LOOK GOOD ON A ZOOM CALL
LOOK GOOD ON A ZOOM CALL
People always say doing your makeup in your bathroom, then stepping out into natural lighting can be jarring. But have you ever done your makeup and joined on a Zoom call? Thank God for being able to turn off video while on a call. Things I did exclusively for this video: 1. Bolder brows: For Zoom, I want my brows to be a little bit more amped up so I make the tail a wee bit darker with #LA Splash - Ultra Defined Brows[products]#[FourStars] . This brow pomade is great because it also has small hairlike fibers to build up the brows. 2. Targeted powder: I have oily skin so I used set my face regardless, but for Zoom calls, I know I won’t be able to blot my face like I would normally try to. I used the LAURA GELLER - Baked Balance-n-Brighten for my under eyes as the only highlighter and placed SEPHORA COLLECTION - MicroSmooth Baked Foundation Face Powder in over the B3 to tamper down the brightness. 3. My skin, but better: I don’t want to look uber cakey so I use the The Ordinary - Colour. Serum Foundation with theL.A. Girl - PRO.color Foundation Mixing Pigment to bring down the warmth of the foundation. The foundation is a thinner formula so it doesn’t look overwhelming. 4. Check thyself before thy wreck thyself: Before the meeting, check the lighting, how you look on the video call and adjust whatever you want. #CheriePartner

My go-to makeup base
My go-to makeup base
It’s 95 F in Texas and I have oily skin. Do you know what that means? If I am going to wear makeup, then I need to moisturize, then mattify or the oil on my skin will eat my makeup like a contestant in a hotdog eating competition. With deep complexion and oily skin, I focus on keeping my oil at bay, concealing hyperpigmentation and smoothing my pores. I try to work with small amounts of product and build upon it to avoid looking like a cake face. I find that my makeup looks better when I do that and lasts longer. Tools: • NYX - Pro Brush 03 Multi Purpose Bufferingis the brush I recommend. (I wasn’t able to use it in the video because mine has just been washed.) In the video, I used a flat-top kabuki brush in its stead. • e.l.f. - e.l.f. Contouring Brush: I love this brush for contouring. • Undereye brush. I recommend e.l.f. - Flawless Concealer Brush Here’s what I used (in order of appearance): • Primers: boscia - Porefecting White Charcoal Mattifying Treatment Primer(formulated for oily skin with larger pores) and REVLON - Photoready Prime Plus Brightening & Skin Tone Evening Primer* • Foundation:laura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundationin Ganache* • Concealers: Neutrogena - New Healthy Skin Radiant Cream Concealerin Java Deep 2 and (not pictured) MAYBELLINE - Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealerin Tan and Medium. • Contour: URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Correcting Concealerin 90NN* • Powders: SEPHORA COLLECTION - MicroSmooth Baked Foundation Face Powderin Deep, LAURA GELLER - Baked Balance-n-Brighten(not pictured) and Sleek - Face Contour Kitin Dark 886 • Setting spray: Supergoop! - Holly x Supergoop!Defense Refresh (Re)Setting Mist SPF 40is a spray that I usually use because sunscreen is important. The only thing that I don’t like is the minty smell. (not pictured) * products sent to me to review #CheriePartner

Great powder foundation
Great powder foundation
How gorgeous is this texture?! I just got my Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten foundation and it is going to be my summer staple. Color correcting swirls of multicolored liquid pigments are baked for 24 hours on terracotta tiles, then hand-finished in Italy. The result is weightless, creamy coverage that self-adjusts to leave skin looking even, flawless and beautifully radiant. It’s made without additional fillers, so it covers with less product than traditional powders. I love that it stays put in the heat. Plus there are several shades to choose from. I got mine at QVC and they had a great deal that includes the brush.
