Milk Makeup - The Best New Skin-Care Products Launching Now
Milk Makeup has been around since 2016, but Milk Makeup Skincare is an addition to this hot brand. The best fragrance-free totally vegan range that is as good as they say it is. A few months ago Milk Makeup launched the Vegan Milk Moisturizer and after the success of the moisturizer, they have also developed the Vegan Milk Cleanser, both are on the thicker side, great for dry or normal skin or sensitive skin types. I checked out the ingredients, its made with fig milk, which is an antioxidant, shea butter that refreshes, softens and soothes sore skin, oat milk for a calming effect on the skin. That’s not all, argan milk, grapeseed oil, and olive-derived squalane seal in moisture and help provide antioxidant protection. So after cleansing, use a teaspoon (unusual I know) put half a teaspoon of cream on the back of the spoon, smooth side, and work it into your face in a circular motion. The cream glides on and the fact you’ve used a spoon means the cream activates quicker and works fast to plumping up the skin - added bonus and trick I learned from a makeup artist at Sephora. Milk Makeup never includes parabens, sulfates, or mineral oil in its products, the brand believes and promotes what it calls “Clean Beauty” - this means they use alternative and inventive ingredients that are not toxic to us and the environment. So cool. There’s no doubt this is an amazing brand and a great moisturizer but the real reason I love this brand is because of the ethics the company promotes - they believe in good ingredients produced through a culture of cruelty-free and fairtrade, this is a fantastic payoff. With very unique and on-trend packaging, they encourage personal style and experimentation as self-expression, I found them initially on Instagram through the #LiveYourLook - Milk Makeup are now considered a cult beauty brand and all this in an amazingly short time. My girlfriends all use this brand and they all love it. The moisturizer has five stars on all the sites and you can buy it for $21.00 at Sephora.com - take my advice, and you can thank me later!

Why I love Antioxidants - Skin Savers for Busy People
We all have demanding lifestyles. The signs of stress show up on your skin: sun damage, the effects of smoking and drinking alcohol, along with pollution, and combined with harsh exercise. All in all, our skin has a lot to cope with. My job is very full-on; this means I don’t have time or money to waste. Let’s get to the heart of the problem - because of our lifestyle factors free radicals form in our skin, like tiny time bombs that go off to damage healthy skin. We really don’t want these because they harm our proteins, DNA, healthy fats in cells and tissues, making us look old before our time. So the way to fight them off is with antioxidants. Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer Made from desert flower milk, fig milk, argan milk, all-vegan products it’s very nourishing full of antioxidants, and although it has a thick texture this absorbs easily, leaving my skin feeling soft, looking smooth, and feeling nourished. Recommended to those with normal and dry skin, using this made a difference in under two weeks of continual use. As a treat after a stressful week’s work, I bought myself Clarins Orchid Facial Oil. I had heard great things about it, so I tried it. I am so happy with the results I had to tell you about it. Clarins Orchid Facial Oil Made from 100% pure plant extracts full of essential oils, soothing Rosewood, Patchouli, and Blue Orchid extract; amazing properties that will revitalize, hydrate, and tone the skin. Hazelnut oil is used to lock moisture into the skin, leaving my face feeling soft and looking radiant. Now here comes the money shot - only apply to your face after using your moisturizer: it’s so effective. No more tired wrinkly skin in my house Clarins Extra-Firming Wrinkle Control - Anti-ageing night cream So we’ve done day time: but at night I love Clarins extra-firming wrinkle control night cream. Again great for all skin types, but what I really love is that it regenerates my skin while I’m sleeping. I’ve noticed over the last ten days of use that the loss of firmness and elasticity and the dullness has disappeared. I wake up with lovely radiant skin due to its antioxidant properties. It’s important to note that you pat the cream into the skin, instead of rubbing. Doing this stimulates the skin so the cream goes in deeper and the effects the next day are really noticeable.

The Do’s and Don’ts for Oily, Acne Prone Skin
Knowing your skin type and skin condition is the first step to treating it. I personally have dehydrated yet oily acne prone skin. The right type of products in a routine can make a huge difference. *Disclaimer: I love all the products above except the Clinique toner (Dont use this please). I will explain below why things are good or bad for acne. Step 1: Cleanse Do - Use gel cleanser like the FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser . The gel formula will deep cleanse the face without stripping. Don’t - Use a cream cleanser like the GEORGETTE KLINGER - Green Tea Cream Cleanser . This is more geared towards dry skin. It will cleanse and hydrate but won’t give you the deep cleanse oily/acne prone skin needs. Step 2: Treat Do - Use a product with salicylic acid like PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator . Salicylic acid is oil soluble and will dive deep into your pores breaking up any sebum or debris. Don’t - Use something with detnatured alcohol like the CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 3 For Combination Oily Skin . It may feel good at first but the alcohol is stripping your skin and does more harm than good. In the end your face will over compensate for the stripping effect and produce more oil. Step 3: Moisturize Do - Use a gel moisturizer like the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream . I love this because it is free of a lot of skin irritants like fragrance and dyes. The gel formula won’t feel too heavy on the skin but will give you all the hydration benefits you need. Don’t- Use a heavy, cream moisturizer like the Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer . Heavy creams are more geared for dry skin. For oily skin it will just sit on top potentially clogging pores (plus I do believe this has some comedogenic ingredients). These are basic steps I’ve been using for a while to make my skin routine the best is can be for my skin concern. Hellooooo Milk Makeup! I can’t tell you guys how excited and in love I am with this stuff, it’s like they were all made for me! ⠀ ⠀ Matte Bronzer: I love. I love so much. It’s incredible value as this will last forever for a decent price. I was swiping it on my skim and blending out and then switch to going into the product with a brush then the skin and I honestly like both ways. It’s not for contouring as it’s quite warm, but it warms up the face for a sun kissed glow perfectly. It blends perfectly and isn’t super matte. It surprisingly works well over powder! And yes, it does smell like play dough Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer ⠀ ⠀ Flex Foundation: I cannot stop using it. It glides onto the skin and melts and blends in really beautifully with a sponge. When I apply a decent powder on top it stays in place all day, but will separate pretty badly on its own. The colour match is spot on and doesn’t cover up any glow that my skincare and primer provide! I’m not so sure about the skincare benefits, but my acne prone skin tells me that it’s good for those who are sensitive!! I’m going to keep this for travel as it’s so tiny and non liquid. I highly recommend using the hydro grip primer with it too!⠀Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick ⠀ Kush Lash Primer and Mascara: I don’t know how to typically use lash primers, but I’m impressed. It fattens up my lashes really well and gives me the volume I crave. The mascara is lengthening and volumizing too on its own and with the primer. I love how my lashes feel so soft and not stiff with this. It makes removing it literally effortless with an oil cleanser, I don’t get flakes and fallout during the day nor does it smudge. I used the mascara months ago and remember it helping my lashes grow too ⠀Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Lash Primer ⠀ Vegan Milk Moisturizer: love. New holy grail. That’s it. Kidding!! It’s the thickest cream I’ve ever used and it’s so soft and gentle. It feels almost too thick at first but then melts into the skin with some warmth. It’s completely free of irritating ingredients and I have immediate redness reduction and zero tightness when I use this morning or night. It doesn’t pill up over an oil and makes primer and foundation go on very smoothly. Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer

Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer
🥛 Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer 🥛 What is it? A rich, antioxidant packed vegan moisturizer. 🥛 Call Outs: Free Of: Gluten, Parabens, Talc, Silicones, Sulfates, Fragrance, and Alcohol Vegan Cruelty Free 🥛 Who’s it for? Great for anyone with dry skin or anyone who enjoys a richer moisturizer. This product does contain some ingredients that might not be suitable for oily or acne prone skin such as shea butter, stearic acid, and myristil myristate so if these are ingredients that don’t play well with your skin you might want to avoid this one. 🥛 What’s in it? This product contains many nourishing, antioxidant rich ingredients such as argan milk, squalane oil, grapeseed oil, aloe leaf juic, and fig milk that dry or irritated skin types will LOVE. As mentioned above a few of the ingredients may not play well with oily or acne prone skin but everyone is different. Personally I haven’t found this product to make me oily or cause me to break out but I am more on the dry side. 🥛My thoughts? I love this moisturizer. It is the PERFECT texture. It’s definitely a little on the richer side and I imagine this tub will last me a very long time and be in my family for generations. A little goes a long way. Despite being a little on the richer side this product sinks into my skin quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated all day. I’m always a little wary when makeup lines come out with skincare products but Milk snapped with this one. This is fast becoming one of my favorite moisturizers.

Hyped Products: A Hit & A Miss
Hyped Skincare Products.. are they worth it or not? I 100% was influenced by everyone and their mom to get the balm dot coms, which was a regret for me. However, I am already a huge fan of Milk Makeup since they first launched so I was very excited to try this, and purchased instantly. 1. Milk Makeup Moisturizer I don't like seeing this one disliked but that is probably bc I also love almost everything Milk has put out. But for my skin, I find this to be my favorite thing to use in the evenings. It's made up of "Desert Milk" (melon, baobab, jojoba, & aloe vera) to provide deep, but lightweight hydration. Those 4 ingredients thrive in an arid environment. There is also fig milk to soften, soothe & refresh. Oat milk is going to help calm and comfort our skin, while Argan milk is going to help provide antioxidant protection. She's thic but I find she soaks right into my skin! 2. Glossier Balmdotcom These aren’t worth the hype IMO. I don’t find that they keep my lips hydrated at all, it’s more of a thick coat to put over my lips. The formula of Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin does not soak in to my lips well. If I had to pick one it would be the mint because they do tingle and feel refreshed.
