Hyaluronic Acid Booster
Editor's NotesPaula's Choice's 'Hyaluronic Acid Booster' is formulated to moisturize and plump your skin. Lightweight and gel-like in texture, it contains reparative Ceramides that work to smooth and fill in fine lines and wrinkles, while Panthenol keeps moisture sealed in. Use it every day to achieve a youthful glow. - Suitable for all skin types - Free from fragrances

I love Paulas choice as a brand but this product is just straight up overpriced in my opinion. This hyaluronic acid booster has a very light weight gel consistency that absorbs into the skin quickly and honestly reminds me of the drunk elephant serum. This one however is less expensive than the drunk elephant one but still overpriced in my opinion. I do think the one unique thing about this and the drunk elephant one is there gel consistency but I prefer something from the ordinary that is a more serum consistency and comes in at a fraction of the cost for more product. My biggest gripe with this product is that you don’t even get a full ounce around $30 I believe. So I would not recommend thisPAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster solely for the price of the product.

Ingredient Breakdown: Ceramides
Ceramides are a lipid that already exist in the strateum corneum, the outermost layer of skin. In fact, your skin is made up of around 50% ceramides! Ceramides hold together skin cells, preventing moisture loss and retaining firmness. UV damage and pollution destroy the number and quality of the ceramides in your skin, leading to loss of the supple feeling of skin, decreased visible smoothness, as well as increasing the likelihood of sensitivity and irritation. I love using ceramides to address both my sensitivity issues (hey eczema fam!) and for youth-promotion. For sensitivity, it shouldn’t take long to feel and see results like reduced redness and increased smoothness, but aging skin should expect a wait time of months for fine line and firmness improvement. I have combination skin, so I love these three products for adding ceramides to my routine without being too heavy for my oily forehead and nose, but offering the hydration my dry cheeks and eye areas need! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides has been my favourite moisturizer throughout my super oily pre-niacinamide days and my super dry eczema flare-ups. It is fluffy and easily absorbed, but layers easily with extra hydrating and moisturizing serums. PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum should be in every sensitive, aging, or dry skin routine. It is light but packs a serious moisturizing and soothing punch. I also recommend it to oily/combination folks when using exfoliants or retinol, to help reduce the likelihood of irritation! PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster is amazing. Everyone should try this, legitimately. Actual hyaluronic acid plus popular sodium hyaluronate offer light, soothing hydration while cholesterol and ceramide help to retain that hydration without oiliness. It’s perfect for treating skin issues like sensitivity, dehydration, and a damaged skin barrier from overexfoliation or retinol.

✨Retinol Glow✨ PM Routine
This is my ultra moisturizing 💧 retinol night routine. All the results of a gentle retinol PLUS a super hydrating sleep mask glow. ✨ PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster I’m a total fangirl for Paula’s Choice and love 99% of their products. This one just doesn’t give me enough results to repurchase. Any HA serum suggestions? 🙋🏼♀️ Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream I’m in love with this perfect moisturizer. It’s perfect for any skin type and gives my skin a balanced moisturized feeling plus a noticeable bounce and firmness with every use. A dream for combo skin. Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado this is a thick luscious eye cream with a slight green tint that helps with my dark circles! It absorbs nicely, doesn’t creep into my eyes and reallyyyy helps with the fine lines around my eyes. It has the same plumping, bounce factor as the face cream. A staple for am and Pm routines. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask I really love this mask but if you have oily or acne-prone skin, proceed with caution. I would say it’s worth a try because the results are great. Since I have combo skin and a long history of breakouts, I only use this once a week and it won’t break me out. It’s got a rich, buttery texture that melts into a cream, which is why it’s too rich for daily use for me. But when i use it weekly, I wake up with skin so glowy and plump and hydrated, and it almost has this blurring effect on my pores. Which I love because I normally have misbehaving pores. Bottom line: it’s the dreamiest retinol treatment I’ve used, and it’s a perfect retinol choice for dry skin. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping MaskI’m trying this for the first time tonight! I’ll update you with my results! In the future I want to add a ceramide product to this routine to really boost the skin barrier effects and glow factor. ❓Any suggestions you love?!
