💫 brand review: the inkey list 1/2
The Inkey List has some of the best products I have ever tried and they are extraordinarily underrated. And that goes for both high end and “affordable” products. I feel like they don’t get the hype they deserve. I’ve only tried a few products from them, and some have completely transformed my skin. Others have not been the best or made a huge difference, but they weren’t necessarily “bad”. Again, I can only speak to what I’ve tried, and I definitely need to try more. They have so many different products to target different skin concerns for every person and their website is fantastic in helping build a skincare recipe specifically for your concerns. The brand itself is also super engaging with their consumers, i have spoken to their social media reps a few times with regards to product recommendations on Instagram and they have always been super helpful! Here are the products I have tried and how they performed for me: **DISCLAIMER: my skin is normal/combo with an oily t-zone and a few breakouts here and there. I get a lot of blackheads on my nose and chin and a few little bumps on my cheeks that I have not figured out what exactly they are but they are incredibly stubborn and don’t have a head so they can’t be popped. If I were to try to pop them, they turn into a pimple, so I’m still not sure what exactly they are** THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid this is the ONLY thing I have noticed that made a difference in those bumps I mentioned earlier. I can’t express to you how long I have tried to get rid of these bumps, how much research I have done and how many products I have tried to no avail. Until I met the BHA serum from the Inkey List. After about a week or so, I noticed a dramatic difference in my skin. It is formulated with salicylic acid that is strong enough to make a difference in my skin but is still a gentle exfoliation that did not cause any sort of bad reaction. I absolutely love this stuff and I will not allow myself to be without it. THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide the niacinamide serum is my newest product to try and just, wow. I alternate nights between using the BHA and Niacinamide serum and I can’t begin to tell you what a game changer this has been. I have noticed the overall clarity, texture, and appearance of my skin to be so much. It feels so hydrating when applied and has the most silky texture that feels luxurious. My skin has never felt or looked better since using this in conjunction with this serum. THE inkey LIST - Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) Gentle Exfoliating Toner this toner is SO gentle on my skin but makes it feel so refreshed and revitalized. I use it every night after my cleanser and before one of the two above serums and it just really makes my skin feel like all the makeup, dirt, and buildup of the day is really being removed from my pores but without stripping my skin. It really makes my skin feel so soft and I would recommend to everyone

The products ✨ Niacinamide, also called vitamin B3 has quickly become a staple ingredient in my routine. Niacinamide helps to reduce the appearance of pores, control excess oil production and reduce the amount of blemishes and congestion. While the inkey list is a straight niacinamide serum, the ordinary’s contains zinc which is supposed to further help with blemishes My thoughts✨ When I began my skincare journey this was one of the first products I decided to pick up to address my oily/acne prone skin. I use niacinamide once a day in the AM and I notice my skin’s oil production is more balanced throughout the day. Since I’ve started using this I’ve gone through two bottles of The Ordinary’s niacinamide and decided to picked up The Inky List’s to compare. I would say both of these products give me the same result, but overall I prefer The Inkey List’s. The Ordinary’s formula is more sticky and dries quicker, so I end up having to use more product compared to when I use The Inkey List. My only complaint about the inkey list is the bottle, more specifically the top... I just overall prefer a dropper applicator. With that said I originally picked up the inkey list when I was going to be traveling because it’s a plastic more compact bottle, better for travel. I was originally worried it might leak, but thankfully it didn’t. Both of these products are extremely affordable (under $10) for 1oz, which lasts a few months so if you’re thinking about trying Niacinamide definitely do. These are a few of many products I recently purchased. GRANDE COSMETICS - The Power Couple Lash & Lip Cult Faves Starter Set This is new to me. After hearing so many good things about it I figured I’d try it out. I mean who wouldn’t want plumper lips and longer lashes? This kit is only $24 at Sephora. THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide I love this brand! I have a cleanser by them that I use frequently. I love the ingredient niacinamide. It’s great with tackling reddness, oil production and your acne scars! This product is only $6.99 at Sephora. Samples are: Dolce & Gabbana k And Giorgio Armani lip sampler pack I plan to use them for a while and I will post updates!

Niacinamide: My Favourite Ingredient
Niacinamide is one of my all-time favourite ingredients and it’s really not talked about enough. Niacinamide is proving to be a power player in skincare, managing to soothe inflammation, reduce redness, control oil production, minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, even skin tone, improve texture, improve the appearance of fine lines, and improve skin radiance. It’s truly such a multi-faceted ingredient and I recommend it in all routines! Here are my experiences with some popular niacinamide serums: • The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% was my first niacinamide serum. It played a huge role in transforming my skin from oily to normal/combo. It also helped tons with my acne... until it didn’t. The zinc in this formulation is hit-or-miss, being a hit for most! But I found myself in the small population of the miss category, my skin reacting poorly to prolonged use. I still recommend folks wanting to try niacinamide on a budget give it a try at $5.90USD for 30mL and $10.60 for 60mL. • The Inkey List’s Niacinamide Serum came next, its $6.99/30mL price tag making it a good zinc-free budget alternative. This product utilizes niacinamide in a base of glycerin, squalane, and hyaluronic acid, focusing on light hydration alongside the touted oil control. The lip does get a bit clogged with crystallized product, but the applicator is convenient for travel. I enjoyed this serum, but the ingredient list is a bit basic. • Paula’s Choice Skincare’s 10% Niacinamide Booster, at $44.00 per 20mL... I was hesitant to purchase this serum. But I’ve got two back-ups of this serum on the way, if that says anything about how “worth it” it is. It helped reduce the appearance of the sebaceous filaments on my chin, forehead, and the bridge of my nose, plus I experience less irritation from altering my skin routine than I normally would... and I find my skin just feels bouncy after I apply this serum- perhaps an effect of the absolutely stacked INCI list! Whereas the other formulas are bare bones, PC packs in CoQ10, vitamin c, and allantoin, boosting its anti-aging and soothing properties. If you can afford it, I’d give it a try! Its pore-minimizing results alone will keep me repurchasing.

MY SEPHOR SALE RECOMMENDATIONS (Current Loves!)
A few of my current favorites💖 and all available at @sephora (just in time for the VIB sale!) • M A K E U P NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow (I’m showing Terracotta Tan & Salty Siren) These cheek colors are so creamy and pigmented but easy to sheer out for a super natural finish! It dries down to a satin finish and stays on all day! I love all the shades. • NUDESTIX - Magnetic Plush Paint Lip, Cheek & Eye Color in St. Tropez It’s a super lightweight formula that can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks for an easy monochromatic look! It goes on sheer but is buildable and dries down to a satin finish. • NARS - Afterglow Lip Balm in Fast Lane A sheer balm that’s super moisturizing and adds a hint of color and shine! It’s great for on the go and Fast Lane is my perfect MLBB shade! • S K I N C A R E ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation in Ora This is a great sunscreen skin tint that gives a tiny bit of coverage to even out skin and add a glow. I don’t rely solely on this for sun protection so I usually apply this after my sunscreen for additional protection. I love that it also contains Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane to treat and hydrate the skin. • THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide This is a lightweight gel serum with 10% Niacinamide and 1% Hyaluronic Acid that helps to control oil production and reduce blemishes. I’ve been loving this and have seen a huge difference in my skin texture since using. • ALPHA-H - Beauty Sleep Power Peel This is chemical and physical exfoliator with 12% Glycolic Acid to exfoliate deep into the layers of your skin and the Jojoba Microbeads (which are super gentle) help to remove dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. This doesn’t feel harsh on my skin and really helps to clear up any pore congestion! • YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi This cream is super moisturizing because of the Squalane, Ashwagandha, and Fermented Reishi ingredients which together help boost skin’s hydration and soothe any irritation. • H A I R OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil I’ve been using this for a month now and I’ve already noticed that my hair looks healthier, shinier and less dry! It also smells so good and leaves my hair feeling so smooth!
