I Can’t With You APRILSKIN 😿
I had a baby recently and due to the huge influx amount of hormones in my body some would be expressed through breastmilk. Due to this, my little one had baby acne. I put calendula cream on him made by #California Baby - Calendula Cream[products]#[FiveStars] and saw them diminish by 6 days. APRILSKIN’S premise is to provide simple skin products “that fix your skin woes with the best possible recipes in the shortest time possible”. 🤩 Wow, is that so? I’m sold but only if it works. They have a whole skincare line made with calendula as their selling point. Knowing that calendula is a safe ingredient since its safe for babies, I had come across a peel off pack made from real calendula by APRILSKIN. I did some research and seems that this product is pretty popular and had some great videos and reviews. APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack The brand mentions that the mask has strong sebum absorption, keeps skin moisturized and soothed. I bought the mask set which included a face mask brush, very cool. Using the brush, apply an even layer to entire face. Leave on for 20 mins. The peel off pack is sticky to apply so it’s difficult to put on an even layer. Once the mask dries, it tightens all around your face. When I removed it, it seemed to have captured some of my peach fuzz but didn’t really help in removing my blackheads or extra sebum. It’s wonderful that a lot of the ingredients APRILSKIN used are really natural but it isn’t as effective as I’d hoped. APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack Calendula cream from CALIFORNIA BABY may have worked on my little one but I’m in need for the stronger stuff! Overall, I wouldn’t repurchase this product and instead save my money on things that work for my skin. 🙌 Thanks for taking the time to read.

𝙂𝙇𝙊𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙎𝙆𝙄𝙉 𝙄𝙉 𝘼𝙋𝙍𝙄𝙇
𝙄 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙔𝙊𝙐’𝙍𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: Honey, it’s been a long quarantine year, but it most definitely ain’t April. True, but with a good skincare routine, your skin can defy the seasons and bloom like a flower in April. APRILSKIN promises: High performance gentle skin solutions. Is it true? Well the first good thing I can say about both: i did not break out and I did not experience any irritation on my skin using either. Note: **𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙣𝙚-𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡** APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿: 🌼Product goes on clear with dissolving calendula petals 🌼Product dries in 20-30 minutes 🌼 Extracted from 100% real Calendula Flower Petals 🌼 Orange Peel Oil clears up acne, reduces puffiness and redness (plus pore size) 🌼 Goes on smooth with the Aprilskin Jelly Brush 🌼 A lot more gentle than the average peel off mask 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝘿: ⚡️The smell is the opposite of enticing: it’s strong and smells similar to alcohol (fades once it dries) ⚡️It feels tight after it dries ⚡️ Dry skin? This will only make it more dry ⚡️ It only appears to take off surface oil and dirt, not going deep enough though it claims to penetrate (my skin does feel clean afterwards though) APRILSKIN - Real Carrot Blemish Clear Serum 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿: 🥕 non-commodigenic! 🥕It brightened and soothes my skin 🥕 It sinks into my skin pretty fast about 3minutes 🥕Contains Hyaluranic Acid and Niacinimade 🥕Faded some of my Hyperpigmentation and acne scars 🥕glides on like silk 🥕Helps with Milia 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝘿: ⚡️The smell again... not bad but kind of like organic soil in the garden section ⚡️The texture is light, slide-y with a milky white color but before settling has a sticky kind of residue ⚡️ Says that it soothes but contains some essential oil ingredients that could cause irritation **I am happily on my second bottle of calendula peel off mask but I more than likely will not be buying another bottle of carrot serum

A lil TLC
How are you giving your skin a little extra love these days? I opt for hydrating eye patches, moisturizing sheet masks, and a super gentle peel off mask. For when I need to be event ready, bright eyed, and bushy tailed: bliss - Eye Got This Holographic Foil Eye Masks These eye masks are fool proof. I have very sensitive under eyes that are prone to eczema as an allergic reaction to the weather around me. These eye masks do not irritate my skin and do a good job of brightening up my under eyes. If you have puffy eyes like me, I suggest going over them with ice every morning. Intense, I know, but it helps with the significant puffiness. As for my jade roller - I’ve studied the scientific effects of jade rolling. I myself personally do not see a difference. Lymphatic draining will come from diet, hydration, and sleep. From the inside out. However, if ice is too cold for you, keeping your jade roller in the fridge and rolling it over these eye patches calls for a very calming and soothing sensation. While it won’t reshape your bone structure, no one can deny that a little treat yourself moment can always be called for. For when my skins throwing a temper tantrum: peach slices - Travel Mask I typically use this mask the night before a big event, or when my skins being cranky for no reason. It’s calming and hydrating but does not clog your skin. For when my skin needs a little exfoliation and pat on the back: APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack This peel off mask is incredible. It will not suck everything out of your pores. But it will help get rid of dead skin, calm down white heads, and smooth out your skin. It’s a filter for your face. The peel off is incredibly gentle and your face will feel hydrated afterwards. Follow with serum and moisturizer to lock in that calendula.

Overcoming Different Types of Acne
Okay, so here we go! 🤭 (p.s. I’m not sure how to turn off the audio, I was listening to podcasts lol) PRODUCTS USED: • YTTP Superfood Cleanser;First off, smells AMAZING, like a green juice for your face! 🥬 • YTTP 11% Glycolic Acid Toner; I like it, it just leaves me face a tad sticky-like? It’s tolerable but slightly annoying & I feel like I go through it so quickly 🍊 • YTTP Superfood Reset Mask; I LOVE doing this mask, even my boyfriend tries to join me. It smells great & goes on very nicely! I’ve been doing it for the last 3 weeks or so and I feel like it’s helped a lot! I do about 2 times a week 🥬 • April Skin Peel Off Mask;I LOVE this mask! It’s such a rush to peel it off. And it makes my skin feel amazing after! • YTTP Adaptogen Soothe+Hydrate Mist;I like this! Although, it’s doesn’t smell the best, which is unfortunate ;( but it’s hydrating with hyalauronic acid! A good refresher! 🤍 • MMT Skin Cream;this cream is amazing!! It kind of leaves your face a bit greasy-ish but it’s tolerable. I usually pair it with the oil then this on top and it’s been my nightly routine & I love it! 🧴 • MMT Juniper Carrot Seed Oil;☝🏼 like I said, this works GREAT with the face cream. It doesn’t smell too strong and soaks in relatively quickly! 🐈 Okay, here are some details on my skin journey! 🤗 So I’ve been through like 3 different kinds of acne over the last 4-6 months. I went from what I thought was Milia around last Oct-Dec. (THIRD pic!) milia;develop when tiny skin flakes become trapped in small pockets near the surface of the skin. Then I went through hormonal acne around Jan-March. I knew this because I started getting cystic acne, especially around my chin. That led me to a dermatologist, prescribing Spiranolactane, which I stopped taking at the end of March when I didn’t think I needed it anymore. (4-6 PICS—Taken in Feb/April!) hormonal acne;usually the result of male hormones such as testosterone (yes, even as a woman, your body produces a small amount of testosterone) and other androgens. Lastly, I’ve been having some respiratory problems and had to take Amoxicillin for a week. I also changed my skincare routine ( SECOND PIC ). And ever since the beginning of April, my skin is FINALLY clearing up! So, now I’m recovering from acne scars. I don’t know if these prescriptions had any affect or if it was simply my hormones finally calming down (FIRST PIC). Therefore, I wanted to share some perspective on my prescriptions/skincare/routines and how they affected my combination skin. My best advice is to STICK to a routine for a few weeks and GO to a dermatologist! 🌞
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha
I fell victim to this mask after seeing so many influencers praise it. It is said to be a gentle, highly effective mask that dives deeper than its competitors to target blackheads, clogged pores, dirt, oil, and debris. This mask was easy to peel off and did not feel like it was tugging my skin /too/ much. It did not seem like it ‘dived deeper’ to remove anything other than dead skin on the surface. My skin was left feeling smooth and looked more even with a reduction in redness. Unfortunately, after a few minutes my face began to feel itchy—like really itchy. I immediately rinsed my face with cold water and follow up with a calming sheet mask. Thankfully I had no swelling/redness, stinging, burning, or pimples/bumps. So I don’t think it was an allergic reaction to this; I think this was simply not good for my skin barrier.

APRILSKIN, Real Calendula Peel off Mask
I took a leap of faith on this one and ordered the APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack mask mostly in part to there excellent advertising techniques even though I knew no one who has tried this. With half the bottle gone, I still am not sure how I feel about this mask. My skin had a nice glow as well as some relief for my pores. It’s gentle enough to where I don’t feel like I just lost layers of skin and hair in the process of applying this mask. Bottom line not sure If I will be reordering but happy enough to finish out the bottle. I finished off my routine with some SON & PARK - Beauty Water (Absolutely love this toner!), which enhanced the glowy aspect of my skin and moisturized with the dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Cream which is nicely hydrating and gentle on my sensitive skin and shouldn't add to my pores that I just masked to clear out.
