Matte Putty Primer

Im an avid mask wearer, so having a good base that won’t slip and look crazy in 2 seconds is important to me. I have oily skin, so I use a pretty mattifying primer e.l.f. - Matte Putty Primer I love it because it’s affordable and does the job, my makeup glides on pretty nicely. Next I put powder first! It’s a hack I (personally, if you got this technique from another it’s all good) from amazing beauty guru/influencer Jackie Aina. This helps the makeup stay in place a little better and helps with longevity. Like I said, I want my makeup to STAY 🙌🏾. I used MILANI - Make It Last Setting Powder Another highlight to make your makeup stay is to use an ultra long wear foundation. One of my favorites is the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation A little goes a long way, and it is matte but not ashy, which I love. Next, make sure to apply powder again after using foundation and such. Take care to apply more powder where your mask will sit, as it will provide extra layers to protect your makeup from completely rubbing off. Finally, I like to use a good setting spray. My personal favorite atm is #L’Oreal - Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray[products]#[FiveStars] This one really makes my makeup last for a long time. Especially considering, again, I have oily skin, i Can avoid looking crazy for a couple of hours with this one. For those days where I’m rushing out of the house or just want a simple no foundation but still done up look, heres what I do. The primer is perfect for those with very oily skin but who still want to look a little radiant. I love my bronzer from Mented Cosmetics and will be purchasing the darker one soon for more dramatic looks. The match sticks are perfect for no foundation days, and give such a beautiful “glowing from within” look. For the eyes, my ABH Modern Renaissance palette is very well used as you can tell by the cover lol. It’s an oldie but goodie for sure. Finally, I don’t wear falsies a lot but I also don’t like to spend a lot of $$ on mascara. The Essence mascara gave my lashes some great length for the price point. And Fenty Mattemoiselle lipsticks are so cute, can never go wrong with one of them. For those who don’t do a whole bunch to their brows, finding a good brow pencil is great. And this E.l.f brow pencil is affordable $$ and effective. I keep coming back to it. I’d love to try more creamy and liquid blush products. Any suggestions would be great! 💗👇🏾

It’s a combination of moisturizer and a primer. It has electrolytes and vital proteins which are amazing for skin. I absolutely love the shimmer it gives and when you apply under a foundation it’s a very pretty barely there glow. It also looks great worn alone which I like a lot. So why only ⭐️⭐️⭐️? Unfortunately, having a super oily T-zone, this primer looked amazing and kept my makeup in place for all of about 2 hours MAX. 😩 I really do wish it worked for me because I love everything about it except for that. I think this primer would be amazing if you have normal to dry skin. Everyone knows if I can get a drug store brand to work just as well as a high-end brand, I'm here for it. This primer is awful for regular, everyday wear. That being said, AMAZING for Drag! It's very thick and greasy but if you are like me and have huge pores, this will fill them right up and keep a solid and smooth base for your foundation. Also, allow for movement without drying out and cracking your foundation and it will keep your face on for hours. Again, not recommended for everyday looks as this is far too thick for a light foundation look but is perfect for all your Drag looks!
