What Else You Need to KnowI suffered from acne as a teenager...having acne was very emotional for me, and I can identify with my patients who feel their acne is never-ending. I also understand the frustration of using harsh acne ingredients that leave behind dryness, irritation, and redness. In addition to formulating Clarifying Cleanser with two types of salicylic acid that treat immediately and over time, I selected the most soothing, calming ingredients to counteract dryness and irritation."—Howard Murad, M.D., FAAD This product is cruelty-free and formulated without gluten.

Products for acne prone skin!
Products for acne prone skin!
🌻My skin type/concerns- I have very dry skin in the winter and a normal skin type during the summer! Occasionally I will get bad acne throughout the year, I also have bad redness and hyperpigmentation, and pores! 🌻this review is for products I have tried to reduce my acne! ✅worked ❌didn’t work 🌻Product list: ✅Murad acne cleanser- I discovered this cleanser about 8 months ago and fell in love! I love using this cleanser in the morning and night because it does a great job at clearing my acne and getting rid of my hyperpigmentation! it is amazing at reducing the acne I get on my skin! I see a huge difference from before and after I use this! It’s amazing ingredients is everything that helps with my acne! ✅drunk elephant c firma serum- I discovered this serum from a friend recommending this to me after trying it and telling me how much it helped clear her acne prone skin ! I have been using this for about 6 months! I always use this at night and morning because I know when I wake up my acne looks super reduced and my skin is very soothed for when I start the day! I always use this first in my skin care routine! The amazing ingredients help so much with my acne! ✅Kate Somerville exfoliating treatment- I saw this all over social media when it came out, and when I saw some reviews for it I knew it would be perfect for my skin and I immediately bought it! I have been using this for about 6 months! I also only use this at night and whenever I use it before bed I see the biggest difference in my acne when I wake up! I use this right after I cleanse my face! The very thick consistency of this is super helpful before going to bed because I know I will wake up with super moisturized skin and my acne will be gone! ❌indie lee cleanser- I found this cleanser from a family member recommending it to me, and saying how much it helped with her acne! I saw the pricy price tag but I still went for it! I used it for a couple months of the summer, and it was perfect for my summer skin type! This has not really helped my acne, it is a great product for my dry skin, but it did not help my acne! I saw no difference when I used this at night and when I would wake up nothing changed! I used this right before using toner!Murad - Clarifying Cleanser DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment INDIE LEE - Purifying Face Wash

*also a product I’m thankful for!!* The what: ~This is the Murad clarifying cleanser from the acne control line. This product is available at online retailers, Ulta, and Sephora. The details: ~This cleanser contains 1.5% salicylic acid. What’s cool about this cleanser is that there’s two forms of salicylic acid! One to treat active blemishes and another to continue treating even after you’ve rinsed your face after using. This cleanser aims to clean out your pores, dissolve excess oil, treat active blemishes, and help prevent new ones from forming. This cleanser also contains green tea extract to soothe your skin and gradually improve its overall appearance. This cleanser can be used AM or PM and is best suited for oily and combination skin, and is sensitive skin friendly. My thoughts: ~I enjoy this cleanser! I was missing a salicylic acid cleanser in my routine because I used up a different one a while ago. I’ve been using this for a month and a little goes a long way! It lathers nicely and washes off clean without leaving any residue behind or stripping my skin. The only thing I don’t care for is the scent. It has a strange...clean-type scent that doesn’t appeal to me, but is not a deal-breaker. My face has been relatively clear since beginning use, and I’ve noticed that when I do get a pesky blemish, the blemish heals faster. Once this is empty, I plan to repurchase. The price: $10 for 2oz/$30 for 6.75oz. Mine came in an Ipsy subscription, which I pay for. 4.5/5 🌟

the ONE thing that my dermatologist says...
the ONE thing that my dermatologist says...
... it to go to a dermatologist if you have skin problems! and BE PATIENT. ✨ A licensed professional like a dermatologist, esthetician, or aesthetician is the best person to go to if you’re stuggling with acne or skin problems. Don’t trust every brand that touts clear skin products, particularly Clean and Clear and St. Ives. boo them. ✨ Me? I am oily and acne prone, and used to have a ton of nodules and deep set blemishes. It has taken years to get to the skin i have now. i learned the hard way not to scrub and dry out my skin. ✨ the product in my picture is Adapalene 0.3% which is prescription only. You can buy a weaker version called DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel that does the same thing. Adapalene is a type of retinoid that encourages skin cell turnover, helping both scars and active scne. ✨ I also currently use SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear Skin Days by Clarifying Serum Murad - Clarifying Cleanser

🍃 sustainable ♻️ skincare 🌎
🍃 sustainable ♻️ skincare 🌎
🍃 my skin: oily and acne prone 🌎 my ethos: living a sustainable lifestyle is so important. im an oceanography student and an environmentally conscious person. I try to not use single use plastic and actively buy from environmentally responsible companies. ♻️ My tips 1) BUY LOCAL. Shipping has a huge environmental cost, from international cargo ships, to jet fuel and truck emissions. Walk or drive to your nearest Ulta, Sephora, or CVS if you can. Doing this can offset SO much! 2) BUY REUSABLE. and reuse your products! Just say no to any single use item (cotton ball, cotton swab, face wipe) and get reusable wipes like MakeUp Eraser - Original Pink There are also SO many reusable cotton pads out there! Buy products that have reusable bottles like THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum I have been refilling this bottle with facewash for travel! 3) BUY BIG. a large size of any product lasts longer and uses less plastic than two or three minis. Plus the cost per oz is usually less than buying a mini. save $, save plastic. Murad - Clarifying Cleanserhas 6.75 oz for only $32, and will last for months 4) BUY GLASS. I save my droppers and glass bottles to store other products in. Brands like herbivore and youth to the people use glass only! HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial and ISLE OF PARADISE - Self Tanning Drops are both glass and reusable!

LANCER - The Method: Nourish For Sensitive Skin Moisturizer I love this nourish moisturizer, I helps with keeping my skin hydrated and firm! BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 ( You Don’t have to be a black girl for this sunblock!) anyone can use it. Choose one you like. Just be sure to wear it! This is why I went back to school to be a Licensed esthetician to learn all about skin. Due to my acne prone skin as I grew up. Unfortunately, as we grow into a young woman there are many factors when breaking out. Some of the advise I will give you is not a dyignose. It’s simply a few suggestions to help you. I would first ask you what are you ingesting? /eating? There could be something that causing you internally to have breakouts. I would suggest finding a certified and licensed hormonist/Nutrionist, or an Allergist in your area, who can take blood to first see if there is something you could be allergic to. Or take a journal of thr food you could be eating to see when the breakouts occur. This way you can limit the foods that causes these acne prone Accuracies that you might be happening. Also, with hormones you could be experiencing changes with too much extregen or not enough or what ever your doctor sees in your bloom that’s happening with your body. I had mine checked, and I was producing to much estrogen. Which was causing me to break out. That’s just me. The right doctor will help you. Second (2nd), ans in the meantime to help the topical part of your skin until you’re healed internally. Get a AHA/BHA Exfoliating cleanser. This will help with drying up any oily prone skin and acne. AHA/BHA with A blend of Salicylic, lactic, and Glycolic acids helps deep clean oil and dry up acne, but will also help polish dull dry skin without irritation. Which includes enZymes that will help nourish your under layer of skin. Which you mentioned your skin gets dry. It will help it. Also, please stop using the witch hazel. That’s not helping you. This cleanser will help with cell turnover for new skin. It will cleanse any pull impurities out of your skin and will help polish off dead skin. And reduce acne. Do this about 1-2 days a week. The Murad “age Reform” is great for this acne prone skin. Third (3), maybe use a clay mask to help bring up impurities out of the deeper layer of skin. And then a great toner to help bring your skins PH back to balance. I also suggest getting a great Vitamin C serum. This will help with brightening your skin and rebuilding new cells to produce new skin as it pushes up to the top layer of your skin. This should be in your regime daily. I love the Sonage Vitamin C. Then I suggest Either Pink Elephant, or Dermotoligica. They don’t have harsh chemicals. Which from my experience I love using these products on myself. And lastly, then try a great Moisturizer, such as Dr. lancer “Nourish”. Which will help bring back luster and hydration back to your skin without being greasy. End with a sunblock to be sure to protect all of your efforts. Sunblock will also protect your from the sun rays. This sunblock is mandatory. In this process of products a great way to remember the steps in product application is to go from thin water base products to thin for better product penetration into the skin. That has helped me over the years. No matter what! Now some of these products can be a bit pricey. ( it’s all subjective) However, they do have a bit more ingredients in them to help with product results and product penetration. Again, these are only suggestions. You can do whatever you choose. I’m glad that you asked me for help. I’m sure you will see results over the next month or two. If you need anymore help, please reach out to me. I would love to help you more. Try this in the meantime, I’ll try to list all the products I suggested and please keep me updated. Good luck! You will be fine with all the great suggestions. Take what you can use and execute! #Cheriecreater #CheriebeautyExpert @DLashes

Acne Products!! (My Personal Dynamic Duo🤞🏻)
Acne Control Clarifying Cleanser 1.5% Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment: I’ve been using this cleanser since January and I can definitely say that it has made a difference! I bought this cleanser just because I needed something new for my skin. After a month of using it, I noticed a difference in my hormonal acne and the milia I had around my forehead and cheeks. The best part is that this cleanser contains my fav ingredient, salicylic acid! Salicylic acid penetrates deep into the pores to clear up acne and further prevent new breakouts. This cleanser also contains cooling ingredients such as menthol and green tea! Hydration AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser: This is me being real, and the truth is I did not start properly exfoliating my skin up until last year. I had no idea what I was doing and I was being way too harsh with my skin. I was insecure about my acne so I thought exfoliating everyday would make it go away faster, but instead it made it so much more worse. (Only if we could all magically wake up with perfect skin over night lol!) Until, the lovely lady at Sephora introduced me to this product. It is a chemical exfoliate which is great for removing built up dirt and dead skin. I started off by using it once a week, now I use it twice a week (every Sunday and Wednesday). All in all, you do get your money’s worth. Both of these bottles are 200 mL which is a lot of product in my opinion and it lasts FOREVER. Always do your research before trying new products!
