Ingredients Breakdown: Lancôme Best Seller💕
Heyyy guys! Today I want to share my favorite toner with you:💕 Lancôme Confort Tonique!! 💕 Here's the information I got from my dermatologist. Ingredients: 💕 Butylene Glycol: Butylene Glycol used in many self-care products, like shampoo, lotion, masks, cosmetics, etc. It is included in formulas for these types of products because it adds moisture and conditions hair and skin. Here are three major uses of butylene glycol. 🐝 Firstly, butylene glycol is a viscosity-decreasing agent. It makes other ingredients less likely to stick together, giving makeup and self-care products a fluid and even consistency. 🐝 Secondly, butylene glycol is a conditioning agent. Conditioning agents are ingredients that add a layer of softness or improved texture to your hair or skin. 🐝 Thirdly, solvents are ingredients that maintain a liquid consistency in a chemical compound. They help active ingredients that could become gritty or clumpy stay dissolved. 🐝 Butylene glycol benefits for acne： Butylene glycol is in made for people who have acne. It isn’t the active ingredient that treats acne in these products. The moisturizing and solvent properties in butylene glycol could make these products right for you. 💕 Sweet Almond Protein: Hydrolyzed sweet almond protein is a protein extracted from almonds that has been liquefied. It acts as a protective and moisturizing agent. In cleansing products, it reduces skin irritation and improves skin tolerability. 💕 Honey: Honey speeds up your skin cells’ healing processes. If you have blemishes or an eczema outbreak, honey that’s unpasteurized could speed healing and reduce inflammation. Manuka honey is so effective at healing wounds quickly that it’s now used by doctors in clinical settings 💕 Sodium Hyaluronate: Sodium hyaluronate has moisturizing benefits when applied topically to skin tissue. No injections are required. In addition, it mimics hyaluronic acid produced naturally by the body. It's non-irritating to skin and is usually well tolerated even by people with sensitive skin. It also has the ability to penetrate into deeper layers of the skin, and also attracts and binds water. This effect can plump the skin, thus reducing the look of wrinkles and making skin younger-looking ✨ Overall, I highly recommend this product to you, especially if you have dry skin!! ✨

Combined & Skincare Routine
I have a combined and sensitive skin type. My forehead and nose can be oily whereas my cheekbones and chin can be dry. During spring and autumn my face can be especially dry and sensitive. So balancing the oil and hydration is quite important for my skin, and the products need to be mild for my sensitive face. I would like to introduce this skincare routine that I have tried for several months to people who have similar skin concerns with me.I Step 1 - Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser A good facial cleanser is the basis of a good skincare routine, and I think this Aesop cleanser is the best cleanser ever. It’s kind of like a gel and with a very fresh herbal scent. I use it day and night. It’s not very foamy or soapy but can make my face clean and not slippery. It’s also very mild so my face won’t feel dry quickly before I can get toner, and even during my face has a bad condition, it doesn’t feel irritating. Step 2 - Lancôme Tonique Confort After washing my face, I will get this toner from Lancôme. It’s not a totally watery toner. The texture is smooth and kind of has a light serum feel. And it smells like roses which relax my mood. I like to pat several times on my face and it absorbs well so my face feels still fresh but more hydrating. This moisturising toner really hydrates and soothes my skin very gently. This is suitable for both day and night use. Step 3 - Sisley Ecological Compound The final step is using this lotion from Sisley, which has a milky texture and lightweight. I think it’s an all-in-one product. It hydrates and revitalizes your skin so you don’t need an extra serum, and eventually protect your skin and lock the moisture into your skin. I don’t like creams because most of them are too heavy and make my face looks greasy, this Sisley lotion is thin and has a good balance of oil and hydration so comfort my skin and leave it soft. It’s perfect for daytime and also nighttime to keep a long-lasting moisturising.
All About Toners
Toners: What are they, and why should you always include them in your routine?🧐👩🏼🔬 . . First let’s break down the difference between toners and astringents. Astringents are the old-school toners we used in our teens; the ones that had alcohol and salicylic acid as the main ingredients and caused our skin to tingle and feel very dry and taut😣. While they may work well at removing oil from oily skin types, they wreaked havoc on my dry skin.😓 . . However, the new generation of toners are typically alcohol-free and can contain the following: witch hazel, acids, glycerin, anti-oxidants, and anti-inflammatories- something for all skin types✅. Applied after cleansing, (using a cotton ball, or tapping in with your bare hands: my favorite), toners quickly penetrate and hydrate the skin💦. Think of them as a primer for the rest of your skincare routine!🙌🏼 . . Another benefit of toners is their ability to balance your skin’s pH levels🧪 (a healthy acid mantle has a pH of 4-7). As your skin produces oil, it becomes acidic, so cleansers are formulated to have a higher pH (more basic) to combat the oiliness. However, after cleansing🧴, your skin becomes dry, and without added moisture 💧will start to produce more oils again, bringing the pH down in a never ending loop.🌀 . . This is where the toner comes in! Most toners are formulated to have an optimal pH level to balance the skin after cleansing. . . Let’s break it down even more: . 1️⃣Skin is oily= low pH, too acidic . 2️⃣Facial cleanser= high pH (basic/alkaline), raises your skin’s pH (become too alkaline) . 3️⃣Apply toner after cleansing (pH between 4-7), lowers your skin’s pH and averages around a pH of 5.5 . . One of my all-time favorite toners is @lancomeofficial Tonique Confort💕💦! My dry skin laps this up after cleansing. It’s definitely a thicker toner, think like a liquidy-lotion, so it might be a little heavy for oilier skin folks. It is alcohol-free and very soothing and gentle on my skin. It’s the perfect prep-step that maximizes the absorption of future products! . . @freshbeauty #lancome #toniqueconfort #pinkwednesday #freshsugar #sugarlips

This or That? Which toner wins my heart…
A great toner is always important for an effective skincare routine. I’ve tried lots of toners these years and today I would like to introduce two of them for you, one is my recent fav and one is my always repurchase. Before starting to recommend my toners, I want to make it clear that my skin type is combination around the whole year and my major skin concern is severe dryness and skin sensitive, which leads to redness recently. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion This toner is my new fav babie these days. The formulation is a little thick, so I think describing it as lotion is more specific. It’s very lightweight, I usually drop some of this lotion to cotton pads and smear it around the face. It could be absorbed by skin easily and rapidly. You will not feel any thickness after using it. It has good fragrance which would put you in a good mood. It has sucrose and caffeine, my skin always feel much more calming and soothing after applying it. It can draw enough moisture into my skin to plump the look of dryness for a smoother appearance. Also, it’s a good prep for serums and moisturizers. After use, skin is left dewy-fresh, glowing and hydrated. I’ve been using this lotion for four months and this has been the second bottle, it only cost $35 for 200 mL. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner This toner could be Lancôme’s best-seller, I think. It owns more than 40k loves on sephora. I’ve been using this toner for more than three years. Every time I’ve no idea which toner to pick, it always comes in my sight. It’s a lightweight pink formulated toner which is very soothing and moisturizing. It could gently cleanse and hydrate my dry skin for a smooth and glowing appearance. I love the lightweight liquid formulation, which always be absorbed by my skin quickly. The texture is a little like serum. I can feel my skin softer and visibly glowing after using it. I also apply it on my neck. The price is also friendly, $31 for 200 mL and $54 for 400 mL. You can give it a try if you’re searching for a hydrated toner. Do you have your fav toner? Battles of toners —Same appearance, same function?
My skin condition is different in summer and winter. In summer, my skin is often oily, and pimples and pimples are my focus on skin care. In the dry winter, I need to change my skin care focus. My cheeks will peel off and become red. Therefore, in the cold and dry season, moisturizing and repairing the skin barrier is my top priority. I have tried a lot of toners to solve these problems, and then I will share two of them. ESTĒE LAUDER - Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion$35 This is a moisturizing toner recently launched by Estee Lauder. The main components of this product are soothing extracts of Passion Flower and Edelweiss, which can make the skin full and soft. Therefore, this toner is mainly used by dry skin. I usually clean my face at night, pour toner in the middle of my palm, apply it to my face, and then pat it gently with my hands. The Estee Lauder Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion has a relatively thin texture, so it will be absorbed by the skin quickly. At the same time, the fluidity of this Estee Lauder Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion will be very strong, so if you have very dry skin, I recommend using a cotton pad to wet it. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating TonerLANCOME Tonique Confort $76 LANCOME Tonique Confort is a toner specially designed for people with dry skin. Its main ingredients are honey and sweet almond extract, which can bring silky soft moisturizing effect, gently purifies and immediately rehydrate skin. The fluidity of LANCOME Tonique Confort is not as good as the previous toner, which means that its moisturizing degree will be more powerful. It deeply hydrates for a healthy-looking complexion. I like its taste very much, too. It is a faint rose fragrance. Fluidity: Estee Lauder Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion is better. Moisturizing: LANCOME Tonique Confort is better. Odor: I like LANCOME Tonique Confort more. Price: Estee Lauder Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion is cheaper.

What is 2nd cleaning toner?😉
ABOUT ME: 🔥SUMMER：Combination oil skin with dry cheeks. ❄️WINTER：Combination dry skin. acne prone skin with oily T-ZONE. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner ✨Price: $31 for 6.7oz 🥰What is secondary cleaning product? Famous secondary cleaning lotion, like Clinique's No. 2 toner. It is to clean the dirt on the skin and the skin metabolism. This does not mean that a secondary cleanser is as effective as a makeup remover or cleanser. It is used as a secondary cleanser after removing makeup and cleansing. ✨Ingredients: Glycerin and butanediol are two most common moisturizing ingredients. VE: Initial oxidation resistance. Hyaluronic acid, honey and a small amount of plant extracts for Moisturize. If you keep looking at other ingredients, you'll find surfactants. This means that while wet compresses can make you feel good once in a while, long-term wet compresses will damage the skin protection. That's why this lotion is mainly for hydrating, but not suitable for wet compress method. ✨Personal feeling: When I began to use it, I directly applied it to my skin, and the amount was more, which led to acne! But once, after I washed my face, I put the lotion on the cotton pad to wipe my skin. Some yellow dirt was wiped out! It was a surprise! So I read the official instructions. This product is a secondary cleaning product, so don't treat it as an ordinary toner. You can find "tissue off" written on the back of packaging. 😎How to use: So the correct step is to wash your skin, pour the lotion onto a cotton pad and gently wipe the skin. A thin layer is enough. Then use another moisturizing toner. BIODERMA - Sébium Lotion ✨Price：$14.9 for 6.67oz ✨Ingredients: Zinc gluconate for oil control; Octyl glycine has a strong inhibitory effect on staphylococcus epidermis and acne. Salicylic acid, removes dirt from pores and reduces inflammation from closed acne. Because it contains salicylic acid, it is not recommended for sensitive skin. ✨Personal feeling: This lotion is used in summer. I bought it mainly for oil control and acne treatment. But the alcohol is a bit too strong for me, so I usually don't go straight to the face and just wet it with a cotton pad. At the beginning, there will be a little tingling, so must be a small amount of local use with 3-5 minutes. Do not recommend every day application. Advantage is it can protect your skin in hydrated condition for a long time. Not like many other lotions that volatilized very quickly.
