What Else You Need to KnowI love Caudalie's Beauty Elixir. I especially like their little one to keep in my handbag—brilliant for traveling. It has quite a lot of essential oils in it, so what I like to do is spray it on my hands and rub them together, then breathe it in. It just smells so amazing and uplifting. And then, I just pat it on my skin. It freshens your makeup."—Lisa Eldridge, celebrity makeup artist "If your skin still has patches after you apply your foundation, wet your makeup sponge, then spray it with a hydrating treatment like the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and pat it in. Using the same sponge, pat on more foundation if you need more coverage."—Helen Phillips, Sephora Pro Makeup Artist This product is vegan, non-toxic, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, and free of all synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, fillers, gluten, and GMOs. At the top of the Beauty Elixir formula, you will notice a tiny ring of darker colored liquid, which is intentional. This ring is simply the natural, essential oil components of the Beauty Elixir that have separated from the water components due to the lack of chemical emulsifiers found within the product. Simply shake the contents before spraying to combine the components. Your purchase helps the planet. Caudalie donates 1% of sales to plant trees. Merci!

FACIAL MIST SHOWDOWN✨
I’ve always loved facial mists- they’re easy to take on-the-go, perfect for refreshing makeup and prepping the skin! There are so many ways and reasons to use a facial mist and so I have 4 favorites to share; and all with different purposes! ELEMIS - Superfood Kefir-Tea Mist I use this facial spray as a “throughout the day refresher”. The fermented Kefir-Tea helps to soothe and hydrate the skin without disturbing makeup and drying out the skin! It also smells great too. I keep this one by my desk at work to spray whenever I feel like a pick-me-up! MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist Whenever I want my makeup to last and not budge all day, this is the one I always reach for. It truly keeps my makeup in place all day and also helps makeup to blend into my skin and look like skin! It’s also a great formula to use when you want a little more staying power and pigment from your powdered eyeshadows- just spray some on your brush, pick up some color from the pan and apply! CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir This is probably the best feeling facial mist! I love how it’s super refreshing on the skin, smells AMAZING (like a spa!) and leaves my skin looking G.L.O.W.Y. I’ll use this as a facial mist before and after my everyday makeup whenever I want more of a dewy/glowy look. The essential oils in this spray really help to treat the skin and promote a glow that doesn’t look greasy! Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray This is my toning mist. I use it during my toning step of my skincare routine but not everyday. Whenever my skin is looking and feeling a little irritated or dehydrated, this is a facial mist that I’ll add into my routine. The main ingredient is Thermal Spring Water which has properties known for calming irritation and inflammation and hydrating the skin! *Because this is basically all just water in a can, I wouldn’t use this as a “refreshing” spray throughout the day because it can actually dry out the skin more if you don’t follow with a proper moisturizer! The other 3 sprays have some sort of glycerin or moisture-locking ingredient that prevents water loss in the skin over time so they’re fine to apply without following with moisturizer.
ONE-STEP TO GLOWY, GLOSSY SKIN✨
Are you looking for a product that gives perfectly glowy skin without looking like a greaseball? CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir is my personaly secret to looking dewy and fresh! Ingredients: - Green grape to boost radiance and moisturize skin - Peppermint essential oil to tone and awaken skin - Rose essential oil to activate glow - Rosemary essential oil to help inflammation in skin and also act as an anti-bacterial for the skin This facial spray offers a super fine mist that is perfect for prepping the skin before makeup and to set the skin after makeup. In the summer when I naturally get more shiny in the T-zone, I’ll only apply it after I’m done with my makeup. But in the winter when I’m feeling more dry, I’ll apply it before and after makeup. It helps to melt your makeup into the skin, making it look more natural but it also helps to add a glow to the skin that becomes dewier over time!
Holy Grail Product That The Royalty in 16th Century Used!
If you’re new to luxury French skin care brand Caudalie, get acquainted with some of their star products. The brand uses all-natural grape extracts from the regions of Bordeaux, Champagne, and Burgundy, which are packed with antioxidants and compounds to fight early signs of aging. A wonderful and effective product is consider is the brand’s cult product – CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir, an iconic product that will celebrate its 23rd anniversary this year. Story has it that once upon a time, there was a book of spells found on the banks of the Seine, Paris. A recipe was found in it for the youth elixir used by the Queen of Hungary in the 16th century. It is said that she charmed the King of Poland, 35 years her junior, with her radiant complexion. The centuries-old recipe went on to inspire Caudalie to create the Beauty Elixir, a multi-tasking mist (it hydrates, tones, refreshes the skin, and sets make-up) that is paraben-free, vegan and all-natural. Touted as “the ultimate spa in a bottle”, the soothing complexion treatment is suitable for all skin types. It adds a quick shot of radiance to the skin, and helps reduce skin dullness. Infused with toning rosemary, astringent mint, and soothing rose organic essential oil, the mist also prepares your skin for the next steps of your skincare routine. The therapeutic scent from the ingredients also invigorates the skin, and mood throughout the day. I use this in the midst of the day for a quick pick-me-up, and whenever I need to look fresher before Zoom calls. To use: spray on as toner before applying serum and moisturizer, or at any time of the day, for an immediate energizing sensation. You can also apply between your foundation and powder to perfectly set and prolong make-up.
Sorry.. Not For Me!
I have been using a lot of Caudalie’s products for a couple of years now, and I really love the brand. Most of the products are amazing for my oily skin, and have really improved the texture, the dark spots, and my acne. But I hate to say that the CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir is not for me. The beauty elixir is a toner for the skin and is meant to target sensitive, dry, and oily skin types. I got it a month ago as a birthday gift and was quite excited to try it out, because I knew the brand worked for my skin. But I was greatly disappointed in this product. To start off, I didn’t really understand what the product was doing for my skin. I have oily and acne-prone skin, so the product should have worked for me. I just felt that the product was more of a face mist rather than a toner. I didn’t see it helping my acne or reducing dark spots, the only thing it did was refresh my face everytime I sprayed it on. Now that would not have been a bad thing, but the product costs $49! That is far above my budget for a face toner or a face mist- especially one that didn’t work. The mist also has a strong peppermint scent which I do not prefer in my facial mists. I also personally think this product has way too much alcohol to be good for your skin. I found that the alcohol dried my skin out and that caused more sebum production, which is the opposite of what I wanted to happen with this product. So, unfortunately this product just didn’t live up to my expectations. Since I got it as a gift, I have used it occasionally as a pick-me-up when it gets especially hot out, but I do not see myself purchasing this product again.
This Beauty Elixir Is So Much More Than Just A Face Spritz
My relationship with Caudalie began when I moved to France and lived there for a year. It is one of the beauty brands that one can find in French pharmacies. I love that it’s a clean beauty brand, and its products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and other chemicals that might interfere with our hormones, which can lead to various illnesses. It’s a company that truly cares for the environment and for our health by using only natural ingredients. Caudalie also gives a part of its revenue to plant trees. Its cult product, the CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir, has been in my radar for quite some time now as it has always been featured in a number of makeup artists or beauty editors’ makeup bags. I was using it for a number of purposes - as a last step to seal in my makeup after I put on my face; as a facial spritz to keep me feeling fresh all day especially during summer, and to keep oiliness at bay; and as the second step in my skincare routine after the usual cleanse. I love that it has multiple uses, and that it’s so light on the face - perfect for my dry combination skin. Deemed as ‘the secret of makeup artists’, Caudalie Beauty Elixir is an amazing product to set your makeup in place. It seals in the products on your face, and makes your eyeliner and lipstick stay longer. It has 100% natural ingredients, contains essential oils, plus, it’s vegan and cruelty-free. Its potent yet gentle features can be attributed to the mist’s power ingredients - green grape, peppermint essential oil, rose essential oil, rosemary essential oil, musk rose oil, and myrrhe oil. Green grape is packed with vitamin C and is therefore an effective antioxidant, while peppermint essential oil is a powerful natural antibacterial ingredient, therefore it’s good for keeping zits and acne at bay. Rose essential oil is known for its powerful anti-aging and hydrating properties. It also helps in clearing out the skin to get rid of zits and acne. Rosemary essential oil fights free radicals and hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage. It’s nature’s antiseptic, and is a superior disinfectant for treating scalp problems and graying hair. Musk rose oil improves skin elasticity and smoothing wrinkles. It’s a fairly popular ingredient for treating the early signs of skin aging. Myrrhe oil is a natural remedy to combat skin infections and conditions like ringworm and athlete’s foot. It’s a great ingredient for healing wounds and fighting infection-causing microbes. Overall, it’s not just a face mist. With all these natural goodness inside, it makes for a great toner and skincare product to fight signs of premature aging. I loved my bottle to bits! I would purchase again and again!
Omorovicza vs. Caudalie, I'll Say bye👋to...
Recently I bought two popular mists, both of which are also refreshing and moisturizing primers. I'm going to review them. Omorovicza - Queen of Hungary Mist100ml I usually spray it on my face after cleansing and before applying moisturizer, then I'll gently pat it until it's fully absorbed. It can also be used as a moisturizing spray a few hours after makeup application for makeup setting and to moisturize skin. It can be used all year round, but it's more recommended for dry or normal skin. It'd be perfect if it also kept my skin shine-free in summer. If you want to wear makeup, you'd need to use it with other oil-control skincare products, but if you're using it only for moisturizing, this is a mist you can repurchase all year round. CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir100ml For oily or combination-oily skin, spraying this mist before applying makeup and follow-up skin care in summer really helps to keep the skin shine-free for up to 5 hours, which is also why I don't recommend it for dry or normal skin. However, I dislike its smell and the spray head is a little faulty as I'm reaching the end of it. To sum up, I prefer Omorovicza and will definitely repurchase it. If you have different opinions, it may be the reason of different skin types. If you have any suggestions or questions please hmu😝
