Missha All Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk
Missha All Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk
🌾 Missha All Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk 🌾What is it? A lightweight, milky consistency SPF 50/ PA +++ chemical sunscreen with skin soothing ingredients. 🌾Call Outs: Free of: Parabens and Sulfates 🌾Who’s it for? Anyone who wants a lightweight, non oily sunscreen. This sunscreen has a lot of great ingredients for sensitive and/or irritated skin however alcohol is the second ingredient so if that’s something that you are sensitive to this product might not be for you. 🌾 What’s in it? In addition to the UV blocking ingredients (ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, ethylehexyl salicylate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, and bis-ethylhexylphenol methoxyphenyl triazine....oh my god that was awful) this product contains many skin soothing and moisturizing ingredients such as helichrysum arenium flower extract (first ingredient 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻) which is antimicrobial, healing, and soothing as well as skin soothing aloe leaf juice and antioxidant rich green tea extract. This product does contain alcohol pretty high up on the inci list which I don’t love but I haven’t noticed any irritation or dryness I’m fact my skin feels softer after applying. This product also contains fragrance but it is the last ingredient on the inci list and again I haven’t noticed any irritation. 🌾My thoughts? I really enjoy this sunscreen. It’s lightweight and leaves my skin feeling soft after I apply it. It has a very light, clean, classy grandmother scent to it that I really enjoy. I do find this to pill a little on me but that’s unfortunately an issue I have with most sunscreens. The texture of this reminds me a lot of The Beet Shield but a little more liquidy. All in all I really enjoy this sunscreen especially for the price ($15!!)

Sunblocks are not all the same
Sunblocks are not all the same
✨This is one of my holy grails. Growing up, I remember the smell of the greasy, sunblock that parents use to make their kids wear to the beach. That being the main association when I hear ‘sunblock’. As I got older, the market for sun protection grew and exposure to the varieties emerged. I didn’t paid attention to protecting my skin elsewhere from the beach.... until I moved to Las Vegas, with scorching desert heat and blazing summers. I went to many trials to protect my skin. • ✨ After trial and error, I found that sunblocks back then we’re only made for beach and outside sports. They almost always left a white residue, they felt really greasy, they didn’t work with with makeup and they had a strong chemical smell. Bonus, if it didn’t burn if sweat dropped into your eyes. I looked to Korean and Asian products for the cure I was looking for. • ✨I can across this a long time, and it’s still one of my favorite. The Missha sun milk Spf 50. It is watery, light, not creamy and not sticky. It goes on clear hypo-allergic and alcohol free. Not to mention having essence in it! 🙌 I like to use this sometimes as a primer. It still continues to be one of my holy grails. • Take care and be kind, to others and yourself 🤗

December/January Empties!
December/January Empties!
I’ll start this off with my favourites: MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk I’m so sad that I’ve run out of this. If you don’t like the feel of sunscreens that feel thick and heavy, pick this up! you won’t regret it! I also ran out of the Volition sunscreen that I paired along side this one, but recycled it before I took a picture. Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask (📍) Again, was so sad to run out of this, check out my post featuring this and the new hair mask I picked up for more info! THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum If I could give this 100 stars out of 10, I would. This is my favourite serum of all time and I always have two back ups in my collection! Now for my meh products: SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum I liked the way that this felt don’t get me wrong, but I think because of the shimmer effect it has, it may have been breaking me out a bit. This didn’t have enough in it to last me long enough to see any effects. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream this is unbelievable. Although I will never buy this at the $104 price point, it’s a beautiful, thick, heavy cream. Wonderful for winter skin. fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm, Watermelon I actually have the lime+mint scent, but this is also amazing. I’ve just began started applying all my lip balms on damp lips, and I’ve found it’s made the biggest difference. No more dry lips! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion (📍) If you’ve seen my marula oil post, you’ve seen that I don’t support Drunk Elephant anymore, this is one of my last products I have from them (that they sent me) and it was too light to be a body cream. I have really dry legs and this didn’t do the trick. I ended up keeping this on my desk as a hand lotion and it worked well! Now for my no good product: Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara (📍) I don’t understand that hype around this mascara. On me, it doesn’t make my lashes look longer or fuller, it flakes super easy and it doesn’t hold my curl. Happy to have finished this so I can move on. 📍= product was sent to me for free

All of these products were LIFE CHANGING for my skin! You definitely do not need all of these products, but on your next K-beauty haul consider trying some of these out. NOTE: Everyone’s skin is different, and these are products and ingredients that worked well for me. These products have beneficial ingredients that I think are worth sharing with everyone. Let’s get into the ingredients of each product :D STEP 1 I wash my face with just water in the mornings. There is no need to wash your face in the mornings with a cleanser unless you wake up with oily skin. (however this can be an indication that you aren’t moisturizing enough) STEP 2 íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serum This product really did the most change in my skin! It has a blend of beneficial ingredients all for around $15 ONLY! (scroll to the bottom if you wanna save money if you buy this) contains Tea Tree Lead Water- Tea Tree has antibacterial properties which are great for fighting acne causing bacteria it also contains Centella Asiatica Leaf Water 🌿 - this is great for soothing and calming skin - it helped me reduce redness redness from acne STEP 3 íUNIK - Black Snail Restore Serum This provides hydration and is great for all skin types. (check my other post to see my deep review) STEP 4 íUNIK - Centella Calming Gel Cream This is a great, lightweight yet hydrating, gel moisturizer great for normal to oily skin! It has the same beneficial ingredients as the serum, such as Centella Asiatica and Tea Tree. It helped me reduce redness and irritation. This however does have fragrance so stay away if your skin cannot tolerate it or you prefer to avoid it. STEP 5 MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ (uses organic filters) This is a super lightweight, almost liquidy like sunscreen that gives a glowy finish. Where can I buy these? All of these products are available at Stylevana.com or yesstyle.com. If you want to save some money on your purchase at Stylevana feel free to use code INF10SCGEEK 10-15% off :)

Korean sunscreens....sun milk or sun gel? 🤔
Korean sunscreens....sun milk or sun gel? 🤔
I have combo skin that is very acne prone! Sunscreen is one of the most important steps in your skincare routine! Reapplying is also important, which can be hard sometimes (especially over makeup)! I live in Korea currently so I have full access to some of the best skincare products you can find (for cheap too). I had heard of both of these sunscreens before purchasing so I wanted to try them myself to form an opinion. Both are great options but one is definitely better..... The MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk is good don’t get me wrong. The consistency is quite literally like milk, supper runny. The downfall for this one is that it initially leaves a pretty harsh white cast, but it blends in eventually. The price is decent (I got it on sale) it’s around $24 I believe, but you can find it cheaper on YesStyle! It also had almost a powdery scent to it, which is not bad but some people don’t like fragrance so I figured I would mention that. I haven’t tried reapplying this over makeup yet but I feel like if used with a beauty blender it would work well! The LAGOM - Cellus Sun Gel SPF50+ is probably my favorite sunscreen I’ve ever used. It checks off all the boxes for me, I love it! It has a gel-cream consistency and it is super super easy to blend. It has a pleasant smell (again some people hate fragrance but I don’t mind). It doesn’t leave a white cast at all and while it doesn’t dry down matte, it leaves a beautiful glow that isn’t oily!!!! (When I think of a dewy spf I think Krave Beauty’s beet shield—which leaves me oily, this Lagom one is not like that!) It is priced at around $25 but I really think it’s worth it! I have tried to reapply over makeup and it works for me. I just pat it in gently with my fingertips/palms. #cheriepartner

We’ve all been there, looking for the perfect sunscreen. The kind that isn’t heavy or greasy and doesn’t have that powdery white tint that makes you end up looking like you’re going for the Goth Lite look. I think I may have just found the sunscreen that does it all! MISSHA - Missha All-around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk Essence Sun Milk by Missha is a Korean sunscreen that goes on like a fluid and dries light and airy. It feels almost like a very light moisturizer on application, and then dries to the touch. Previously, I used to use Dr Dennis Gross - Dark Spot Sun Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 but I found that Sephora has stopped carrying it. ☹️ Because I know that Korean skincare is years ahead of us here in the West, I decided to go for a Korean brand. After going through many reviews online that claimed Missha Essence to be superior, I ended up giving it a try and I’m glad I did. Bonus: this one is cheaper than the one I used to use before 😊
