Tatcha 💜 Fave or Meh?
Tatcha 💜 Fave or Meh?
Tatcha is a brand that I feel like it on everyone’s radar. Like regardless of who you are most people have heard of Tatcha. I’ve tried a few products by the brand with great hopes (because of the hype) and I’ve been let down every time. They bring classical Japanese beauty culture to the western market. For me the brand is a meh. The two products I’ve tired the most from them have been the TATCHA - LUMINOUS DEEP HYDRATION FIRMING EYE SERUM and TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK (both were gifted). The TATCHA - LUMINOUS DEEP HYDRATION FIRMING EYE SERUM retails for $85 for .5 oz of product which I find completely over priced. There are a lot better options for eye creams that are less than half the price. They claim this eye serum brings youthful radiance to the under eye area. They have a little slanted applicator where the product pushes up that I assume you’re supposed to use to dot under the eye (it’s plastic though and not a cooling metal which for the price I would expect). It feels like a lightweight serum/cream consistency. I assumed because of the name it would have some brightening properties but once applied to the eye it doesn’t give you any kind of “glow”. After using it for a few weeks I wasn’t seeing a difference nor a “youthful glow” so I stopped using. It does lay well under make up and absorbs well but it’s not worth the price. I like the TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK more than the eye serum but it’s still not a huge hit. For $48 you get .28 oz of a solid serum. Not to be /that person but I have a bottle of squalane oil from the ordinary for like for $8. You’re getting majorly jipped when it comes to product. It has balm consistency that actually smooths on the skin without tugging which I do enjoy. It doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I have eczema so what I ended up using this for was when I would get dry patches or flares I would rub some on it. It did seem to help dry patches (which yes, despite having oily skin I do get occasionally from my eczema) after a period of a few days of use but I still don’t think it’s worth the money. I’ve also tried sample packets of their water cream and I had a full sized jar of their Indigo Smoothing Cream which I ended up giving to my boyfriend because I didn’t care for it (the outer portion of the lid also broke away from the part of the lid that screws on the product). I think for the price point a lot of their packaging feels super cheap. Especially the eye serum. For $85 the packaging feels so extremely cheap. It left me super confused and disappointed based on Tatcha’s price point and prestige.

I saw someone on here write about this product saying they don’t like it and I wanted to share my option. I loveeeeeeee it!! I would definitely re buy this product!! It’s soo hydrating and super convenient. The stick form is so smooth and creamy. It hydrates my skin and gives me the glowing look I love. Totally recommend! TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK

This is the new Tatcha Serum Stick that recently launched. As you can see in my pic, I got it from Influenster, but my review is honest. It is a serum stick that is used to target fine lines, wrinkles and dryness on the face. It is in a stick form and the actual stick is very glidey and goes from a solid to a creamish form when applied to the face. Idk guys, it just didn’t impress me much. It is pretty moisturizing, which is good because that’s what it’s marketed for. I used it mainly as an eye cream around my eyes, whenever I used it on my whole face it didn’t really sink it very well. For the price, since Tatcha is not a cheap brand, I just don’t recommend it. Maybe if you’re SUPER dry and you can use it to target certain dry patches, but for everyday use I think an eye cream and a moisturizer would suffice.

This is my go to under eye serum balm combo. It is in the form of a stick and reminds me of a glue stick. It is a balmy texture and goes on smooth. I use it under my eyes and in my laugh lines. I find that it hydrates my skin well. It says it is meant to fill in fine lines but I have not noticed any improvement in those. However I do not have very many of them. I would recommend this but am a little worried about its ability to be sanitary. I never layer this over makeup like it says you can. It is $48 and I don’t know if that is worth the cost. WOW OBSESSED WITH THIS! TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK This was a big spend for a serum and I’m glad I bought it. I have been using this for about a month, maybe even longer? Probably longer.. lol ANYWAY, it clearly works and I use it everyday. I love this because I’m lazy AF and this is a solid serum. + hydrating - this got rid of my rough dry skin on my nose after having a cold. You know that annoying skin irritation after using way too many tissues. + easy to travel with - love to throw this in my purse or makeup bag for on the go or trips. + touch up makeup + loaded with squalene, Japanese lemon balm, and hyaluronic acid. Application is super simple, just glide it across your face or the areas you’d like. There can be a bit of a tug on direct dry skin. I avoid any tug by applying right after a toner or facial spray! I use this mostly for my under eyes. It fits perfect under the eyes and YALL it’s really doing the most. My under eyes are brighter, smoother, and at this point look like they are turning up a bit. Quick summary, this is great for a lazy skin care gal and it’s super hydrating and the best for under eyes!

Serum stick or chap stick for your face??
Serum stick or chap stick for your face??
Product claims: A concentrated treatment and touch up balm packed with 80% squalene, hyaluronic acid, and Japanese lemon balm to target dryness and signs of aging. Product target concerns: Fine lines and wrinkles, dryness, dullness and uneven texture My experience: I don’t understand how this product has so many positive reviews on Sephora. I received this product through influenster for reviewing. I didn’t enjoy this product at all because it just felt like I was putting chapstick on my face. It has beautiful packaging but other than that the product just wouldn’t sink in my skin and it literally sat on my skin leaving a very sticky feeling. Even after 15 minutes of applying it, I could feel the product sliding on my finger (which is a little gross to be honest). It also says that it can be used as a touch up balm but I just can’t imagine using this on top of makeup because it’s really sticky. Do I recommend this to others? No I don’t. It’s just a sticky mess in a beautiful balm packaging 😕 Price: $48 for 0.28 oz which is very pricey for a chapstick for your face 😬
