<10 minute morning makeup
🌸 this is my entire morning make up routine that I do every day. I’ve never actually timed it before and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was less than 10 minutes! 🌸 my skin - oily and acne prone - my look: natural and fresh, good an camera 🌸 products and steps 1) primer Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 an amazing primer and SPF that fills in pores 2) brow 1 GRANDE COSMETICS - Grandebrow-Fill Volumizing Brow Gel With Fibers & Peptides i use this as a primer before I put on any brow color, and give it some time to dry. I think it helps grow my brows and strengthen them 3) concealer SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear and Cover Acne Treatment Cream Concealer with 2% Salicylic Acid this is my holy Grail of concealers, it has an active ingredient in salicylic acid in order to kill active acne, and the color pigment is so good and it blends perfectly with my skin. I will totally re-purchase this after this one runs out. The shade I use is honey. because I don’t use foundation, this is the most important step in my routine. conceal and correct! 4) set Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder I like this setting powder so much that I have bought it three times now. It has a little bit of Tint So it covers up anything that my concealer doesn’t get, and it literally blurs and mattifies your skin for the whole day. there’s no shine, no breakouts, and it makes my skin look good!! 5) brow 2 ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel I like this product because it is similar to benefits gimme brow, but this one has a lot more product for the same price. The one caveat I would say is that you have to get it in a color that’s lighter than normal, because the brush deposits a lot! 6) mascara primer LANCÔME - CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base this mascara primer has allowed my lashes to grow a lot longer by both protecting them from mascara products, and adding hair enriching nutrients 7) mascara COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara I absolutely adore the way that this mascara holds a curl, and I think I’ll probably get again 8) setting spray URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo if you don’t already on this, you should get it. i’ve been using this setting spray for years and it is the only thing that keeps my make up totally in place throughout the whole day. I have really oily skin and so make it tends to slide, but this keeps it from moving. And it keeps it from sticking to my mask! i’ve put mine into a different bottle that I like because it sprays better, but I also have THREE MORE BOTTLES in my room right now

When should you use sunscreen?
Always. You should always be using sunscreen. BUT there are a lot of cases out there where you absolutely need to be wearing sunscreen no matter what or else it’s counter productive to what you’re using in your routine. I’ve noticed this a lot online and with customers at work where they dive into all these skincare products but aren’t aware you need to be protecting your skin as well. That’s okay, I’m here to help. 🖤 If you’re using actives in your routine you need to wear a sunscreen. If you’re using AHAs (looking at you The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ), BHAs, Vitamin C, Retinol, PHAs, and/or anything else that exfoliates, brightens, or speeds up cell turn over it’s counter productive if you’re not using one. When you’re using products like this they can cause the skin to become photosensitive. What this means is that fresh, new layer of beautiful skin that’s just been exposed is a lot more sensitive to the sun. Think of your skin like a baby. It’s important to keep it out of the sun as much as possible and protect it whenever possible. If not you’re not going to be seeing results from your skincare products as more damage will pop up because of the sun. I’ve also heard a lot lately of people claiming to not need sunscreen because they are indoors a lot. You still need it. UVA/UVB rays can still penetrate through glass and affect your skin. Whether you’re in your house, driving to work, or by any window in general the rays are still hitting and affecting your skin. Esthetician school taught me 90% of aging is caused by UVA/UVB rays. It’s up to us to protect our skin in order to prevent skin cancer and see the results we want out of our skincare products. A lot of skincare is preventative and sunscreen is the number 1 preventative action you can take. I also want to take the time to say you do need a stand alone sunscreen. Sunscreen in make up and moisturizers do not count. The amount of that product you would need in order to get your recommended dose of SPF is insane. You’d be caking that stuff on your face all day. It is diluted in the product and not as effective as a stand alone sunscreen. My top three sunscreens lately have been the Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 , CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 , and KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 . None of them have a white caste and don’t give you that heavy sunscreen feel you remember from your childhood. Soon I want to go into in-depth posts about all three so stay tuned for that 🖤 #CheriePartner
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
3 products you should always have while in the ☀
May was Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and since summer is closely approaching I wanted to make a post about how important it is to protect our skin with an SPF everyday! Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless of age, gender or race. It is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Using a sunscreen can help prevent skin cancer by protecting our skin from harmful UV rays. It’s also important to note that no matter the season, your skin is your largest organ and you need to protect it from all environmental pollutants - not just the sun. The sun emits it’s harmful UV rays year-round. Even on cloudy days up to 80% of the sun’s UV rays can penetrate your skin. You want to make sure you are using a sunscreen that offers Broad Spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. What’s the difference between the two? ☀️UVA rays can prematurely age your skin, causing wrinkles, age spots/dark sun spots. UVA rays can pass through window glass and clouds meaning, yes - you need protection from these rays inside or even while driving in your car. ☀️UVB rays are the primary cause of sunburn and aid in the development of skin cancer. This is why you will need a sunscreen that protects you from both, and has an SPF of at LEAST 30 or higher. ⛅️You put a lot of time and money into your skin care ; why would you throw it all away by not protecting it from the sun? Before being interested in Esthetics/Skin I used to never think the right amount of sun protection was necessary and I was in those tanning beds ALLLL the time years ago.🤦🏻♀️ But once I learned the importance of protecting the skin and all the damage the sun is capable of - it’s just not worth it. Plus, there’s always self tanner and spray tans :) These are some of my favorite sunscreens to use at the beach or in the sun by the pool! Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 BADGER - Active Kids, Natural Mineral Sunscreen Cream, SPF 30 PA+++, Tangerine & Vanilla And of course stay hydrated all day with cold water 💧 I also really love Colorescience and Elta MD sunscreen which i will post about later 💕 #spf #sunprotection #CherieCreator

☀️ DON’T STOP WEARING SPF🍁
🍁 I get that it’s fall, and a lot of people tend to associate cooling temperatures with less sun. this is sort of accurate, to a certain degree, the changing of the seasons is actually affected by the fact that the suns rays are hitting us at a less direct angle than they do during the summer ☀️ colder temperatures ❌ less sun The sun is still there, and it still wants to make your skin age! i use Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 every day year round to protect my skin. i wanna look 22 forever people! 🍁 UVA for aging and UVB for burning as they say. don’t stop putting SPF into your skin care routine every day even if it’s 30° outside, or even if you don’t go outside. ☀️ Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 is $38 for 1.5 ounces, and it is totally worth it. I use this product as a primer and as my SPF for the day. I’ve been using it since May, and I am still on my first bottle! you can shake the bottle for an arrow with texture, or you can do what I do and want to squeeze out. I think it applies better when it’s not shaken 🍁 this product contains argan oil which moisturize the skin is not greasy, butterfly bush extract which protects against blue light, and white mulberry root to improve skin tone!

SUNSCREEN THAT BLURS IMPERFECTIONS✨
Product: Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 vegan cruelty free Matte screen is a mineral sunscreen the also provides light coverage for an everyday wear. You can wear alone or under face makeup. Why I bought it? I was gifted this item. First impressions? At first, I thought this was an all over body sunscreen. When I found out it was a sunscreen for your face that provided light coverage I was so excited. When I saw the color of the product it was darker than my complexion, but once blended in it had transparency being able to match my skin tone. How to apply? I apply a chickpea-size amount with my fingers all over my face, eyes, and neck. Will I repurchase? This product blurs imperfections acting as a tinted moisturizer with the added benefit of being protected by the sun. Because of how well the product works, I will be repurchasing.

My Favorite Ingredient-Focused Skincare BrandsToday, so many beauty brands truly care about ingredients over marketing — here are the ones I love most!Oct. 14
Over-Exfoliated Skin: What To Do NextOver-exfoliation has a plethora of symptoms, ranging from redness and inflammation, tightness of the skin, dryness and flakiness, irritation bumps, rashes, breakouts, and a stinging sensation. With the rise in popularity of at-home chemical exfoliation, it’s easier than ever before to take it a step too far. Everyone is trying out TikTok-famous products like The Ordinary’s AHA 30% and BHA 2% Peeling Solution without an understanding of how strong it really is. Chemical exfoliation is all the rage now, due to its ability to clear up acne, even out the skin tone, and give you a glowy look. But none of these things will happen if you don't exfoliate properly!Sep. 29
