My Simple Contour & Highlight Routine
My Simple Contour & Highlight Routine
Here’s my guide to my everyday, wearable contour and highlight routine & what products I use! 1. After applying your favourite foundation take a cream contour stick and apply it to the perimeter of your face in a “3” shape (forehead, hallows of cheeks, and jaw). I also love to contour my nose a little bit to slim it out and shorten it. My favourite contour stick is the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Medium Stick. Its super easy to blend and the shade is perfect for my skin tone. KYLIE COSMETICS - Bronze Medium Bronzer Stick 2. After blending your contour, take a concealer that is about 3 shades lighter than your foundation. Apply it to the areas you’d like to highlight. For me thats under my eyes, temples, tip of my nose, chin, and centre of my forehead. Then blend! This is what really snatches your face! I like the Rare Beauty Concealer shade 170W, its super light weight and extremely brightening. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer 3. Next I like to set the areas that I highlighted with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder in the shade light. This powder is MAGIC! It’s so fine and blurs out fine lines, brightens, and smooths the skin. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder 4. Set the rest of your face with translucent powder, I like the Kylie Cosmetics Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This is going to lock your makeup in place! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Loose Setting Powder 5. I like to go over top the contoured areas with a bronzer to further enhance the contour. My favourite bronzer is the Il Makiage Waka Waka Baked Bronzer. This is the most beautiful, pigmented bronzer I’ve ever used, a little goes a long way! IL MAKIAGE - Mineral Baked Bronzer 6. Now for blush, this is a crucial step in my routine, and surprisingly a big step in any contour routine. Blush adds a little colour back to your face and gives a beautiful healthy look to the skin. The placement of your blush is very important and helps shape your face. I like to place my blush mainly above the contour and drag it out to the apple of my cheeks as well. My favourite blush is the Kylie Cosmetics Pink Dreams Blush. I love a super bright pink cheek! KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Blush 7. Lastly, you can highlight your cheekbones with a glowy highlighter, although I’m not a huge fan of highlighter (I know— weird!!) I prefer a matte face. I only highlight the tip and bridge of my nose to make my nose look more pinched. I use the shade “Boli” from the Carlie Bybel x Anastasia Palette. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette And voila! Your face is snatched!

Charlotte Tilbury’s Setting Powder Can’t Hang?
**I’ve only used this product once so this is my first impression of it I have been an admirer of Charlotte Tilbury’s products for quite some time now and have been dying to try its Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. As its name suggests, it has a reputation of making the skin look airbrushed and free of shine, which I need in my life. More deets about the powder: This breathable, micro-fine powder technology gives you an immaculate complexion that acts like a luxe, micro-fine cashmere veil on top of your skin for a bright, perfecting finish. Rose wax and almond oil hydrate the skin throughout the day and enable the powder to blend on flawlessly, while reducing shine. Nourishing actives work to soothe and restore skin, while light-reflecting ingredients diffuse light as it hits your face for a luminous complexion and even finish all day. The powder costs $45 which i think is a lot so I’ve always been hesitant to try - but I got as a gift for my bday and was so excited to try. I haven’t really found a powder that I truly liked or that has actually kept my makeup locked in/prevented shine. My review: The airbrushed effect is no joke. When I first applied it, I was in awe of how smooth and radiant my skin looked. But as the day progressed, my T-zone got a bit oily and I noticed the product had caked into some dry spots — also does anyone have suggestions for hydrating primers/how to not make my foundation/powder cakey? Since I started using prescription retinol it’s been so hard to figure out!! I have to keep using this product to see how I feel about it. I really want to love it. As anyone tried it?!

My trick for completely covering dark circles!🙈
My trick for completely covering dark circles!🙈
I have always had pretty prominent dark circles due to genetics and no doubt lack of sleep! Through a ton of trial and error I have found a routine and products that work really well for me to cover my dark circles almost completely (I do have slight hallows which makes it look like a dark circle). Surprising I use 4-5 products to achieve this look. •First I use a warm (as in orangey) red lipstick. Yes, lipstick. It counteracts the blueish tones under your eyes. Trust me. This is the step that is a game changer. I use Kosas - Weightless Lip Color but any warm toned red lipstick will work. I mainly focus this on the inner part of my eye where I have the most darkness. (I also use this under my nostrils because I have slight shadowing there). •I next use BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector and it is much lighter and peachier than the lipstick. This is great to use on top of the lipstick to blend together. It is much more emollient and easier to work with. This has light reflecting particles to help brighten the eye even further. •I then use two concealers on top of those. Currently I am using a light shade of DOSE OF COLORS - Meet Your Hue Concealer This concealer is easy to work with. Super creamy and has minimal creasing. I only apply a small dot to my inner eye with this one. •I then use a warmer-more yellow shade (Snow) of Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer on the outer edge of my eye and in the mid part of my cheek (this allows for a brightened inner face and less product under the eye the better). I then use a beauty blender to blend these two completely. Blend up under the eye and out the inner corner as well. •My last step is to set this all down!! My favorite powders to use are laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder Both are great for setting the face. I like to bake with the LM powder since it is a loose powder and it’s easier to use product. Hope this helps. 🥰 #cheriepartner

🤪Glowy natural makeup when I’m late😌 (~10min)
🤪Glowy natural makeup when I’m late😌 (~10min)
SKIN TYPE: Very dry skin, eczema, sensitive and acne-prone all at the same time🙃🙃 Sometimes using prescribed cortisteroid ointments (Novasone) for eczema flare ups or reactions. PRODUCTS USED (in order): Primer I use e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer , it’s so cheap but acts as a nice bond/barrier between skin after skincare routine and applying makeup; it’s so good in preventing drying out my skin but it’s not very hygienic as fluff or dust gets stuck. Usually patting the primer into the skin and waiting a moment for it to melt into the skin. Foundation is a cushion #CHANEL - Vitalumiére Glow[products]#[FourStars] (#21), gives a shine upon application while still looking like natural skin. It’s a light to medium coverage and I find it doesn’t cling to my dry patches. I don’t use concealer most of the time but I do use the powder Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder to set under the eyes, smile lines, nose contour area, chin and forehead. I don’t produce much oil through the day at all but I do sweat and the powder helps set makeup while still looking natural and doesn’t take away the glow too much. For the price though, there might be better cheaper alternatives🥺. Brows I usually use the innisfree - Auto Eyebrow Pencil or the ETUDE - Tint My Brows Gel New +benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel, the tint can last ~2-3 days so it saves time if I’ve already filled in and drawn my brows the night before😂. The only con is that on initial application the tint looks green-ish in the camera. #NARS - Original blush - Orgasm[products]#[FourStars] for the slight golden shimmer enhancing the glow of the cushion foundation, usually building it up for a slightly brighter flush of colour on the cheeks as the colour doesn’t show too much when you first apply it. Highlight usually the FENTY mini Kilowatt highlight in the shade Hustla Baby, it’s a golden sheen that really blends in with my skin tone and not too glittery while also blends in with the NARS blush. If I’m feeling extra then also lightly adding in the FENTY mini Diamond Bomb highlight. Eyeliner is the brownUZ - Eye Opening Liner Usually use various lengthening falsies or innisfree - Skinny Microcara Last but most crucial thing for me is the URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray , it really pulls the whole look together, adding back some shine where I’ve powdered thus making the whole look more natural. Also with the spray I don’t have to worry about the makeup transferring or fading/melting away during the day unless 8+ hours. Lip products include: CHANEL - Rouge Coco Flash Lipstick(#212) #CHANEL - Rouge Allure Laque[products]# romand - Glasting Water Tint 6 Colors FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer FENTY BEAUTY - Diamond Bomb Baby Mini Lip Gloss and Highlighter Set

When it comes to my ~professional~ glam, I like to keep things minimal but still make sure to contour and highlight the appropriate areas – the goal is a soft glow that accentuates your features without looking too much. I think it’s also important to apply powder, especially if you’re like me and have oily skin and are prone to sweat when you get nervous lol. Keeping shine in mind, I like to opt for mattifying complexion products and powder formulas when it comes to bronzer, blush, and highlight - but these days, my favorite bronzers and blushes are cream formulations. For the eyes, I think all you need is a little sweep of mascara and/or liner depending on what you’re into. To really make them pop and elevate your look, I like to go in with a neutral eyeshadow to give the eyes more definition and make myself look more put together. And for the finishing touch, all you need is your favorite lipstick. I feel like any color goes and your glam can be a great way to let your personality shine through. These are the products I use: REVLON - Photoready Candid Glow Moisture Glow Anti-Pollution Foundation MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick – for a natural-looking contour, I like to warm the product up on the back of my hand and then I pick it up from there with an angled bronzer brush. MERLE NORMAN - Cheek Crayon - like with the contour stick, I recommend applying creme blushes to your hand first and picking it up from there. This gives you more control when you apply it and really helps you build it up to that natural-looking flush. I also love to add a little to my eyes to sub in for eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – if you're on the oilier side like me, I've found that you need to apply this powder all over and do so about 2-3 times. It's a little annoying, but it creates such a gorgeous glow that you really look airbrushed and it's totally worth it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter – make sure you dab the excess off or you’ll look ~crazy~ glowy. I learned this the hard way. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick

Glowy Foundation in Less Than 5 Minutes!
Glowy Foundation in Less Than 5 Minutes!
When shopping for foundations, I always look for formulas that enhance the skin and also deliver a little extra hydration and glow. My shade usually falls in the light range and I typically have neutral undertones. My main skincare concerns have always been acne and excess oil, but lately *god willing* my skin hasn’t been breaking out as much and now has more redness than before. In the past, all of my foundations have been medium-to-full coverage in order to sufficiently conceal breakouts and acne scars, but now I’m realizing that I can get away with lightweight formulas. One foundation that I would have never been able to wear during my peak breakout phase that I’m loving now is Revlon’s PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Foundation. This drugstore foundation reminds me of a tinted moisturizer because of how lightweight and moisturizing it is and is designed to enhance the skin while also providing pollution and blue light protection. It’s also oil-free and fragrance-free, making it great for acne prone skin and sensitive skin types. I really like this formula because it is super buildable and does a great job at camouflaging my redness while also boosting radiance. Since I’m prone to oiliness, I always add a sweep of setting powder to absorb any shine and help keep it in place (it doesn’t really hang all day on its own). To make sure that it doesn’t look caked on, I like to only apply it with a fluffy foundation brush where I need the coverage and then blend it out from there to make it look seamless. I’ve found that this method of spot coverage gives my skin an airbrushed-like finish and really takes my glam to the next level. If I need more coverage, I’ll go in with some concealer. Steps featured in the video: -Prime the high points with a glowy moisturizer/primer like ELEMIS - Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser -Apply a foundation like REVLON - Photoready Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation to the center of the face (or only where you need coverage) and blend it outwards. -Finish with a sweep of illuminating setting powder like Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder #cheriecreator
