Practicing My Wedding Makeup!
Practicing My Wedding Makeup!
I’m getting married in two weeks - ahhhhh!!! My fiancé and I are having a very small ceremony and dinner with close friends/family on 9/6. Next summer we’ll have a big celebration when things are safer (hopefully). I’m going to be doing my own hair and makeup. I’ve practiced a couple times, but this look is the highest contender (judge being my very picky and natural beauty-loving fiancé). I wanted a look that provided soft definition and glowy skin. I’ve reviewed a few of these on Cherie before, and recommend all of these items. Face: touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer raved about this before, great for all skin types, somewhat covers pores, extends wear of makeup URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation lightweight, medium-buildable coverage, natural matte finish (my shade is 30NN) e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer excellent coverage, not drying, stays put (my shade is “light peach” HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 this was limited edition from 2018, but you can get a very similar bronzer from their permanent line, and the finishing powders are sold as singles too. Provides a bit of luminosity and gives the skin an ethereal finish. Hourglass products are expensive, but worth it. tarte - Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette I used the bronzer and blush from this. Great palette for fair-medium skin tones. Bronzer leans more neutral. Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand i used the shade “spotlight” (silvery/pinky). It looks melted into my face! It’s absolutely stunning but a bit pricey ($38), so I’d give it 4.5/5 stars. Eyes: persona - Identity Eyeshadow Palette high-quality, buttery shimmers, creamy mattes. MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer I use this all the time. It’s great for the price! I did apply some random false lashes from Shop Miss A but I can’t find which ones. Mascara would work just fine. Lips: I forgot to feature my lip products in the flat lay, so I tagged them in my “selfies”! I used Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick in “Pillowtalk” with lilah b. - Luxe Lip Oil Mini Duo shade “b elegant” on top. Pillowtalk is a my lips but better shade (pink-ish) and “b elegant” lip oil is a nude gloss. Love the color combo!! There are NO filters on these photos, by the way! Photos of myself taken in natural lighting. #CheriePartner

Worth it? My 4 favos highlighter
Worth it? My 4 favos highlighter
I'm a highlighter girl. Highlighters always highlight my makeup look! Those four highlighters are my favourites and are also very popular in the markets. Swipe left to see the color swatches. Let's go review them. ✨Cle De Peau Beaute - Luminizing Face Enhancer #17 Price: $90 - The highest Texture: Pressed Powder Cle De Peau is a Japanese brand, which provides high-end beauty products. The price point of it is the highest among all my highlighters, it's almost equal to the total of other three highlighters. I'm very into the package and the color of it. This highlighter provides a natural look. I always use it after setting powder. The powder is super fine. It's buildable and won't cake the look. clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Luminizing Face Enhancer ✨Charolette Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand #Goldgasm Price: $38 Texture: Liquid I picked Goldgasm color of this highlighter. The color is a bit goldish, it works well on light and medium skin tone. It's perfectly golden on my skintone without being yellow. Just one thing need to notice that, as a liquid highlighter, I need to apply it before setting-powder. Or, it will make my look cakey. Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand ✨Fenty Beauty - Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil Price:$39 Texture: Pressed Powder ( a bit creamy) I've had it for 2 years. It does what it claims - "diamond-dusted". I love it's shimmer and sparkle, which gives me a fabulous look. This highlighter is not natural, as it's super shiny. I will wear it for nightlife. It will definitely standout you. The texture is a bit creamy, which is very buildable. I use my fingers to apply it on my cheek. FENTY BEAUTY - Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil ✨Natasha Denona - Mini Diamond & Glow Cheek Duo Price: $19 Texture: Pressed Powder This one is the lowest price, but gets my fullest attention. I'm a super fan of Natasha Denona. They always create beautiful things silently without over merchandising. This pallete has two colors: nude and pink. The nude one looks the same as Fenty Beauty highlighter. But the powder is not as fine as that. I love the pink glow of it. It's super buildable and blendable. And is the most pigmented one among all these highlighters. It's like a combination of blush and highlighter. I will give it 5 stars and definetly recommend it. NATASHA DENONA - Mini Diamond & Glow Duo ✨My thoughts: I will say the Cle De Peau highlighter is not worth the price. I can find a lot of dupes to replace it. The only reason I bought it might be it's package, which attracts me a lot. If I can only have one highlighter, I pick the Natasha Denona one, for it's functional and affordable price. ✨I have combination skin and light skin tone.

Glowing Natural-glam Fall Makeup
Glowing Natural-glam Fall Makeup
Natural glam is some of my favorite makeup to rock, and fall makes it even better with all of the delicious warm tones and golds. I always love to play up my eyes and highlight to get a lit from within glow that complements the warm neutrals I use for my shadows and lips. Using the inspiration of golden hour and the changing colors of the leaves never fails 🍁 For my eyes, I used a mixture of NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette and my HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette to get the perfect mix of warm tones and golds. I start by blending the camel color from natasha in my crease, and deepen it with the next darkest brown in the palette (a chocolate) on my outer V. I take my finger and press crave from huda onto the center of my lid, layering my highlight on the inner corner and smoking my lower lash line out with the same chocolate colour. The duo-chrome shadows in the huda palette is extra fun, and adds extra dimension to the look; I love the shift of crave and daydream. I add a dot of highlight to the center of my lower lash line as well. I dont line in this look, but use a few coats of a dark black mascara like CHANEL - Le Volume de Mascara which doesn’t smudge or flake, and applies easily with little clumping for long and voluminous lashes. I darken my brows to give a more structured look to my eyes. I’ve been loving the Rare Beauty - Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel which makes my brows look naturally tinted and sculpted for a more elegant look. I didnt contour in this look, but layered on benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder liberally with a darker bronzer powder still in a warmer shade CHANEL - LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW Sheer Powder I don’t contour because for this look i’m sticking with only warm tones, and my contour shade is cool. I mix in my blush, EM COSMETICS - Heaven’s Glow: Magic Hour Blush which truly transfers the colour of magic onto the face, and top it with my Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand that melts into the skin and gives a heavenly glow. For my lips, I used a mix of Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick and EM COSMETICS - EM Cosmetics Lip Cushion for perfect warm nude pink tones. What’s your go-to look? Would you try this out? Let me know what you think down below! 💕

Glowy makeup in literally 10 minutes
Glowy makeup in literally 10 minutes
Okay, so I literally forgot that I had a Zoom call this morning that I needed to be on camera for and literally had to get glammed up in 10 minutes. I have acne-prone skin and always need my makeup to cover up my breakouts and scars, so concealer is a must for me. Since using Zoom, I’ve noticed that mascara makes a huge difference and can truly elevate your look by lifting up your lashes. Bronzer and blush also make big impacts in the way your skin looks on Zoom; sometimes I’ve found that I look ghostly pale if I don’t add a little color to my cheeks. To save time, I skipped foundation and just spot-treated with concealer (thankfully I didn’t have that many spots and bumps to cover up today lol). I also don’t use powder or lipstick if I’m in a rush - and sometimes I forget to get rid of my mascara smudges (which I definitely did today lol) Here’s my 10-minute routine and the steps/products that I consider essential: Prep: Glossier Futuredew oil serum on my high-points to make my skin look glowy. I don’t recommend using a lot of this product or applying it all over the face since it can be thick and oily. Applying a little on the high-points is how I’ve avoided breakouts. Concealer: Fenty Beauty Match Skin Stix in French Vanilla. I applied it to my under-eyes and then around the spots on my chin and forehead to brighten and conceal. Since it’s a stick formulation, I like to blend it out with a damp beauty sponge otherwise I find it hard to blend out and get a natural-looking finish. This product is also really good for Zoom because of its matte finish, which helps eliminate any the glare from your computer looking like shine. Mascara: Marc Jacobs Beauty Mascara delivers fuller, voluminous lashes in one sweep because of its fluffy hourglass wand. It’s one of my favorite mascaras of all-time and really transforms my lashes. Blush: Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in the shade Pinkgasm, which is a liquid blush and the most shimmery, gorgeous pure pink shade and blends into the skin so nicely and easily. I’ve found that a little goes a long way, which is great when you’re in a pinch, otherwise it can be a bit much. I love to apply it with my fingers. Highlight: Saie Beauty Dew Balm in Rosy Gold, which is actually the worst product to use in a pinch; it’s really hard to get the salve-like balm out of the tube. But once it’s out and melted down from your fingers, it creates the dreamiest glow. Bronzer: I always do bronzer last in case I don’t have time for it, but I love the glow my skin gets from Hourglass’ powder Ambient Lighting Bronzer, which creates a natural-looking contour and never looks artificial or caked on. If there’s time, I like to apply a little to the creases of my eyes for a little definition and faux eyeshadow moment. Thankfully I had time today because it made me look so good.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LINEUP
CHARLOTTE TILBURY LINEUP
So it seems I have amassed a collection of Charlotte Tilbury products and it’s about time I gathered my thoughts for a review on them! Charlotte Tilbury has been a favorite brand of mine from a distance for several years for the stunning packaging, and every day glam vibes that feels so luxurious. Their products feel sophisticated and polished (even tho I am not lol) and are just an all around joy to use. My gateway into the brand was the infamous Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Flawless Filter after hearing so many rave reviews and the y were not wrong! A makeup artist applies this on me at their flagship at The Grove last summer (oh how I miss the days of sampling makeup) on top of my makeup and I was blown away by the glow that didn’t emphasize any texture and melted into my base with ease. I love how this product is so multifunctional as well, it’s my go to highlight on top of foundation, but it also works beautifully under foundation or mixed in to any products that you want to add a bit of glow to. Also this bottle lasts FOREVER and I’ll probably replace it for sanitary reasons before I run out. I also picked up the Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand in the shade Pinkgasm because I can’t resist a cream blush. This is definitely a blush/ highlighter hybrid bc the glow from this is REAL. It’s a stunning shade of pink without being too doll like. For me though, this isn’t something I would reach for every day. It’s definitely for when you want to have a moment and like your best glowgasm life and I’m here for it! I’m endlessly on the hunt for the perfect one and done eyeshadow and Charlotte Tilbury - Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow takes the cake for me! I have the shades Bette, Rose Gold and Star Gold. These shadows are beautiful all over the lid for an effortless look which is really my vibe and last all day on my lids. I get the most use out of Bette, which is a beautiful warm shimmery brown that adds a kiss of depth to my eyes and really helps them pop. I’ll do a more in depth review on each shade in a future post! The product that is just okay to me is Charlotte Tilbury - K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick which I have in Stoned Rose. Don’t get me wrong, the shade is absolutely stunning- I like this best as a sheer wash of color on my lips because I find it’s too shiny for my liking when it’s built up. But to me I find I can get the same effect with a balm and I can’t justify the price. The packaging is luxe af though so I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. Are you a CT fan? Let me know your favorite products!
