Lotion mask method
This idea is taken from the book The Japanese skincare revolution by Chizu Saeki, I honestly don’t remember where I saw that someone recommended this book, but I bought it to learn more about the advice she gave. It’s a popular method in Japan thanks to Chizu Saeki, she places a lot of emphasis on skin hydration, this method is one of the techniques to improve skin hydration levels. In Japan, lotions are similar to toners, but Japanese lotions tend to be thicker and more hydrating. You only need a lotion (toner), multi-layered cotton pads and water. After cleaning your skin: 1. Take a multi-layered cotton pad and soak it in water. 2. Press the cotton to remove excess water. 3. Soak the cotton pad with the lotion (toner). 4. Separate the cotton sheets and put them on your face as a mask. 5. You can apply cling pack or a shower cap to increase the penetration of the lotion. 6. Leave 3 minutes and remove. Then follow your normal beauty routine. You can use whatever toner you have on hand 🙌🏻. This routine leaves the skin hydrated and soft and makes the rest of the products work better. *** I'm going to post a video with the steps, since you can't combine photos and videos in the same review.
Fabulous Makeup Remover
Ok. First off. If you haven’t purchased shiseido’s facial cottons, you have not lived. The facial cotton they make is SO soft and absorbs liquid so well. When you use it to apply a toner or remove makeup, it feels like the worlds softest tissue gliding along your face. Imagine charmine three ply toilet paper but doubled up and cut into a perfect square... shiseido is pretty similar. The amount you get in the package too is well worth the $14 it costs. Trust me. Buy a package of them. UNREAL Ok so- the BEST makeup remover I’ve ever used is this cleansing water. It’s so good for sensitive skin- especially around the eyes because it doesn’t burn them. Someone when I’ve used makeup remover, the product has bled into my eyes and causes them to burn or make me squint really hard. This cleansing water doesn’t do that at all. It gently removes all types of makeup (waterproof included) with the help of rose water but also soothes sensitive and stressed skin with their mixture of ingredients they call “dragons breath” It’s super hydrating too! You know when you wipe your face with a makeup wipe but then your face has a weird film on it afterwards- yeah- not with this baby! I honestly don’t know how people just take off their makeup with a wipe and then go to bed! I need to wash my face and then apply four hundred creams before I go to sleep 😝 Anyway, buy these two products. THE BEST combo
I AM OBSESSED.
Note: the rest of my cotton pads went into my cotton pad dispenser. Have you ever wondered what luxurious clouds would feel like on your face? Wonder no more, the Shiseido Facial Cotton will have you feeling like a pampered Grecian Goddess in no time. Are these a luxury? YES. A necessity? Not even a little bit. Will I rebuy this? Absolutely. For $5 at Sephora I can feel like a fancy celebrity when I apply my toner at night for 40 days. It’s so soft and so dreamy, I think it’s so worth it. SHISEIDO - Facial Cotton
Skin type: combination, acne prone. The product: 100% natural cotton, soft and maximum absorption. Texture: soft and smooth. Experience: I love shiseido cotton to apply tonics or masks (I divide the pad into several sheets and moisten it with toner and water, apply the layers as a mask for 3 minutes). It is very soft and absorbs very well without waste of product. 👍🏻👎🏻: like. Price: $12 SHISEIDO - Facial Cotton
The cotton pad you never knew you needed.
These cotton pads are amazing! They are so soft and fluffy and they are gentle on the face. They don’t fall apart or leave fuzzy pieces of cotton on your skin. I highly recommend it if you have sensitive skin like me. I bought these in Japan and stocked up because I know they’re more expensive here. Try them, you won’t regret it!
