Happy Monday Lovelies 💕
Happy Monday Lovelies 💕
I’m feeling extremely exhausted this morning & not in the best of moods. I’ve been very anxious since I started working again and it really has affected my days. Today in our #skincarestepspotlight I bring you my water based serums! These serums are used mainly in the morning and I find that these are the most affective when it comes to brightening and hydrating my skin. My top 3 favorite serums are ✨ Vitamin C: @farmacybeauty very cherry bright is my hands down favorite vitamin c! I have tried others and have liked them but there’s no other serum that I LOVE like my very cherry 🍒 ✨ Hyaluronic Acid: thought they @deciem is not my favorite I do enjoy incorporating hyaluronic acid into my morning routine to give my skin a little extra hydration ✨ lastly is a specific serum & it is the @eight_saints pep rally: this serum includes hyaluronic acid, vitamin c, and vitamin e. I love products that have many of my favorite ingredients and this one is a new favorite of mine! What’s your favorite water based serum?! Let me know in the comments below. Also are you enjoying this series?! I really do love sharing every Monday with you guys. SAME INGREDIENT | Hyaluronic Acid
DR ROEBUCK'S - No Worries Hydrating Face Moisturizer EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum Two products with the same ingredient! These both have hyaluronic acid even though they are very different products. Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient because it draws moisture from the air to hydrate the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I love this ingredient because it’s moistuizing while still gentle for my oily skin. The Dr. Roebucks No Worries moisturizer is a great basic moisturizer. The texture is amazing and provides a moisture barrier without making my skin too oily. It has no synthetic fragrance and minimal ingredients. In addition to hyaluronic acid, it also has macadamia oil which is another moisturizing ingredient. I can really feel the hyaluronic acid working in this product because of the bouncy texture to my skin after I use it. The only drawback to this product is that it has essential oils which can be sensitizing. Eight Saints Pep Rally serum is a hyaluronic acid and vitamin C gel serum. It has a bouncy, liquid gel texture and goes smoothly onto the skin. I can also feel the hyaluronic acid working in this toner because my skin feels so hydrated after use. I don’t really enjoy the scent of this product at all! This also has vitamic C but I didn’t see much improvement with this ingredient being added. In my opinion, the Dr Roebucks moisturizer is a better method of application for hyaluronic acid. Has anyone else tried these? ✨

Today’s water shot is brought to you by my little brother being grounded and having nothing to do so he wanted to help me shoot! He may just become my new personal assistant haha. I am so excited to share with you my 3 favorite products from @eight_saints . As many of you know I have been trying out their discovery kit for the last week and though some of the products unfortunately didn’t work for me I am so happy that these 3 did. 💧 Pep Rally: this hyaluronic acid serum i wasn’t actually surprised I enjoyed as I haven’t been able to find one that hasn’t left my skin feeling sticky. Not only does this one not feel sticky on my skin but it soaks into my skin rather quickly and leaves my skin so hydrated. Can be used in the morning and at night. EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum 💧 No Plans: This desert rose mask is a new favorite of mine! It is a natural kaolin clay mask that helps to detox your skin while maintaining hydration. It’s easy to wash off and doesn’t irritate my skin. I use this at night 1-2 times a week. EIGHT SAINTS - No Plans 💧Daydreamer: This moisturizer is one of my favorites to use in the morning because of its light texture and moisturizing factors. It includes hyaluronic acid as well as organic oils and botanicals to give your skin hydration throughout the day. I prefer to use this in the morning. EIGHT SAINTS - Daydreamer *PR but thoughts are my own*

EIGHT SAINTS MORNING ROUTINE 🦋
EIGHT SAINTS MORNING ROUTINE 🦋
EIGHT SAINTS - Bright Side This would not be a product I opt for in the future, just due to personal preference. If you are looking for an extremely gentle cleanser this just may be your HOLY GRAIL. For me it worked well enough and that is really it EIGHT SAINTS - Zen Out Of Ten After using the bright side cleanser as mentioned earlier I was happy to follow up with this. My skin felt very clean after, but this is not a daily use product as it is a mechanical exfoliator. This product exfoliates nicely leaving you with a glow after just one use. EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum I did feel hydrated after application, and liked the results. The only draw back ( which is definitely personal) It took longer than I would have wished for it to absorb in. EIGHT SAINTS - Seeking C I loved the way this absorbed right into my skin, and did not leave me feeling dry like some vitamin c products have in the past EIGHT SAINTS - Soulmate This brightening treatment smooths evenly over your skin, and works nicely as a primer under makeup. I do live products that have multi use and that is definitely influencing my decision on a five star rating over four EIGHT SAINTS - Day Dreamer “hydration hero” is how eight saint describes this product and I do have to agree. This delivered nice moisture through out the day and at no point on this humid hot summer day did it make my skin feel oily or suffocated. As I stated in my previous post this is also the recommended steps from Eight Saints for day time use. I have noticed my skin and complexion look smoother and brighter. As a whole I enjoyed these products more than the night time routine. I plan on following both Eight Saints regiments for the next few weeks to really give these products a chance. I look forward to giving you guys an update down the line 💕

🧂Eight Saints Salt🧂: The Green
🧂Eight Saints Salt🧂: The Green
You’ve been warned. Those with heart problems, please be advised that this is a high salt content post. I joined Cherie just to spill tea about this brand in particular so enjoy my miniseries on the pitfalls of paying for pretty and overformulated products. See my first post for a general brand spotlight, but here’s the essential tea for this brand: 🍵exorbitant prices are unreasonable 🍵overlapping actives making you buy more for no reason 🍵horrible sticky sweet smells to every product 🍵formulas that combine actives generally advised to be applied separately 🍵they didn’t improve my skin in two weeks nearly enough to buy anything more from them EIGHT SAINTS - All In You’ll note that Eight Saints has eight key ingredients that they claim are the most effective at battling skin problems, and they do overlap with many skincare brands in their formulas. You’ll also notice, however, that this eye cream uses all of them. Now there are smarter people than me who know more about exactly why you don’t want to say, mix Vitamin C and glycolic acid, but it’s safe to say that this product’s picture is in the dictionary under “overkill.” This eye cream did nothing to convince me that eye creams aren’t wildly unnecessary and I find it somewhat troubling to be layering eight major actives on my most sensitive face skin on top of the multiple other products with the same actives they suggest you use AM and PM. This feels like they’re throwing all the spaghetti at the wall to get some of it to stick. EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum Similarly, this Radiance gel is another layer of many the same actives but in a gel form. It does have very nice actives like Vitamins E and C, but when you notice that three or four products you use daily have the same set of actives in them, you begin to question their formulations. They ask you to apply several products with Vitamin C or E as if more is better. Honestly, it makes the multiple products in their routines semi-useless when used together, but picking and choosing may leave out any number of the eight main ingredients, so I guess you’re stuck buying them all! Bye bye, money! 💸💸💸

Eight Saints is such an interesting brand to me—they offer a full discovery kit of almost all of their products on their website for $10 with free shipping...but then have the audacity to charge $70 for 1oz of a hydrating serum? See more below... I love a good hydrating serum, and believe me...Eight Saints Pep Rally is GOOD! EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum it has wonderful ingredients like green tea, MSM, Hyaluronic acid, and vitamin c to get a ton of your morning necessities in one serum. It targets dullness and dehydration in the skin. I was really nervous trying this out because vitamin c usually makes my skin freak OUT but was able to use this daily for 2 weeks without that happening! I used this after my cleanser and before my moisturizer in the morning. I was surprised how quickly and easily this soaked into my skin...literally it was gone in less than a minute! And it didn’t pill under my other products. HOWEVER...y’all. 1oz of this serum costs $70!!! HOW. Literally no. It’s not worth that price. If you’re into the luxury thing, go for it! But personally? I enjoy the Ordinary’s Hyaluronic acid serum way more! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Overall I liked this serum but I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars for the price point...
