My skin has
H y d r a t i o n My skin has been pretty dehydrated recently. If I'm honest, really dehydrated! As a result, my skin gets seriously oily. Oily skin can't get dehydrated though right? Wrong! If your skin is oily but feels tight, chances are it's dehydrated and your skin is trying to over compensate by producing excess sebum. This is where herbivorebotanicals comes in. The trick is to use a facial mist before you use a moisturiser, apply the moisturiser on damp skin to lock in and absorb the moisture. This Rose Hibiscus Coconut water hydrating face mist is moving mountains for me, the gorgeous rose smell, the soothing properties, the instant face lift it gives me as soon as I've locked all that hydrating goodness in. Coconut water itself contains so many great benefits for the skin, packed full of vitamin C, A and K, antioxidant rich to keep skin healthy. For added hydration, I'll follow up with the beautiful Phoenix facial oil to make sure it is well and truly locked in. The oil itself is amazing, consistency is not too thick and not too runny, I'd go as far to say it's the perfect consistency, packed with so many beautiful oils, jojoba and rosehip being the first on the ingredients with CoQ10 to increase the skin’s collagen production. Literally everything you want and need in a facial oil.

On top of drinking tons of H20
On top of drinking tons of H20, spritzing a facemist can give you a seriously hydrated complexion. But, some face mists which are humectant and occlusive-free and contain alcohol can be drying and irritating to the skin. That's why it's important to choose face mist with great ingredients that's able to hold on moisture. My current favorite is HerbivoreBotanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist. I like to keep it in my purse, beside my working table, and mist accordingly. It's very gentle and the entire product is completely natural, vegan and cruelty-free. This mist contains several ingredients that benefit the skin like hydrating coconut water, hibiscus flower extract as a natural humectant, and steam-distilled rose water for antioxidant. All great things! The spray itself is very generous and spready evenly all over the face. Another thing that should be noted is this doesn't sting my eyes. I've tried face mists before where they sting my eyes upon use, which is crazy when you think about. I like to use this mist first thing in the morning. I spritz this all over my face and neck, wipe it with a cotton pad to remove excess sebum during sleep, spray again then let it sink in. There is nothing quite like a little face mist to help rejuvenate and assist on waking up. My other favorite way to use it is before facial oil. By hydrating and dampening the skin right before applying facial oils will help with spreadability and increase its absorption. As for my skin, the hydration was noticeable. Not a crazy amount that will make my oily skin tacky or greasy, but just a noticeable amount, like it was hydrated from within. Plus, I just feel kinda fancy, which I like.

Another brand Ive been really impressed with lately is Herbivore. Herbivore is completely natural and doeasnt even use any preservatives in their products or unnecessary fillers. I used to always think all natural skincare, or skincare made with completely natural ingredients and actives, were pointless and ineffective because the concentrations of actives you would need from a plant to actually work on your skin would need to be huge. I actually found amazing results with Herbivore despite that, and I honestly dont know how they do it. They choose the right plants to extract and press and make the best concoctions to give you results they promise. Having combo-oily skin I’m especially impressed with Prism and Bakuchiol (sadly discontinued) serums in improving cell turnover and gently exfoliating. The combination of these two products made my skin feel and look bright and radiant, and unclogged my pores and got rid of my congestion. I was also pleasantly surprised with Moonfruit, being a pretty thick cream, it actually worked with my combo skin. I think its because I use it at night and I kind of need the extra love at night, and I just love how my akin looks and feels in the morning. So fresh and dewy. So impressed with this brand, cant wait to try more

Award winning face mist!
Award winning face mist!
Product: Rose hibiscus hydrating face mist won a 2020 Glamour Readers’ Choice Beauty Award for Best Face Mist! It contains 100% natural hydrating and soothing vegan hyaluronic acid, organic rise hydrosol, coconut water, and hibiscus extract. It is suitable for ALL skin types. It has a mild scent of rose and coconut. Could be used over bare skin or over makeup for a more dewy look. Target Concerns: -dullness -dryness My Thoughts: This is by far my FAVORITE face mist and it’s no wonder that it won the 2020 award for best face mist. It’s a super fine spray that contains the secret to hydrated skin! I have been using this for almost 2 years and I haven’t found any other face mist that has been able to replace it. As soon as the mist touches your skin, you feel the instant hydration and soothing feeling. I use it after cleansing my face and before starting my skincare routine. I also mist it over my makeup for the perfect dewy look! The smell is divine because it’s not too strong and it’s an extremely gentle formula, so don’t worry about irritation! I highly recommend this to everyone!

🌹🌺🥥Rose Hibiscus Coconut Wa
🌹🌺🥥Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist is created with no fillers. A base of coconut and aloe leaf water is infused with hibiscus flower petals and moisture-enhancing rose to tone, hydrate, and soften skin. When used on clean skin, this mist is touted to reduce redness and blemishes with the natural salicylic acid found in aloe leaf water. . . ✨Even though one of the suggested uses is as a makeup setting spray, I find the mist is a bit too aggressive for that. For the most part I used it as a skin refresher throughout the day or post blue tansy/ exfoliation, but it is really a versatile mist depending on your skin’s needs. The hibiscus notes strike a cord…it transports me back to Trinidad picking these flowers in my grandmother’s garden. This was one of those products that the more I used it, the more I liked it, which is saying something because a lot of facial mists do not leave an impression one way or another.

Empties!

Here are speed revie
Empties! Here are speed reviews of each skincare product I've actually used up to the very last bit and the answer to that important question - "Would I repurchase?". Caudalie Moisturizing Toner - I've used it as my morning and evening toner, it's refreshing and makes the skin feel awake and hydrated. I enjoyed this one and found that it gave a good boost of hydration and lightly scented. However, I found Indie Lee CoQ-10 toner that I prefer because I think the ingredients are more clean and natural that just feels better on my skin. So there won't be a repurchase of this for me. HerbivoreBotanicals Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist - It's my second bottle and I actually purchased the third one already. So I guess that answers the question of whether I'd repurchase it or not. I feel like I've spoken about this product so many times already, but basically it's a hydrating facial mist that you can spray on after cleansing or whenever you like during the day. It's such a great makeup refresher and general skin picker-upper. LaRochePosay Toleriane Ultra Eye Contour - I'd heard a couple of good things about this cream for sensitive eyes. It's definitely the one that soothe my eyes when it was irritated by retinol. It's not greasy and good for day time under makeup too. So, there will be a repurchase of this. SensatiaBotanicals Indian Fig Finishing Dream Cream - I can't believe I finished this one, because it's such a thick cream inside this little jar that lasted me for months! I only use it at night, since it's heavy and a little bit greasy. It certainly leaves my complexion comfortable and content. The heavenly smell is what keeps me going back to this every night. I just feel like there are better ones out there with lighter formula. So no repurchase from me. SKII Facial Treatment Essence - Basically it's a hydrating water-type product that you slap on after cleansing and it preps my skin for whatever I put on next, whilst dousing it in a layer of dewiness. It's golden, I love it and I will continue to buy bottle after bottle all the while my skin drinks it up. BUT, I read so many review comparing this essence with Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence, so I currently trying it. So far I think I go back to SK-II (spoiler!). TheOrdinary Marine Hyaluronics - Even though the smell is not very enjoyable, actually I quite like having a bottle of this hanging around. It's hydrating and leaves my skin completely plump. But because the smell, I won't repurchase this, instead I will get the original HA 2% + B5 from The Ordinary or continue using For Skin's Sake HA serum as they both work as wonderful as the Marine one.
