DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil
I really love the idea of oils as cleansers because you know oil dissolves oil. But not oils are created equals, cleansing oils in particular usually contain an oil base, along with a traditional skin-cleansing ingredient called a surfactant, which helps bind dirt on the skin and remove it without disrupting the skin barrier. This DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is even packed with good-for-you ingredients that will actively nourish skin while giving a deep clean. This product uses olive oil and rosemary oil as its primary ingredients which are rich in vitamin E. And unlike makeup removing wipes or even micellar waters, this cleansing oil is formulated without parabens, colorans, or added fragrances, so it's really gentle on the skin. I apply the cleansing oil on my dry face, then massage the oil on my face for at least a minute and end with the eyes and lips. I promise it will get rid of every last trace of waterproof mascara and foundation. The texture is very velvet-like, it feels like a real treat. The result is a clean and calm skin, without leaving the skin greasy. So it's perfect to use for oily skin type like me. And did you know that the DHC Lip Cream is considered one of the best selling cosmetics in Japan? After I tried it, I have to admit this Lip Cream feels so good on my lips. Enriched with olive oil, squalane and aloe vera, it feels lightweight but truly soften my lips (literally like baby lips!). It also offers an instant and long-lasting hydration and won't disrupt your lipstick if you prefer to wear it under. Plus, it's also fragrance-free ams stain-free!

Completely erase your deep wrinkles with this
I have struggled with harsh lines since my 20’s. The furrow line in my forehead is so pronounced I didn’t believe there was a skincare solution. I’ve switched my nighttime and daytime routine around three times since I started Cherie because of the knowledge I’ve gained from Cherie members and board certified dermatologist Dr.Dray. Here is what I do; Morning Routine 💙I rinse my face with water - DO NOT CLEANSE (I have an article on my page as to why you should not cleanse in the morning please check it out) 💜 AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) this product makes your skin smooth and brighten and it actually preps the skin to allow better absorption of the next product 💛Vitamin C serum is applied, vitamin c helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines 💚hyaluronic acid it plumps my skin up 🧡neutrogena hydro boost with spf 50. This is a water gel lotion with hyaluronic acid 🤍I finish with Avene moisturizing protecting lotion, this lotion I swear by it. It doesn’t claim to reduce fine lines but as soon as I put it on all my forehead wrinkles smooth right out. ➡️sometimes I add Vaseline to the sensitive areas of my face if I’m staying home the under eye where crows feet are and the furrow in my forehead. Doing this protects the skin barrier because it locks in the moisture from your products and slows down their absorption rate which means you benefit more from them. Nighttime routine 💛oil based cleanser. Oil based cleansers break up makeup, sunscreen and sebum more efficiently than regular gel cleansers 💙gel based cleanser next, it completely cleans the face from any left over oil cleanser ♥️ toner maybe twice - three times a week but not everyday as it’s winter the air is dry, toner can be even more drying 💚Retinoid serum comes next, but the face should be dry. 🧡Niacinamide to reduce the appearance of pores and fine line. 💜Vitamin E at the end of the day helps your skin barrier restore itself from the pollutants and uva and uvb exposure 🤎moisturizer is second to last on my routine, 💖last but not least in fact one of the most important things is SLUGGING! petroleum jelly is smeared on my face focused on the underlines where crows feet show, the furrow on my forehead - I don’t do my neck. I explained up above why this benefits you. ❇️so after 1 month of doing this my wrinkles have erased and my pores look great❇️ Fourth Ray - Reveal 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Serum TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum Fourth Ray - Hyaluronic Hydra Duo Skincare Kit Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 Avene moisturizing cream DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil Fourth Ray - Remedy 10% Niacinamide Serum Vitamin E from TrueSkin Avene moisturizing cream Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original

The correct order to apply your skincare
What is the correct order to apply your skincare products? This is one of the questions I get asked the most. With so many products out there, layering your skincare can seem really overwhelming. A general rule to follow is layer your products from thinnest to thickest, and apply your highest percentages of active ingredient products first for maximum absorption. 1. Cleanse- It obvious cleansing is the first step, but it’s important to understand your nighttime double cleanse. In the morning you will want to use a gentle cleanser which will not strip your skin of natural oils. At night, start with the creamy/oil cleanser first. This should be applied to dry skin so the rich texture is able to get your makeup and sunscreen off. Follow with a water based cleanser to get your skin super clean. Some favorites are: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 2. Masks- Your treatment masks should always be applied to clean skin. A creamy hydrating mask for dry skin, a clay mask for extremely oily skin, or an exfoliating mask like The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to solve most skincare issues or just to maintain glowing skin. 3.Toners/Essences- The first of your leave- on skincare. This step is optional. Some swear by it and some skip on it. I absolutely love it and cannot skip this step. I have dry skin and when I apply my essence it feels like quenching my skin’s thirst. It also gives you damp skin for better product absorption for future steps. - Current favorites: BYROE - Bitter Green Essence Toner 4. Serums and Actives- You will want to apply the products with the highest concentration of active ingredients first. This way they are closest to the skin, and absorbed first. In the morning I apply my holy grail vitamin C first. SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum this is also the thinnest of my serums. You want to try your best to go from thinnest to thickest consistency. In the evening, you want to apply your chemical exfoliant (1-2 times a week) followed by the rest of your serums by consistency. 5. Eye Cream- I like to apply my eye cream before my moisturizer to ensure absorption. Depending on your needs and concerns some of my favorite eye creams consist of GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask perfect for dark circles, wrinkles and fine lines. 6. Moisturizer- It’s now time to layer on your cream- based products. Here you will also layer in order of consistency. Start with your gel- based cream and top off with your thickest moisturizer. Top it all off with your 7. Face Oil to seal your products in and in the AM with your SPF, the most important step to skincare.

Battle of the Oil Cleansers 🔥🥇🥈🥉
So you know the deal, if you wear sunscreen (which we all do, RIGHT 👀) then you need to be double cleansing at night to get rid of buildup and clean your skin. Since I’ve started double cleansing, my skin has really been more receptive to my nighttime treatments, serums and moisturizers because there isn’t an oily film preventing absorption. Fair warning when I started oil cleansing I went through a 2-3 week purging period where my skin broke out from all the gunk being pulled out. These are my top 3 cleansers for step 1 of double cleansing, let me know what your favs are! VERA BOTANICS - VERA BOTANICS Oil Cleanser and Makeup Remover I love love love this oil cleanser, it is super light weight and emulsifys so nicely! It only has 4 ingredients and takes off a days makeup like a charm. Because it is so light, I find myself using way less than normal oil cleansers because it spreads easily. This product is only 9-12 dollars, depending which vendor you are buying from and when. One bottle will last me about 2 months cleansing 1x a day! BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Purifying This is a cult fav, so I had to try it. While I really appreciate the easy emulsification, the initial application feels a bit weird to me and has the consistency of hardened coconut oil that you have to melt. While I really like this one for removing heavy makeup, I don’t run to it when just double cleansing off sunscreen for the day. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil Ahhh a classic and popular pick, its true DHC is that girl! Easy, classic, olive oil based for all skin types, and no fragrance. I like DHC, it has all the whistle and bells for a great oil cleanser, however I only have this size thanks to Costco and wince at the normal price. I would recommend DHC for more sensitive/dry skin types because this is the creme de la creme of oil cleansers and is one of the OG legit formulations.

How I Cleanse My Combination Skin
Is there a better feeling than a freshly cleansed and moisturized face in the morning? I have to do my routine as soon as I wake up or my whole day is thrown off balance. As a little disclaimer, I’ve ALWAYS had trouble skin. Acne since I was 16... Redness since I was, like, born... so I’ve found the best products that work for me are gentle, yet effect. Here’s a routine that I’ve always stuck by, thanks to gentle, calming effects on my skin! Step 1: DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil This is a holy grail! Everyone in the beauty world has the same great things to say about it too. It’s gentle and effective at cleaning my skin and ridding it of the leftover products I used the night before. Step 2: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser This is one of my favorite skincare brands because it’s so gentle! (It also makes me feel fancy because of the French name lol.. but the price is affordable!) It’s creamy and a good second step for your double cleanse. Step 3: #Pixi - Glow O2 Oxygen Mask[products]#[FiveStars] This step is optional and I only do it when I feel like my skin needs a lil extra love. Lather this baby on and in seconds it starts to foam up (so cool!). After a couple of minutes, I rinse it off and my skin feels amazingly smooth and clean. Step 4: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Aromatherapy Water Rose Petals This is honestly my favorite step because it makes me feel so refreshed and relaxed. It feels cool on the skin too! I spray it all over my face (you can never spray too much of this stuff btw) and let it seep in and dry. That’s it! Then I follow with my fave moisturizer, depending on how my skin is feeling that day. All of these products are so gentle and soothing! Now I’m no dermatologist, but I feel like they’d do wonders for any skin type. What are some of your holy grails? I’d love to know! 💜
