalizedserum #gifted
