My skincare routine for DRY SKIN
So I have dry skin and it is a bit sensitive and I found that these products worked best for me. I apply it in such order 1) Cleanser 2) Toner 3) Serum/Booster 4) Moisturizer 5) Sunscreen (AM only) For the cleanser LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser I really enjoyed it. It did wonders for my dry skin. It has a creamy milky consistency that doesn’t lather ensuring that your skin isn’t overly stripped. I would also recommend this product if you have sensitive skin because it has 8 ingredients! For sensitive skin it is better to use less ingredients to ensure that your skin doesn’t get irritated. I would compare the consistency to CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Next I use a toner. FARMACY - Deep Sweep The only reason I actually use it is because of the BHA. I found it to not be irritating and my skin didn’t have a tingling feeling either. Since I do have dry skin I don’t use it all over my face. I only use it on my chin for whiteheads and on my nose for blackheads. Another plus is that this toner is alcohol free! After that I use a serum/booster. VERSED - HYDRATION STATION Booster With HA This booster is really good and I didn’t find it to be sticky as others might say. It has a lightweight consistency and almost feels like there isn’t anything on your face. After I apply this booster my skin feels really soft and hydrated which is a must for dry skin. Hyaluronic acid offers those benefits. The moisturizer I use is the HONEST - The Daily Calm Lightweight Moisturizer When I found out that Honest Beauty came out with this formula I was impressed because they usually use fragrances (essential oils) in their products. I decided to give it a try because it is fragrance free. However, it had a noticeable scent to it that wasn’t pleasant. Yes it is fragrance free but it just has a noticeable “lotion” type smell that you can smell all day. Besides that one problem I have no complaints. (If you have moisturizer suggestions for dry skin please let me know) Finally I use sunscreen. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA +++ This right here is one of the only sunscreens with zinc oxide that doesn’t leave a white cast. Sunscreen is an essential part of your skincare routine no matter what your skin tone is. You should definitely be using one especially if you exfoliate. It feels like there is nothing on your face. I definitely recommend this one!!
Drab to Fab Help me create my skin routine!!
Help me create my holy grail go to skin care/makeup beauty routine! My skin type sensitive reactive combination but mostly very dry My skin concerns Dryness Redness/Flushing Irritation Dullness Dark Spots Texture Large Pores Eye Styes Eye Area Known Sensitivity To Thimerosal Lanolin Citric Acid Artificial Fragrances Oxybenzone I have no makeup that works for my skin right now it all looks dry or caky and just not pleasant. With the exception of my eyebrow pencil and mascara but I am always open for suggestions. My currents for last two weeks for a skin reset are: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser Loving this so far for its gentleness. I do have to rinse this off or it clogs my pores some. Avène - Tolérance Extrême Emulsion Gentle non irritating but it is not hydrating enough. Avène - Skin Recovery Cream Gentle non irritating and more hydrating and longer lasting than the emulsion but still it does not last the day or the night. CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm I use this for my eye makeup removal or as a double cleanse 1st step the days I do one. I love it!! It has such a minimum ingredients list and does not dry out or irritate my skin. Thanks in advance!

A nice touch to the double cleanse
GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm I succumbed to the Glow Recipe appealing marketing tactics and purchase their new Papaya Sorbet Cleansing Balm. The packaging and presentation is an absolute delight, it definitely gets 5 stars and proudly would display this as its very pleasing on the eye! I love also that it glides on the skin like a dream and really lifts the daily grime of make up off, so as far as I’m concerned, it does the job. I’ve seen reviews saying that users find it difficult to get off or becomes extremely “waxy and stringy”. Personally I have never experienced this: I massage onto dry skin, work it in for 60 seconds and then use a soft microfibre cloth moistened in luke warm water and gently remove the balm with the cloth until it’s all gone. I’m left with a very clean, fresh and soft face and then go in with my second gentle milk cleanser (like LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser ) I gave it 4 stars only because I do find the smell a bit strong, and as a first time user of this problem I’m just wondering as time goes on it’ll become quite a sickly smell - for me. I also prefer no fragrance anyway. Would I repurchase? I would say “yes”, but only as a splurge once or twice a year. As it is quite expensive for something that’ll be washed off your skin in 2 minutes. But I was quite excited to use it and may even keep the jar once it’s all used up!

Travel Friendly Cleanser
I got this as a gift with purchase with one of the LRP moisturizers I bought. Its great for travelling because its small (50ml) , the usual one is sold in 400ml. Its like most other milk based cleansers , great to use for intense makeup. I’m not sure if I’ll purchase it because i’ve got other cleansers that I really like right now. The 400ml retails for $29.95 (Canadian) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser

La Roche-Posay Toleraine makeup remover
I’ve been looking for a makeup remover for my sensitive skin and I stumbled across this. THIS IS SO BAD AND USELESS! Forget eye makeup, this doesn’t even take off face makeup. I’m not sure what kind of skin it would work on because I made like 10 of my friends try it too to no good! Utter waste of money! I’d give it negative stars if possible!
