2020 empties and new goodies!!
2020 empties and new goodies!!
here are all of my 2020 empties!!! i went ahead and categorized them by brand so that i dont get things mixed up. etude house ——————— ETUDE - SoonJung pH6.5 Whip Cleanser my favorite fungal acne safe cleanser!! its perfect for dry combo skin! ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner a great fungal acne safe hydrating toner! better for dry skin, it would sometimes leave me oily at the end of the day. drunk elephant ————————— DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum although this serum isn’t fungal acne safe, my skin seems to enjoy it. it has a gel texture and actually regulates my oily forehead DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream another non fungal acne safe products. BUT doesn’t cause me to have breakouts!! its a thicc cream but doesn’t leave me feeling oily!! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Deluxe Sample again... not fungal acne safe but STILL didn’t cause me to have any breakouts!! the protini feels similar in terms of thickness and the over all feeling on the skin but it feels more “ wearable “ first aid beauty ————————— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i was super excited to tey this out because the ingredients are fungal acne safe and the claims were ideal for my skin type but sadly i was disappointed 😞 it didn’t control my oil but rather left mw with this shine on my forehead! and it didn’t moisture my dry cheeks. epic fail FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream this is a very basic fungal acne safe moisturizer i recommend to literally every one. i do like it and all but i find my skin still breaking out while i use this product. i would give it a 3 1/2 stars but i cant. CUROLOGY!!!! ———————— Curology - Curology formula Curology - Curology formula if you have fungal acne THIS is the treatment you NEED to try!!! my holy grail!! naturium ————— NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream technically this moisturizer isn’t fungal acne safe because it contains polysorbate HOWEVER its one of the last ingredients listed so its not likely to have any affect. this is my FAVORITE MOISTURIZER!!! super affordable and feels luxurious and its amazing on my combo skin NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% my favorite fungal acne safe niacinamide serum!!! its affordable and it does exactly what it claims to do. literally cant get any better than this other lonely products ————————————- boscia - Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer this is a fungal acne safe moisturizer however its not very good at moisturizing or controlling oil 😕 but the packaging is cute i guess

Not “The Solution” : Glossier Skincare Flops
Not “The Solution” : Glossier Skincare Flops
Buying a pricy chemical exfoliator from a higher end and popular brand, I didn’t think I would have to work so hard to make this product work for my skin. 💎💎 Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector ⭐️ First, I have sensitive oily skin prone to redness, and I really hoped that the niacinamide, glycerin, and aloe would help ease the potency of the ingredients on my skin. But this instantly tingled/burned and gave me a flush of redness. 💥 ⭐️ Second, I have used chemical exfoliators in cleansers and toners for years, so I have built the necessary tolerance to use chemical exfoliators; especially one marketed for sensitive skin, and daily. (FYI - Chemical exfoliators should be used 1x-3x a week, or you can damage your skin barrier and do permanent damage 👀) ⭐️ Unfortunately, after nearly two months, I found myself working very hard to use this product and I still experience some tingling/slight burning. I wasn’t about to waste $25+ so I had to cover for what this exolfiant could not 💸 - I combine it with the most calming and hydrating products to soothe my redness and nourish my skin to make my skin capable of absorbing “The Solution” without a reaction: Layering my toner between steps (ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner ) Hylauronic acid serum (Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum ) Moisturizer (e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream ) - I also make sure to not swipe with a cotton pad, but pat the product into my skin (game changer!) ⭐️ Overall, “The Solution” does what an average chemical exfoliator does and it’s really not the magic ✨solution it claims to be. It has taken two months to see real effective results that make a difference in my acne. And even using this product I was breaking out like normal, as if I was not using anything at all some weeks. I even got whiteheads, which is strange since I had been exfoliating like normal. I had to go in with more to see the exfoliating effects, making me think this is fairly ineffective at its one job - exfoliating. Which is strange because 5% is the recommended concentration for daily use, and this is at 10%? Which makes me think Glossier is encouraging over use to compensate for ineffectiveness and make you use this product faster. Seems sketch 💅🏼 - The more often I use this product with this careful routine, the better my results with little redness and tingling. - I use “The Solution” 1x-3x a week depending on how my skin is feeling - Since I got some good results, the packaging was wonderful and innovative, and it was very easy to incorporate into a skin care regimen, I did find this to be a semi good product. I would buy it again if it was cheaper or better formulated. - if you like Glossier, need a basic exfoliator, already have a good sense of what your skin needs, and have pretty tough skin, then go ahead. Don’t expect too much magic ✨

Reliable toner!
Reliable toner!
first off i’d like to note that i have: • combo skin; very oily t-zone, normal lower cheeks/jawline • sensitive skin; my skin will show redness, be tingly, or itchy if it doesn’t like something • dehydrated skin depending on the environment/weather i’m in • acne-prone; hormonal acne on the chin • largest pores on earth; excess sebum & blackheads on the nose ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner having oily but sensitive and sometimes dehydrated skin is a pain when it comes to finding a product that doesn’t clog the pores yet doesn’t suck ALL the oil out of my skin. but after reading reviews, i decided to buy the Etude House - Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner. i can safely say that i’ll be using this until the day i possibly find a better one. this toner is hydrating but not too moisturizing. the texture is basically like water and once i apply it onto my skin, my skin literally drinks it and then i can just apply a moisturizer and continue on with my day. it has ingredients that actually calm the skin so my sensitive skin loves that. also, it doesn’t irritate my acne nor does it create new ones. i’m currently on my 3rd bottle and i definitely am gonna purchase more :)

These products improved my acne in 3 weeks
These products improved my acne in 3 weeks
Since March 2020 I started breaking out really bad. It got even worse in September and I think it was due to over exfoliation and irritated skin. I started using these products below 3 weeks ago and as you can see from the pictures my acne has noticeably improved. Most of the acne has subsided. The acne on my temples are almost non existent and just some redness remains. Also the redness on my cheeks are fading and are smaller in size. Current routine: Toner: ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Treatment: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion Creams: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) and ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Retinol: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Really happy with these products right now! I will continue using these products and might add Vitamin C as well. I will post another update in another 3 weeks, stay tuned 🙈

Rosacea/enlarged pores/blemishes
Rosacea/enlarged pores/blemishes
Hi beautiful ladies, This is my skin. I am sorry for the partial pictures, I am too embarrassed to post my full face. I was diagnosed with rosacea (some redness but mostly red papules which never go away), have enlarged clogged pores especially on my nose and forehead, combo skin, blemishes, sun spots, uneven texture and so on... This is currently my routine that helped a lot with reducing the amount of red blemishes and made my skin smooth (like butter according to this app :) although my rosacea is mostly gone, I feel very self conscious about its appearance. I included some pictures of how my skin used to look with a rosacea flare up. Here is what I use now: 1. Cleanser with sulfur (prescribed by dermatologist) 2. ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner very hydrating, smoothing the skin. 3. I just added Elizavecca - Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid Serum feels smooth, does not irritate my skin however it is too early to say if it’s doing anything to my pores. Before this I used serum with niacinamid. 4. dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Cream my skin loves this cream even though it might be a little heavy for the summer. At night I sometimes add azelaic acid (prescribed) or soolantra (prescribed) but more for a spot treatment as I have been using it for the whole year now and I think it helped a lot with smoothing the skin. Sometimes I use MIZON - All-in-One Snail Repair Cream which I like just because it does not irritate my skin and feels like it reduces shining in my t- zone area Or I use SKE DERM - Snail Jelly Mask which is amazing! I wake up after this mask with soft and plump skin. Once a week I use Cetaphil - Pro DermaControl Purifying Clay Mask but I don’t think it exfoliates my skin enough however it is gentle and my skin does feel good after this mask. However, my skin issues are still obvious and I would like to get any advices on how to deal with it. Thank you in advance!
