Fall 2020 Skincare Routine
The first product in my skincare routine is the Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Cleansing Water. It smells a little weird, but works super well for me. It’s cooling and anti redness, as well as being water based, meaning it can be good for those with oily skin. Micellar water is made from purified water mixed with hydrating compounds and cleansing agents. The cleansing agent molecules join to form micelles, which are a chemical structure that helps pull oil and dirt from the skin. This micellar water is $6.29 from Target for a 6.7 oz bottle. I think it’s fairly cheap for a cleanser and works very well for the price. Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water Next, 2 times a week I use the Bliss Mighty Marshmallow Bright & Radiant Whipped Mask. When I first opened the container for this mask, I was hit with the distinct smell of strawberry jello. This is actually something I like about the mask. Other than the smell, which comes from the mask containing extracts and glycerin, it is also cooling, anti redness, creamy, super easy to apply, and leaves your skin very glowy after use. Now let’s talk ingredients. The key ingredients in this product are listed below: Marshmallow Root Extract: hydrating Vitamin C: helps even skin tone Olive Leaf Extract: limits water loss and plumps the skin Zinc PCA: reduces excess oil and anti redness Glycerin: hydrating One thing to note about this mask is it does contain some alcohol. This alcohol is okay in products though. (See my post on Alcohol) This product is available at Target for $16.39 for a 1.7 oz. bottle. It is a more pricey mask, but I personally think it does more for my skin than a $55 mask I used to buy. bliss - Mighty Marshmallow Mask Next I use the Trader Joes Rose Water Facial Toner. I will say this toner is pretty average. It’s hydrating, but has no outstanding ingredients or benefits. I don’t think I’ll repurchase it simply because it has fragrance, something I didn’t notice when I bought it. This toner can be found at Trader Joes for $3.99 for a 4 oz bottle. As you can see, it’s an incredibly cheap product, but not worth it. TRADER JOE'S - Rose Water Facial Toner My moisturizer on the other hand I love. It’s the Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15. It’s creamy, hydrating, a little oily, and leaves your skin super smooth and glowy. All of its active ingredients are sunscreens, and other than that it’s just a good, basic moisturizer that works really well for me. It can be found at Target for $11.39 for a 6 oz bottle. OLAY - Complete All Day UV Moisturizer SPF 15 Sensitive Skin And finally I use the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion. This is a thick, creamy, hydrating moisturizing body lotion that I’m in love with! I use it twice a day and my skin is softer than its ever been. Highly recommend. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This lotion can be found at Target for $17.49 for a 12 oz bottle. Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
I cannot live without the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water! It is a gentle facial cleanser that helps to draw contaminates out of the skin while also providing the skin with some hydration. Simple Micellar Cleansing Water is targeted towards gentle cleansing and make-up removing. It has a liquid consistency that is almost identical to water. This micellar water is a must-have in my collection and has been for several years. I use it to take off makeup at the end of the day before using a creamy cleanser. It does a great job of removing any impurities without stripping the skin. I’ve tried other micellar waters and this one is my favorite. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all and also does not leave a film on the skin. This product is extremely affordable. I honestly think it would work well for all skin types and would definitely recommend trying it out! Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water

I have very sensitive skin, too sun, makeup, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen., you name it! But here are some products that work for my skin. I’ve never had a horrible issue with my skin *knock on wood* but I did got through a few years of acne and flakiness on my skin. Off and on now I’ll get occasional breakouts but they will go away if I tend my skin correctly. Morning routine• Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion I wet my face and then apply this cream and wipe away access with a cotton pad. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum This product I have good times with and some bad, but overall it doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t apply it where I have small scarring because it seems to clog the area. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This one is a bit pricey but definitely worth it! The only eye cream I’ve used that actually works with brightening. I have extremely dark circles and this helps with it. Now I know I’m going to get attacked for not using a sunscreen but I haven’t found one yet that works. I’ve tried sooo many, ones directed toward sensitive skin and all have broke me out or triggered eczema. If you have suggestions let me know! ••••••••••••••• Nighttime routine• Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water I use this with a cotton pad all around my face and then follow with the Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum this again and I’m finished! 🧡🧡☀️ Extra tlc for my skin! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay this mixed apple cider vinegar became my best friend, I started this about two years ago and it has helped me so much. It can cause irritation but it doesn’t last very long, right after using I apply a generous amount of moisturizer. pixi - DetoxifEYE I will occasionally use these if I’m getting glammed up somewhere and they make such a difference!! •••••••••
Nighttime Full Beauty Routine 2020!
Hey y’all! My nighttime beauty routine has been highly requested, so why not do it in the form of a Cherie video! This has been super popular for a while and I haven’t tried it before, so please be kind about my mediocre video skills. Shower gel wash: #RawSugar - Unfiltered shower gel[products]#[FourStars] in mango + pineapple This product has fragrance, which I don’t like, but its been working for me so far. Razor: billie - Billie Razor I just did an in depth review on Billie but in short this razor is amazing!!! Toothpaste: Tom's OF MAINE - Natural Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste in peppermint I hate normal mint toothpaste but this one is great! Mouthwash: #Listerine - Smart Rinse[products]#[FiveStars] Also tastes really good! Leave-in treatment: #Function of Beauty - Leave In Treatment[products]#[TwoStars] This is an add on to the shampoo and I don’t really think it’s doing a lot, so I’ll finish the bottle and be done. Moisturizers: OLAY - Complete Lotion All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin + CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin The Cerave is too heavy, and the olay too light, so I mix them! Review my skincare routine 🌟
My skin is combination, but mainly oily. I’ve always had trouble with oily skin and I’m still perfecting my routine. I’ve recently switched to all non fragrance and I️ can already tell it has helped a ton. Morning: Simple - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel I️ like this a lot but I️ can tell it’s a bit drying on areas like my under eye and cheeks. I️ just use my hands, no washcloth to clean my skin. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 this sunscreen is perfect for toning down redness while keeping oil at bay. I’d recommend especially if you don’t wear makeup Night: Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water Simple - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream I️ also want to get a chemical exfoliant to try and help my large pores. Although most of my acne is gone i deal with a lot of hyper pigmentation from past acne. Let me know if anyone has suggestions on new products or what I️ could change to help my skin!
