Jeffree Star Blue Blood Dupes.
Jeffree Star Blue Blood Dupes... still in progress! Okay so let's get my disclaimer out of the way... not only would it cost a lot more to buy 18 single shadows (in this case $88), it would also be a pain in the ass. If you like every shade in the palette and have nothing similar in your current collection then by all means buy the damn palette! However I think that most makeup lovers already own similar neutrals so they're just mostly after some of the blues. Also there's a lot of people that can't afford a $52 palette but might want to get a few of the shades that they like best. Disclaimer over. Moving on. So as you can see, there's still a few shades that aren't quite right but I'm getting close guys! I'm having a bitch of a time because 1. It's a very unique palette and 2. I don't have a lot of blue eyeshadow. But I'm anal af about what I'll consider to be a dupe so I've got some more searching to do. I'm going to order a few things from inglot and search etsy for some indie brands and once I'm satisfied, I'll do swatches!

Get the look: Letter cutout makeup art!
Get the look: Letter cutout makeup art!
This look is simple, bright, and gets your point across! To try it for yourself, all you need to do is follow these steps: 1. Cut out the letters/numbers you want to use on printer paper. 2. After applying your preferred base makeup (my favorite is the COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer ), prime where you want the letters to go. I used the PLOUISE - Base Shade 3. Using whatever eyeshadow colors you want, hold the letters up to your face and gently pack eyeshadow in around the edges. I used the shade “You’re Kidding” from the MORPHE - The James Charles Palette and the shade “Blue Blood” from the JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Blue Blood Eyeshadow Palette 4. Clean up the edges of the letters with concealer on a small detail brush, blend eyeshadow outward, and add crystals of course! I always use DUO - CLEAR lash adhesive to glue anything on my face. 5. Finish it off with a spritz of fixing spray ( I love NYX - Bare With Me Multitasking Spray ), and your look is complete👏🏼 And don’t forget to register to VOTE in November!

This is such a fun and cute look to create! Start off with a pastel base using a pastel pink and light blue (I chose colours which reminded me of the sky!) and the get a small definer brush and start drawing small petals using either a white concealer or a white liner. To top it off add gems in the middle of the petals to bring your flowers to life ( you can find them on amazon for super cheap prices!) ☀️7 Popular Makeup Myths Debunked! Swipe Right to Know
☀️7 Popular Makeup Myths Debunked! Swipe Right to Know
I'm obsessed with makeup and have been watching LOTS of beauty gurus' videos on Youtube providing numerous makeup tips and tricks. Having tried a lot, I found the majority of them are no more but eye-catching myths! 😭 To avoid you from wasting your time on these unhelpful tips, I've listed six common makeup misconceptions that I bet you have heard a million times below: Myth: Choose a foundation that matches your wrist Fact: Your skin color differs everywhere. Instead of matching your foundation to the wrist, look at your jawline. This is because your skin color differs everywhere, and your body shade normally can be darker than your face. Therefore, if the foundation color matches your jawline, then congrats! You get your best shade! Myth: Lip plumper can treat thin lips Fact: I know how crazy people are about increasing their lips now, but lip plumpers are not the key. Lip plumpers contain ingredients like hot pepper, cinnamon, menthol and caffeine, irritating your lips to create a swollen effect, but this effect can merely last for a short period of time. The only solution for thinner lips is lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid fillers, so don't expect lip plumpers can work as a permanent lip plumping treatment. Myth: Eyeshadow can't match your eye color Fact: While applying eyeshadow colors contrasting to your eye color can enhance your eyes, but matching hues can also create a gorgeous look. For instance, I have blue eyes, but I like to wear JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Blue Blood Eyeshadow Palette, which enhances my natural eye color and makes my overall makeup look more harmonic. Myth: Concealer goes before the foundation Fact: Fancy having a natural-looking makeup look? Then I recommend you to apply your foundation first, followed by a lightweight concealer such as NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer to hide the skin imperfections. Otherwise, you just end up smearing your makeup because of frequent rubbing. Myth: Throw away the mascara if it dries Fact: The longevity for mascara is usually 8 months. No kidding, just 8 months! After that, it will expire, and you should throw it right away, but if your mascara dries before that, you can fix it by adding a drop or two of baby oils to your mascara tube. Myth: Setting sprays for dry skin while setting powders for oily skin Fact: Although setting sprays are mostly hydrating and setting powders usually leave a matte finish, it doesn't mean that people with dry skin can only use hydrating facial sprays. There're hydrating setting powders to help, for example, BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powderr, made with 50% water and glycerin, moisturizes your skin and leaving a dewy finish. Myth: Concealer should be lighter than foundation Fact: You should always carefully match your concealer to your skin tone, just like you do with your foundation. As for under-eye concealers, it's suggested to go for a concealer that's one to two shades lighter than your skin as you want to cover your dark circles. However, when it comes to your face, lighter concealers make your imperfections stand out especially if your skin has a pink or olive tone, go for a concealer that'll match up. Hope my sharings can stop people from being fooled by these makeup "tips" or "rules"! Which makeup "tip" that you found useless? Debunk it below!

I’m Blue.
I’m Blue.
I really love the color story. Blue is my absolute favorite color so when Jeffree released this palette I knew I had to grab it. Iv been using it for a long time now and have some great things and a few negative things to say. First off I love that there are options outside of just blue to use. I could create soft and dramatic looks all with one palette. The versatility is very appealing. The shape is revolutionary but also pretty inconvenient. It’s not easy to travel with and doesn’t store easily either. A few of the pans are full pigments and leave the eyelid stained. It’s just something to be aware of and use a primer with this to help with that. Overall I’m impressed and really enjoy using this gorgeous palette.
