Products From The Same Skincare Line Are Meant To Be Used Together
Having lived in France for a year, I have learned to really take care of my skin. French women are all about the skin and wearing natural makeup looks. They’re not much of a fan of foundation and layers of makeup products to hide the skin. I have adopted this skin philosophy while living there, and since their pharmacies are literally skincare heavens, it wasn’t really hard to find something that will help target my specific skin concerns.   If you follow my skincare reviews here on Cherie, you’ll know that I have a dry combination skin type that is, at the same time, sensitive too. I wasn’t very good at wearing SPF in the previous years; this is why I now suffer from hyperpigmentation. I’ve learned my lesson so now I wear it every day even if I don’t go out.   It’s pretty clear that skincare labels develop a line with multiple products in it to be used together. So it is just logical that these 2 products from La Roche-Posay’s Pigmentclar line work together. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pigmentclar Serum Visible Dark Spot Reducer I use this serum during daytime after my usual cleanse, tone, and essence steps. It has a very light consistency, more like a gel type of formula so it’s perfect for humid weather. The first time I used it, I felt a slight tingling sensation on my cheeks, but it didn’t cause any irritation in the form of redness on my face. It’s normal for me to feel this especially during the first time of using a new product as my skin is extremely sensitive so it takes a tiny bit of time to get used to products I introduce in my routine.   La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Daily Moisturizer I top the serum off with this moisturizer in the Pigmentclar line, then finish the routine with a lightweight SPF 50 sunscreen.   I noticed that my skin has slightly brightened after about a month of using this product. It has literally turned my face a bit on the paler side. I have natural olive skin undertone, but I do get a bit pale when I don’t get much sun. I can still see a bit of redness on both sides of my nostrils though and a bit on my cheeks. I think these products are good for overall brightening, and not to specifically target redness on certain facial areas.

Eye creams 👀and looking for recommendations
Eye creams 👀and looking for recommendations
My under eye area has always been a concern for my. Even though I am only 25 I have puffiness and a slightly purple color on my under eye area. This is a mix of genetics ( my parents have notorious eye bags ) and my skin colour ( you can even see some of my veins if you come really close to my face haha). Obviously this problem gets worse if I don’t sleep well so I ended up looking tired almost every day. So far I’ve tried some eye creams but I didn’t notice any change or improvement. Around two years ago I decided to give Pigmentclar Eye cream from La Roche Posay and use it for almost 9 months ( but not every day to be honest ). This products claims to reduce /brighten blue - brown circles, improve circulation and improve the appearance of your under eye area. It has caffeine, ferulic acid, glycerine and a lot of other ingredients. Here are my thoughts: Results: none considerable change, I couldn’t notice a big improvement in the color of my under eye area and it slightly peeled my skin in that area. This was a major problem for me because it made it imposible to wear concealer due to the uneven texture of my skin there. Probably some if its ingredients are suppose to give a gentle exfoliation which I didn’t know at that time, now I know better and read the list of ingredients , search for reviews and ask to an expert before trying something new. If you have a more mature skin, not sensitive in that area I will recommend you this product but maybe start with a couple of times a week to see what you can take. Texture and packing: this is the part that I loved it. The applicator deserves five stars for me because of its metal cold applicator. For me this is the best type of applicators for eye creams because it keeps the product clean and it calms the area. I still keep it in my fridge and use it to calm the puffiness. I don’t use the cream any more but I use the applicator to massage. (I couldn’t tag the aye cream but here is a product of the same line) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pigmentclar Serum Visible Dark Spot Reducer First impressions on CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream: I am trying the Light version , not the rich! I’ve been using this cream only for two weeks so I can’t talk about results yet. I like the texture, it is light but it hydrates at the same time, I can’t feel any smell and it’s gentle for that sensitive area. You can apply concealer after and it looks decent (obviously is not the same as applying a primer ) What I really dislike is the presentation, it comes in a small jar ( 15 ml or 30 ml) which for me is the most inconvenient presentation for skincare products because it can easily contaminate and it takes more tome to apply. But everyone has their preferences. So far I don’t think I will be buying it again when I finish this bottle so I would love to read some recommendations for eye creams or your experience with this ones🍀

Niacinamide Serum: The Ordinary vs. La Roche-Posay
Niacinamide Serum: The Ordinary vs. La Roche-Posay
As introduced, niacinamide is to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface. I have used two niacinamide serums and here are my opinions towards each of them. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Active ingredients: 10% niacinamide, 1% zinc I'm sure everyone knows about this product. It's famous for being really affordable, but I don't like how it feels on my face. My face feels sticky after applying it and it balls up if you use a bit too much of it, affecting the absorption of all subsequent skincare products. But it is really cheap! So you can mix it with any of your other lotions or creams and just apply it all over your arms and neck. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pigmentclar Serum Visible Dark Spot Reducer Active ingredients: niacinamide, salicylic acid, and ferulic acid It has less fluidity compared with other products in glasses packages. It's light yellow in color and has a creamy texture. It doesn't smell very nice, but it feels pretty good on my skin. It blends effortlessly and is absorbed easily so the subsequent moisturizing products work well on my face. Because it's made with composite ingredients, it not only lightens the skin and its dark spots, but also revives my skin after using it for quite some time. I can clearly see my skin glowing after using it for monthes. This product is not cheap, but in terms of its quality and effect, it's still worth trying!

WOW 1 application and I can see visible results!
WOW 1 application and I can see visible results!
Took the dive and purchase this pigmentclar serum to reduce the dark spots and uneven skin tone. My skin was really red and skin surface was bumpy. On the first application I felt a lot of tingling feeling around my T zones. Once the serum dried I applied a moisturiser. By morning my skin looked super smooth and soft. Will provide a 1 month photo to see the final results of using this product. But so far I’m impressed!
