2020 TOP 5 🥰
Hey Cherie Fam 🍒 I hope you’re all having a good day. I can’t believe 2020 is over in a few days! This year has been the wildest roller coaster. My top 5 for 2020 are: 1️⃣ PRODUCT ✨ •This is a bit hard, but I guess I have to choose one. I would say I can’t live without my Drunk Elephant C-Firma and Framboos, but I’ve been loving those products since 2019. A new product I added to my skin care routine this year is Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliator. This was recommended by a friend and swore it made his pores disappear. I bit the bullet and I’m so glad I did. It made my pores much smaller and my skin more glowy PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator 2️⃣ TREND ✨ •My favorite trend this year is niacinamide. Niacinamide reduces inflammation which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions. It also helps build keratin, a type of protein that keeps your skin firm and healthy. My sunscreen, which is Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40has niacinamide and so does my cleanser. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I decided to purchase Paula’s Choice niacinamide booster and I have no regrets 3️⃣ MY BEST LOOK ✨ • I love colors and exploring, but I think my best look is a soft glam smokey eye. I used my Natasha Denona Glam palette here 🥰 4️⃣ FAVORITE CREATOR ON CHERIE ✨ • I have a couple. I love @emily_because we seem to be interested in the same make up style and same make up products. Too bad she doesn’t post here anymore 😢 come backkk! • I love @@Jillianb1because she is also very talented and I love her content • I also love @madisonnoonsbecause her content is versatile. She also posts about makeup and lifestyle. • I have so many more such as @bealizbeauty@Malloryand@D.Bennettthere’s a lot of great creators on this platform and I’m glad I get to see so many talented people 5️⃣ SOMETHING I LEARNED • Not beauty related, but something I learned is to cherish every moment and appreciate every little thing. I travel quite often and had so many travel plans for 2020. When the shelter in place hit, I was shattered because I cant travel and let alone go get brunch or bar hop with my friends. Even working from home is a bit disappointing because I am an extrovert and thrive off being social. However, I re-discovered my love for make up. Therefore, I was able to create looks and share it on this platform. I am able to spend time with family often and built a better bond and relationship with them. I live about an hour away from them and barely saw them so I’m thankful this gave me the opportunity to spend more time with them Francesca 💋
NATASHA DENONA-Glam Eyeshadow Palette
Post acne scarring🥴 Ultimately, “less is more” is why my skin isn’t breaking out daily. No more painful, cystic acne. I got my skin adjusted to the bare minimum.👍🏼 I slowly introduce new products. No acids (Salicylic, Lactic, etc…), no exfoliating, no topicals. This stage of my skin journey is to allow my skin to heal & do what it’s supposed to do without disrupting the healing process. I still provide my skin with the necessary ingredients needed to assist with barrier repair & a healthy biome. Ceramides, Probiotics, Hyaluronic Acid, Colloidal Oatmeal, Niacinamide, Green Tea. * If anybody could recommend any more barrier repair products &/or ingredients i’m all 👂🏼 ✨Self Luv/ Self Care✨ With consistency, comes results💋

My Favorite Coral-Reef Safe Sunscreens! ☀️🏖
Coral-reef safe sunscreens are a thing and you should definitely get on board. Sunscreen protects our skin from sun damage, but can also be harmful to our coral reefs and sea! The culprit ingredients are Oxybenzone & Octinoxate. Supergoop recently reformulated a lot of their sunscreens to exclude Octinoxate so they are coral-reef safe! Just some general sunscreen tips: - You need at least half a teaspoon of sunscreen to properly protect your face and neck - You need at least a shot glass full of sunscreen to properly protect your whole body - Don’t forget about your neck or your ears - WEAR. SUNSCREEN. EVERY. DAY. (even if you’re just going to be at home - you can still get sun damage from sitting near a window!) Here is my collection of coral-reef safe sunscreens: Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 $34 This is a cult-favorite sunscreen. It has a slippy, smoothing primer-like feel and looks clear on the skin. It also leaves your skin velvety smooth with a satin finish. It’s my favorite sunscreen during the summer to diminish any excess shine and keep my face looking extra smooth. Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 $36 If you have dry skin or LOVE an extra glowy finish, this is your perfect sunscreen! It has a tint when you pour out the product but doesn’t offer any coverage on the skin. It also has a pearlescence to the formula that makes your skin look super dewy without glitter or shimmer. This is sometimes a little too much on me as my T-zone can get quite shiny on its own. Instead, I use this as an additional product, after applying another sunscreen all over my face, and blend it only on my cheekbones for a natural looking highlight! Supergoop! - CC Cream Daily Correct Broad Spectrum SPF 35 Sunscreen in Light $39 This is an amazing sunscreen product that offers lots of coverage. Personally, I don’t like super heavy coverage products so I don’t use this as my sunscreen step. There’s no way I use enough of this product at a time to actually protect my face and neck. What I do is apply another sunscreen first all over my face, and then I’ll blend a thin layer of this CC cream on top for some light coverage. Supergoop recently reformulated this CC cream and I’m super curious to try it out!

MY GO TO SUMMER SPF. HOW I REAPPLY SPF!
YES, you need to reapply sunscreen for it to continue to protect you all day. I have finally found my favorite rotation of sunscreens based on my needs, style, and skin type. I have DRY + BREAKOUT prone skin. I struggle with some eczema and my skin can be pretty reactive and sensitive! DARK SPOTS are always a big concern of mine, so wearing sunscreen everyday is a must for me. My style tends to switch back and forth from full coverage foundation glam to just concealer, blush and mascara. With makeup it is hard to reapply sunscreen, but there are many facial mist SPF made just for going over makeup. This is a must for reapplying SPF and it’s extremely easy and manageable. ✰ 𝚖𝚢 𝚂𝙿𝙵 𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚎 ✰ ① apply spf after skincare routine - supergoop or cleen beauty. ② MAKEUP ROUTINE! ③ spray spf makeup setting spray to set makeup and add extra protection. Take with me out and about and apply when needed. Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 + no white cast, just a POC friendly nude tone that disappears after applied. + clean chemical sunscreen. + cruelty free & REEF SAFE! + SPF 40 that acts as a makeup primer too. + pearlescent type glow/sheen. + hyaluronic acid & vitamin B5 to stay hydrated and glowy. + great for everyday wear. - don’t over do it. Add too much and you’ll look greasy $36 1.7 oz I love this specially for under makeup! cleen beauty - Mineral SPF 30 Face Moisturizer + 12% ZINC based! + SHEA BUTTER nourishes, moisturizes, & conditions skin helping to improve skin barrier health. + SODIUM HYALURONATE helps skin stay hydrated by locking in moisture. + very light white cast for a zinc based spf. + nice thick, but easy to blend in texture. + natural dewy finish. + reapply every 2hrs. * paraben free and reef safe. - contains dimethicone. - face gets shiny later in day. - not sweat or water resistant. + $10 online or at Walmart. My dry skin loves this, it’s been my most recent go to. I have not broken out from it and find it lost comfortable on my minimum makeup days. Kate Somerville - UncompliKated SPF 50 Soft Focus Makeup Setting Spray + fine mist aerosol setting spray with SPF. + spf 50 + wear over makeup or under. + Light Diffusing Silicone Powder softens, blurs, and gives matte finish. + Hyaluronic Acid increases hydration and helps to smooth the appearance of skin + Fragrance Note: Lavender Essential Oil. Smells pretty typical to sunscreen! * paraben free. Not reef safe. - oxybenzone 5%, Abobenzone 3%, Octisalate 10%, octocrylene 10%, Homosalate 10%. + $38 for 3.4oz It bums me out that this is not reef safe due to the ingredients, but that just means no wearing it at the beach. My skin takes to this pretty well. The fragrance doesn’t bother me. I like it a lot.

Beauty hacks for night owls 🦉
The skin is the largest organ in the body and when you don't sleep it can affect the quality of your skin, the guilty? the stress hormone called cortisol. Sleep deprivation can lead to dehydration, redness and breakouts. If you are a student, or your work doesn’t allow you to sleep early or you just go out partying, these are some products that have worked for me to hide my lack of sleep. M A S K A moisturizing mask can be a quick solution to improve dull skin. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask his mask is a wonder, it revives dull and dry skin, leaving the skin hydrated and soft. It has a creamy texture and its main ingredients are chestnut extract, vitamin C and niacinamide. I use it as a quick mask leaving it for 10 minutes and removing the excess with a warm cloth. I use it as a rescue when my skin is dehydrated and dull. S E R U M Something that has ALWAYS worked for me is to use a serum. It makes my skin look glowing and fresh. With 2-3 drops you can make your skin look radiant. HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil a serum that causes a lot of controversy, since many people don’t like it. For me it is magnificent, intensely hydrates the skin, smells very pleasant and awakens the senses. Leaves skin glowy and smooth. I use it when I need an immediate hydration boost. It is a light oil and its main ingredients are Cannabidiol, Cannavis sativa (Hemp) seed oil and ashwagandha. Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid its main ingredients a mixture of 4 nourishing oils, evodia rutaecarpa extract, sugarcane squalane and light reflecting minerals. Its texture is serum oil. Leaves a subtle, natural glow in addition to hydrating and leaving skin soft. My skincare routine for glowing skin ✨
Skin type: combinations, acne-prone. Skin concern: dull skin. Following a beauty routine has its benefits, keeping the skin clean and hydrated makes the skin always look healthy. To minimize the appearance of pores, prevent wrinkles and decrease fine lines I use VIVIER - Retinol 1% Night Complex its main ingredients are 1% pure retinol, vitamin C, vitamin E and shea butter. It’s well known that retinol promotes cell renewal and increases collagen production, making the skin appear firmer and healthier. To keep dark spots out, I use VIVIER - Serum 10 , it contains 100% pure L-ascorbic acid, one of the best formulations on the market due to its stability. Helps reduce signs of environmental damage (fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and tone). It’s an excellent ingredient to add to your beauty routine. I try to exfoliate my face 1-2 times a week with ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub its main ingredients are sea kelp and french green clay, after using it my my face feels clean and fresh OR HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub a gentle exfoliating scrub, its main ingredients are papaya and pineapple enzymes, BHAs and AHAs. It’s really a gentle exfoliant, it doesn't irritate and leaves my skin clean, smooth and full of glow. Added an ideal toner to brighten dull skin tone like GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Toner , helps control excess oil, purifies deep inside pores, calms redness and fades dark spots. Its main ingredients are kakadu plum (source of vitamin C), aloe, witch hazel, watercress and elderflower. I have been using this toner for 20 days and I love the results, eliminate redness and reduce dark spots, my skin looks cleaner, brighter and healthier. In the morning, I applied GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream , a lightweight moisturizer that hydrates and calms the skin. It’s ideal for combination skin, leaves my skin feeling hydrated and glowy without leaving it greasy and smells delicious. Masks are an excellent treatment to help with your skincare concerns. I have millions of masks, I use one that I feel is best for me at the moment. ▪️If my skin needs hydration - SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask ▪️If I need something stronger - The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ▪️If my skin feels dry or dull - SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask ▪️If I need to control excess oil -NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser Sunscreen is the most important part of any beauty routine, since it prevents damage caused by UVB / UVA rays. One of my favorites is Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 , it leaves a subtle glow that makes you not look tired, in addition to leaving the skin very soft and hydrated. Gentle reminder: don't forget to drink water, staying hydrated is very important for healthy looking skin, sleeping well is also important as it helps the normal renewal and exfoliation of the skin.
