Mary Kay Satin Lips Scrub (set) $22
Mary Kay Satin Lips Scrub (set) $22
Satin Lips Set This lip scrub is designed to slough off the dead skin on your lips - which is the only part of your skin that doesn’t do so on it’s own - and make them smooth as silk. It’s a two-part system, which involves a sugar scrub and a Shea balm. To use, just put a dab of the scrub on the tip of your finger. It’s grainy, light sand but less dry. You won’t need a lot of the scrub, so be careful not to overdo it. Put it on your lips and rub it around in circular motions. You’ll start to notice it balling up a little, but that’s not the scrub - that’s your dead skin coming off. Rub it around for as long as you feel like, though I wouldn’t suggest rubbing your lips off. Duh. Then wipe or rinse it off. I prefer to use either a wet paper towel or just my fingers and water. Just not something dry because it’s less pleasant and less effective. Then apply the lip balm. This stuff will feel like heaven after the scrub, and it makes your lips so, so soft. Thus the whole Satin Lips moniker. Don’t use a ton of this either, because it goes pretty far. I absolutely love this stuff, and have been using it for a while. It’s perfect for the winter season when my lips are drying out often, and it just feels nice. I’ve even taken to using the balm separately when I just need a little chapstick during the day. Plus, it tastes great! Obviously don’t eat it, but I like that if it does get in my mouth, it doesn’t taste like vinegar or candle wax. It’s just sweet like... well, like sugar. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
