Acne Skincare Routine ✨
I show a lot of my routines so I decided to highlight some of my favorite acne products that have given me results. Cleansers; COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I use this 3-4xs a week during my morning CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin This was my original goat cleanser. I have a previous post on how to use this for best results! PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser I use this every night and days I don’t use the Cosrx cleanser Toner: Murad - Clarifying Toner This toner was made for oily and combo skin. If you have sensitive or dry skin I would be cautious. I use this once a week (sometimes twice if it having a bad break out) COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid This is like a toner honestly. I use this with the SA cleanser as a double dose of salicylic acid. *Etc COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence I use this day and night everyday! This baby is essential as a buffer for hydration! If you want your skin barrier to maintain itself while using various actives this is your best friend! Treatment: SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I use this 3xs a week (sometimes more). Salicylic acid can be used daily but still take precautions. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel This is the HG of HG for acne! I used this every night when I had breakouts and it’s the truth! PureHeals - Propolis Sleeping Pack This the last step I use during the night. It’s packed with great ingredients! I have post showing how it cleared my acne overnight😭 I treat my acne mostly at night because I also love my hyperpigmentation products. I found that mixing salicylic acid and retinol has worked for me tremendously, but I don’t mix any salicylic acid with Differin (since it’s so strong). What products do you put in your routine ? ✨✨

Murad Clarifying Toner
After trying any other toner there is no comparison to this clarifying toner that leaves my face feeling tingly after every use. It gets deep in my pores even after cleansing to rid of any impurities left behind. It is the best second step to my facial routine to leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed. #freshface #toner #clarify

Skin Update ✨✨
Okay this is a totally non filtered sun photo of my skin. Still working on minor texture this is due to my new skin routine (I posted about my morning and will post my night). I try and show my skin with new routines and products I use because I get so many ! The number one thing I will say is be consistent! I saw a post from @MelaninSkinCareAddict(great post you should go check it out) and I loved it and it inspired me to show results from some advice she saw. My last skin update was 12/22 which I showed a unfiltered close up of my skin and the breakout I had endure out of the states! I will say for texture, hyperpigmentation, and acne you need: effective vitamin C serum- should have vitamin E (tocopherol), hyaluronic acid, and Ferulic acid insta natural - Vitamin C Serum Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum retinol- DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel is my first go to, but now I use The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask (I use this on nights I don’t use The Ordinary retinol oil .. 2xs a week) cleanser made for you skin: should be tailored and effective my current faves: Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (2x week) COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (only when I oil cleanse) (3xs a weeks when I wear my night mask) PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser (mostly for nights) toner: a great toner will be your friend! This is important for removing dirts and oils. If you wear makeup this is a necessity. PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner Murad - Clarifying Toner innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion sunscreen: at least spf30 TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ELEMIS - Daily Defence Shield SPF30 moisturizer: a great moisturizer is your friend! So my faves fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer at night SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream during the day for hyperpigmentation before sunscreen ✨✨✨✨ Other things I love that have helped COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence I use this day and night after my toner. If you neee hydration this is my current go to! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I now use this on days I don’t use my vitamin C in the morning. PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum This has replaced my niacinamide from The Ordinary. If you want glass skin use this consistently! CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask I use this as my daily face mask once a week. I will be posting my detailed night routine soon as I’m redoing my entire on IG 🥰🥰

Another Amazing Acne Toner 🤩
I’m going to be posting a lot of Christmas themed stuff because I feel so behind 😭 THANKS @cheriefor this AMAZING GIFT ! Y’all know a love a great toner! I also have been getting more into Murad 💚 My acne showed off in Korea (definitely due to the difference of air quality) so when I got back I couldn’t wait to get back into my skincare routine. I used this toner twice since I’ve gotten it and ... Murad - Clarifying Toner Is AMAZING .. I used it during my morning routine and it works wonders! Ingredients: Witch Hazel: witch hazel is not as bad as people seem! Especially when formulated right! Algae Extract: reduces shine and oiliness Grapeseed extract: helps to reduce free radical damage Vitamin E: great for fine lines and skin nourishment Okay! So my skin has been leaning towards more oily since I got back from Korea. ✨I do not use anything with witch hazel on my dry areas So I only used this on my forehead, nose, & jawline! 🤞🏾Initial thoughts/results This has a cooling sensation. I’m not sure of anyone else experienced this? It also was slightly drying, but I don’t really to much worry about this since I have serums that replenish moisture! It didn’t have a smell and more pores do seem less noticeable! Please be aware that Murad sales their products in SYSTEMS! If you are looking for a good regimen that will give better results I suggest buying their entire system before giving full judgment!
my night time skin care routine 🌜✨
hey guys! so i’ve been wanting to write about my night time skin care routine for a while now because i’m just obsessed with skincare lol. so this is my skin care routine, nothing CRAZZZY , it’s pretty simple and I use affordable products! 1. okay so firstly i remove any makeup that i might have been wearing that day using the reusable cloths that are good for the environment (and trust me.. they actually work!) but, if i wasn’t wearing any makeup that day then i skip this step and move on. VENICS - Makeup Removing Cloth Duo 2. next, i cleanse my face using Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser. i absolutely loveeee this product because it is very gentle and has no perfumes (which can be damaging to the skin). this cleanser is very basic and can be found at literally any drugstore ever. when i cleanse my face, i make sure to be very gentle and use warm water to open up my pores a bit. 3. after i cleanse my face it’s time for toner! this just helps to remove any excess dirt, traces of oil, and makeup. it also can correct and balance the pH level of your skin and helps control acne! i am acne prone so the toner that i use is good for my acne Murad - Clarifying Toner. but, this can get expensive over time (around $25) so if i ever want to buy a cheaper version of this... i buy THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Mistwhich is cheaper! (always make sure to get your products alcohol free!!!!) 4. nowww i use an acne serum The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalanewhich works very well for my acne spots! 5. lastly, i use a moisturizer Cetaphil - Cetaphil Facial Night Creamwhich is very gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling healthy and refreshed! (and sometimes if i’m really feeling like going the extra step with my skincare, i’ll use VITAMASQUES - Jade Rollerto roll on my moisturizer). okay... that’s my night time skin care routine!! written out it looks really lengthy and drawn out but i promise this takes me about 5 minutes and it’s super simple!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
