Usage TipsSIMA is simple to use. It is vital that skin is first prepped with a de-greasing cleansing product to completely remove all surface oils from skin to ensure optimum results. We recommend that you use your favorite cleanser. It is best to perform your dermaplaning treatment in the evening before bed or at a time where you will not be applying makeup directly afterward. Beginning at the top of the cheekbone near the hairline, hold your skin taut behind the blade and holding the blade at a 45 degrees angle, gently glide the tool towards the nose using short strokes. Continue until you have resurfaced the entire cheek and jaw. Repeat light strokes on the chin, above the lips, and on the forehead. Do not use on eyelids, eyebrows, hairlines, sides of nose, or lips. Do not go over any facial area more than twice. Use up to once a week.
NO MORE PEACH FUZZ OR MUSTACHE! Facial shaving.
I didn’t always shave my face, but now it’s part of a routine for me. I started shaving my face or well, my peach fuzz when I noticed my makeup looking patchy and wanting brighter looking skin. I don’t feel like I absolutely have to get rid of my facial hair, but I’ve found an added benefit to using a specific way to shave. I like to use a dermaplaning tool. It gets rid of my peach fuzz, dead skin/exfoliates! SPA SCIENCES - SIMA This little tool gets the job done! My skin looks brighter and smoother after each use. I use this once a month or when my mustache has grown back. Super easy to use and works great! + professional grade at-home dermaplaning device + remove peach fuzz, build-up, debris and dulling dead skin. + single button for on and off and speed changes. + 3 power speed settings. + easy to use! Hold at 45 degree angle and gentle glide. + no pain at all. + comes with 7 blades. Always use a clean blade for each use. + use 1x a week. I do 1-2x a month and exfoliate with other products. I mainly use this for peach fuzz. + 3 colors; pink, mint, and white. + rechargeable with usb. $29 includes charger and 7 fresh blades. So why this instead of the cheap razor blades? Better quality and it has sonic beats and speed to add in for exfoliation. Plus it’s sold at target for $30 and blades can be bought for replacement. Better for the environment too ;)
First Impression: Spa Sciences SIMA 🪒
So today, I decided to give the Spa Sciences SIMA At Home Dermaplaning Tool a try! I made this purchase mostly for the interest of getting peach fuzz off my face. My peach fuzz has never really bothered me, but given the results I’ve seen with exfoliating with The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I figured why not try a physical exfoliant as well that also gets rid of peach fuzz Before buying, I did the math and ultimately this was one of the cheapest options. When you calculate dollar per usage, the more you use the tool the cheaper it is compared to buying the plastic disposable alternatives. The cheapest I found (cheaper than buying SIMA, even in the long run) was a pack of 3 for $3.99. Using it was relatively easy & the second photo is what my face looked like right after. Let me know what you think! I think I’ll begin to use this every two weeks while using the Ordinary Chemical Exfoliant in between. Therefore incorporating a weekly exfoliating 🧖♀️

Go through my Skin Cabinet with me! 🧖♀️
First, let’s start with my favorite products of the bunch! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution If you’ve seen some of my earlier posts you know I love this chemical exfoliant! It has really helped to make my skin appear brighter. tarte - Babassu Foundcealer Skincare Foundation SPF 20 I have been using this one for probably a little over a year now and I love it! Not only does it have SPF in it but it sits nicely on my dry skin and it’s honestly quite the perfect match for my skin tone. schmidt's - Lavender + Sage Deodorant Stick I’ve also given this product its own review post so check it out for more info but so far this has been the only natural deodorant that has worked for me! It also smells amazinggg. Now onto some of my least favorite products of the bunch: Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lip Soother SPF 20 I bought this while looking for one of those clear lip glosses that just look SO GOOD on Instagram. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out to look so good & was too sticky. sun bum - Sunscreen Spray-Fragrance Free SPF 50 I wanted a mineral sunscreen spray that I could easily re-apply while out and about so I picked up this fragrance free one by Baby Bum (it’s made for babies). I’m not a fan however because it does not apply nicely, has a white cast & is difficult to get off the skin at the end of the day. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream The cream itself feels nice & keeps my skin hydrated, however it has plastic in it. I’m using it for now, but once it’s done I will not be replacing it🙅🏻♀️ Maybe you can tell 🤔 but here is how organized from top to bottom: Products I occasionally use - products like The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution & SPA SCIENCES - SIMA I alternate between once a week to exfoliate. The Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment & Clearasil - Overnight Spot Patches I use whenever I have a white head I need to get rid of & help heal afterwords. Makeup - I only use these when I wear makeup, which has been rarely these days Skincare - these products I use daily! I began using skincare products around the age of 14/15, so like 6-7 years ago but I admittedly did not get very much into it until this past year. Better late then never!
