Will you sashay or will you stay? 😔🤚🏼
I thought I'd give some thoughts on skin care products I have tried in 2020. I will talk about more products in future posts, but let's start with this. What I loved ❤ NEOGENLAB - Sur.Medic Azulene Soothing Pepthide Ampoule After my skin got randomly sensitive (currently being screened for lupus), a lot of products I already had in my routine just didn't work for me anymore and would make my skin angry. I needed to repair my skin barrier and use different products from what I used to use for my then acne-prone skin that could take a lot. This product was key in calming my skin and repairing my moisture barrier. This contains 10 peptides, Azulene blue capsule and ceramide capsules. Holy grail! The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' I heard somewhere that for peptides to be effective, you have to use them AM & PM. I use this in my bedtime routine to maintain the effects of the NEOGENLAB ampoule mentioned above. It's cheap and the packaging is glass. Very easy to incorporate this in your routine when taking a break from retinol that can be irritating. NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence I use this after double cleansing at night and it's so good. My skin just drinks it up and it doesn't leave any tackiness. It's super gentle and will give you a boost of hydration after your cleansing step. Been using this every day since this summer and I'm not even halfway done with the bottle. COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence My skin has gone through changes this year, but this is one of the products that remained in my routine. I use this in the morning before my serums and it makes my skin looks so great! It's kind of gooey at first, but turn to a watery texture pretty quickly. It's actually impressive how this just sinks into your skin. It helps with my acne scars and post-inflammation hyperpigmentation. One pump is enough for my whole face! BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream Many claim that eye creams are not necessary and I believe them. I personally like to use one because I set my concealer with powder and it can be a little drying. This is lightweight and is a good base before eye makeup. Helped with my fine lines and the packaging is glass. 4 stars cause it's not a necessity. Products I disliked 💔 Perricone MD - Hypoallergenic Firming Eye Cream This eye cream is so heavy and oily it gave me a few milias. Total rip off for the price and it contains palm oil. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum I incorporated more niacinamide in ny routine and stopped using acids more than twice a week, so this is not a necessity unless you have 100$ laying around. Can be irritating. Kiehl's - Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer It worked good when I used to be on antibiotics for cystic acne, but now my skin doesn't absorb it, makes me greasy and breaks me out cause it's clogging. I recommend only if you have dry and flaky skin.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
