Ambient Lighting Bronzer
Editor's NotesHourglass' 'Ambient Lighting Bronzer' is made using the label's Photoluminescent Technology - it creates a multi-dimensional glow instead of the flat appearance of traditional products. Blended with silky handmade powders, this formula effortlessly blends while adding dimension and depth. - Suitable for light to medium complexions - Neutral bronze shade with warm undertones - Also available in Diffused Bronze Light , Radiant Bronze Light and Luminous Bronze Light .
Why It's SpecialAmbient Lighting Bronzer’s sheer, airy formula sweeps softly onto skin for a healthy-looking, radiant finish. It’s formulated with Photoluminescent Technology, featuring optically transparent particles that transform the look of skin by manipulating and refracting light to emphasize your best features. The optically transparent particles allow for seamless blending and color transitions. The powders, blended by hand using an advanced miscelare technique, offer the perfect balance of pigments in a gorgeous pattern. Use this bronzer alone, or paired with Ambient Lighting Powder for maximum control to create depth and dimension—or even use it for a subtle contouring effect.
What It IsAn illuminating bronzer with Photoluminescent Technology, featuring bronze pigments that deliver a natural-looking, sunkissed glow while flaunting depth and dimension.
What Else You Need to KnowMost bronzers are flat and look unnatural. That’s where the Photoluminescent Technology really lends itself to the Ambient Lighting Bronzer. It's perfect for creating a natural sunkissed glow. I personally love using Luminous Bronze Light for subtle contouring because it blends seamlessly with the Ambient Lighting Powders and blushes."—Carisa Janes, Hourglass Founder Hourglass products are 100 percent cruelty-free.
GRWM - Every Day Makeup
Here's my every day makeup routine! It's just a few products and takes me less than 10 minutes. It's also super easy to change up. 1. Start with clean skin! I've already applied my skincare and most importantly my SPF! 2. Prime! I use the Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer it's sticky and grips onto anything applied over the top of it. Plus it's hydrating, but doesn't make my oily skin too oily. 3. Using a thick brow pomade, I use the PATRICK TA - Major Brow Shaping Wax , or something like soap brush your brow hairs up into place. I like to go for a bushy brow look. 4. Spot conceal using a thick, high coverage concealer. The KEVYN AUCOIN - The Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer is perfect because it works well all over the face. I use a creamier tube concealer under the eyes, right now the PAT McGRATH LABS - Sublime Perfection Concealer is what I love to use. It's high coverage, but super blendable and doesn't crease under my eyes. 5. Let the concealer dry for a few minutes before blending it out! 6. Blend everything out! If you need to reapply or conceal anything else, now's the Time! 7. Set. I only set the areas that I get the most oily and under the eyes with Too Faced - Peach Perfect Setting Powder . 8. Bronze the outer perimeter of your face. For this step I use a bronzer with shimmer since I'm not going to highlight. I'm loving the HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer it gives the perfect bronze making it look like you just got back from a beach vacation, aka skin goals. 9. Add some blush to the cheeks and a bit to the nose. MAC - MAC Powder Blush in the shade Melba is an OG favorite!! If you haven't tried it, you need to! 10. Final step, do any final touches! Go over with your foundation brush and blend over anything that needs it. I evened out my brows. And then your done!

Glowy makeup in literally 10 minutes
Okay, so I literally forgot that I had a Zoom call this morning that I needed to be on camera for and literally had to get glammed up in 10 minutes. I have acne-prone skin and always need my makeup to cover up my breakouts and scars, so concealer is a must for me. Since using Zoom, I’ve noticed that mascara makes a huge difference and can truly elevate your look by lifting up your lashes. Bronzer and blush also make big impacts in the way your skin looks on Zoom; sometimes I’ve found that I look ghostly pale if I don’t add a little color to my cheeks. To save time, I skipped foundation and just spot-treated with concealer (thankfully I didn’t have that many spots and bumps to cover up today lol). I also don’t use powder or lipstick if I’m in a rush - and sometimes I forget to get rid of my mascara smudges (which I definitely did today lol) Here’s my 10-minute routine and the steps/products that I consider essential: Prep: Glossier Futuredew oil serum on my high-points to make my skin look glowy. I don’t recommend using a lot of this product or applying it all over the face since it can be thick and oily. Applying a little on the high-points is how I’ve avoided breakouts. Concealer: Fenty Beauty Match Skin Stix in French Vanilla. I applied it to my under-eyes and then around the spots on my chin and forehead to brighten and conceal. Since it’s a stick formulation, I like to blend it out with a damp beauty sponge otherwise I find it hard to blend out and get a natural-looking finish. This product is also really good for Zoom because of its matte finish, which helps eliminate any the glare from your computer looking like shine. Mascara: Marc Jacobs Beauty Mascara delivers fuller, voluminous lashes in one sweep because of its fluffy hourglass wand. It’s one of my favorite mascaras of all-time and really transforms my lashes. Blush: Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in the shade Pinkgasm, which is a liquid blush and the most shimmery, gorgeous pure pink shade and blends into the skin so nicely and easily. I’ve found that a little goes a long way, which is great when you’re in a pinch, otherwise it can be a bit much. I love to apply it with my fingers. Highlight: Saie Beauty Dew Balm in Rosy Gold, which is actually the worst product to use in a pinch; it’s really hard to get the salve-like balm out of the tube. But once it’s out and melted down from your fingers, it creates the dreamiest glow. Bronzer: I always do bronzer last in case I don’t have time for it, but I love the glow my skin gets from Hourglass’ powder Ambient Lighting Bronzer, which creates a natural-looking contour and never looks artificial or caked on. If there’s time, I like to apply a little to the creases of my eyes for a little definition and faux eyeshadow moment. Thankfully I had time today because it made me look so good.

POWDER BRONZER COLLECTION💖✨ An Overview👀
My perfect powder bronzer formula is one that doesn’t apply patchy (even over cream products), and adds a decent amount of color and warmth to my face. To be honest, I always choose cream bronzer over a powder one but I’ve recently discovered a new way of using powder bronzer! Instead of using it to “brontour” (bronze+contour), I use it was a wash of warmth all over the face, or just along the high-points. It’s like a veil of golden color that makes you look more radiant and glowy. MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Bronzer in Tantalize This is the deepest bronzer I own and I only reach for it during my tannest months in the summer. The formula is matte and super pigmented, but also very blendable so it always looks seamless on the skin. FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Inda Sun This is the lightest bronzer I own and I can only use this when I’m at my very palest. It’s another matte formula but equally as creamy as Marc Jacob’s. It’s a sheer formula but builds up quite nicely. Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze & Glow One of the cooler-toned bronzers I own. This has a slight amount of shimmer, undetectable to the naked eye, but gives the face definition and warmth all-in-one. HONEST - Luminizing Powder in Dusk Reflection To me, this is a sheer, glowy bronzer but I know this is marketed as a face powder for deeper skin tones. I wish this came in more shades to be more inclusive because I love the formula. This never looks cakey and always leaves the skin looking healthy and radiant. BY TERRY - Compact Expert Dual Powder 4. Beige Nude This is a super pigmented, smooth powder bronzer that isn’t very deep on me but adds a nice amount of warmth to the skin. It’s heavily fragranced though, and once you get past it, you skin will look smooth and flawless. Too Faced - Sweethearts Bronzer My holy grail powder bronzer. I used this nonstop for 6 months and I loved it. I still love it. The shade is perfectly neutral (not too cool or too warm) but it just makes the skin look so flawless, bronzed and glowy. The powder has a radiant finish - not glittery or shimmery! HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Diffused Bronze Light This is one of the lighter, sheerer bronzers I own. I use this like a finishing powder on the face after I’m done will all my makeup. It has a slight amount of shimmer but also undetectable on the skin. All it does is smooth your skin, add some warmth and make you look bronzed.

P I N K 💗
This is classic for pink lovers! I’m attempting a crossover between the soft girl/ e girl aesthetic and I’m pretty happy with the results! I started with a simple light pink eyeto blend it with a brighter, neon pink and top it with my shiniest glitters. After that I drew a dramatic winged liner to tie everything together but the main focus are lips and cheeks! I put a lot of bright cool toned pink blush on cheeks and nose and then drew a heart on in with concealer. For the lips I used a pink lipstick topped with a gloss to help me diffuse the colour and give some shine. okay, so I didn’t know if I had anything to contribute regarding mask makeup, BUT I did start doing my makeup a little different AND got complimented on it while wearing a mask, so that qualifies right?! essentially, the name of the game is 👁 e y e s 👁, since that’s the main feature you see when wearing a mask (as you should be!) here’s what I’ve been using lately: MAC - MAC Eyeshadow I start by using my finger to blend in an orange shade from MAC. using a different finger, I take a gold shimmery shade and apply that just to the area above my lashes. it’s not super neat but that’s okay! because then... I use HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer with a small brush to blend the eyeshadow into my skin! this helps it look really blended and beautiful. it’s such an easy trick and makes the biggest difference. I then line my waterline with this black liner. it’s so silky and drugstore so I’m a super fan! I also make a soft wing and use the sponge applicator on the end to smudge into a thinner line. it kinda got away from me today, but hey. I’m trying my best here, haha. RIMMEL - Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara finish everything off with this volumzing mascara! I’ve mentioned this quite a few times, it’s a fave. that’s it! pretty simple right? honestly, however you wear your makeup as long as you wear a mask will be GORGEOUS!! stay safe out there! ☁️ #cheriepartner

Colour of the season 🍊✨
Mini haul featuring my fave colour of the season 🍊 I’m just gonna go ahead and say it... Hourglass has thee best powders, hands down! They make my face look like I’m glowing from the Gods 😇 They don’t have sparkle & glitter, they just leave my skin with a perfect sheen. I use these powders over top of my foundation and concealer base, and they give me a subtle glow and less makeup cake-up!🤗 **Side note, I do believe these powders would leave a beautiful finish on any skin tone! They’re very universal and not super pigmented. I recommend HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Palette to anyone. It’s good for overall face, highlighting and bronzing your skin slightly (on my light-medium skin anyway, but I usually still go in with bronzer). The one on the very left is even good for blotting throughout the day. Also, the HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer is pictured on the right. It gives a similar effect to my skin as the palette, and it’s not too deep of a bronze that I can’t apply it to my whole face. If you’re looking for a budget friendly version of the palette, I’d say start with the bronzer! It even comes in a mini size (which is what I have). It’s truly amazing! MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner This is such a gorgeous orange-coral shimmer eye pencil and I love it upon my first try 💓 MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Pencil: Eye, Lip & Brow Pencil These artist color pencils by MUFE are one of a kind. You can use them on eyes, brows, cheeks and lips. I’ve tried other colours as well, they’re so versatile and definitely a staple in my collection. However, this orange was definitely too bright in my opinion. FENTY BEAUTY - Slip Shine Sheer Shiny Lipstick I needed a cute orange lippie to go with the rest, no? 🙊 I liked this orange “tang thang” by fenty because it’s very sheer, not so in your face
