Morning Routine for GLOWING Skin
Morning Routine for GLOWING Skin
After 3 months, I perfected my routine for: ✨GLOWING SKIN✨ My concerns: mild acne, moderate cystic acne, large pores, redness, uneven skin tone, prevent aging proactiv - MD Essentials System Value Set I’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide, so I had to find alternatives for my acne prone skin. When Proactiv came out with a formula that was benzoyl peroxide free, I jumped on it! On this routine, I have seen huge improvements in my breakouts, pore size, skin tone and texture. Each step in the kit and other: Step 1 Cleanse and Rinse proactiv - Deep Cleansing Face Wash This wash is gentile and leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. It has micro exfoliating beads that remove impurities and help keep skin clear. Step 2 Toner proactiv - Balancing Toner After breaking up with witch hazel, there’s no going back! I love this toner because I don’t feel dry at all like I usually do with toners. Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed. Step 3 Serum (formerly my spot treatment step) #Apostrophe - Azelaic Acid Formula (Azelaic Acid 15% + Niacinamide 4%)[products]#[FiveStars] Although Proactiv MD cleared up most of my breakouts and reduced pore size, I still struggled with dark spots and jawline cystic acne. I knew I needed something a little stronger that was also compatible when using retinoids (night routine.) Apostrophe’s formula reduced my dark post-acne marks and evened my skin tone and texture. It also has anti-aging properties. No need for spot treatment, it’s designed to be used all over face. Pea size amount recommended. Step 4 Serum timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum BEST dupe for SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum. Brightens skin after just a few weeks and helps with my uneven skin tone. Protects against environmental pollutants. 1-1.5 pumps for entire face. Step 5 Eye Cream proactiv - Eye Brightening Serum Eye creams can be scary, as the skin around the eyes is so sensitive! This eye cream is packed with peptides, vitamins C and E. While I noticed reduced puffiness, I hadn’t noticed an anti-aging difference until my boyfriend pointed out how “smooth it looks” under my eyes 😂 Step 6 Moisturizer/Step 7 SPF proactiv - Daily Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 🔑 Hydration is key when treating acne prone skin! I love that this moisturizer is lightweight, non-greasy and soft. Since it already has SPF 30, no need to use a separate sunscreen unless you will have prolonged direct sun exposure. Any skin type can use this gentle product. 1-1.5 pumps is all you need. Dries quickly. Step 8 Face Oil eve hansen - Golden Rosehip Face Oil I don’t use face oil everyday, more like 3-4x per week, when I feel like I need extra hydration. Helps reduce redness and locks in moisture! Has skin regenerative properties. Only 3-5 drops needed.

Good≠Expensive!💥You Can Get A Perfect Skin With Products Under $40!
Good≠Expensive!💥You Can Get A Perfect Skin With Products Under $40!
Highly effective skincare products can be affordable! So I discovered this routine. Everything in my routine is under $40. I hope this is helpful.🌲🌲 1️⃣ CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser $14.99 Y'all should know CeraVe. One of the best drugstore skincare brands. It is alcohol free, not irritating at all. Very friendly to acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. As a moisturizer, it contains glycerol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. It can improve the skin's restoration capacity, making your skin healthier in the long-run.  2️⃣LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer$33 The ingredient list is super simple, which is quite rare among all the skincare products. The texture is creamy white liquid, heavier than water. If you have dry skin, then use it as a toner. And use a moisturizer afterward. If you have oily skin, this product is enough for moisturization.  3️⃣The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%$10.60 This is so hyped these days. Everyone is talking about it and praising it. It claims that it is good for very oily skin. It can reduce acne, maintaining the oil-water balance within the skin. I heard that it is also a good whitening product, but I can't see any effects.  4️⃣timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum$18.44 It includes 20% Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic acid. Some people said that this is a dupe for SkinCeuticals. My skin looks brighter and healthier after using it for a while. I will repurchase it! 5️⃣ OLAY - Total Effects Daily Moisturizer $15.99 Olay is an old skincare brand, but this day cream is awesome! It includes several different kinds of Vitamins. The ingredient list is very clean. Make sure you use the fragrance-free one. It is also SPF 15. Even though it is only 15, it's still better than nothing.  6️⃣Mecca Cosmetica SPF30 Facial Sunscreen $38 This is not oily at all, and it does not smell bad as many other sunscreens. It includes great ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and pomegranate extract. All those ingredients can moisturize the skin. This is a magical sunscreen that can keep your skin hydrated.  7️⃣Glossier balm dotcom $12 The No.1 multi-function product from Glossier. This one doesn't have any color. It has a slight strawberry smell. It includes some simple but proven moisturizing ingredient, such as vaseline and castor oil.

The best vitamin C serum, for a great price 👆🏻
Give me some of that vitamin C🍊. @timelesshaskin. . . A new favourite in my morning skincare routine! Do you use vitamin C in your skincare routine? - - This serum contains vitamin C; also has Ferulic acid and vitamin E which help stabilize and enhance the function of the vitamin C. - - Benefits of the use of vitamin C in you’re routine: - antioxidant: helping protect from sun damage and air pollution. - helps build collagen. - can help with discolouration and hyperpigmentation. - helps with acne and acne prevention - because vitamin c has strong anti-inflammatory properties. . . My thoughts on the product so far: I really love how it makes my skin feel. The consistency is more watery of a serum which feels refreshing on my face. It is not irritating to my skin at all. I apply 2-3 drops and use my fingertips to massage into my face. I’ve noticed it’s helped with my discolouration around my mouth which I’ve mentioned before I really wanted to try and fix! So I am extremely happy about that. My skin appears to be smoother, radiant and no blemishes since I’ve added it into my skincare routine. I will be testing it out more but I truly have been enjoying it!

Better to use them together! Vitamin A+C 😘😘😘

1.Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer There aren't many skin care products that provide visible results within a week (aside from maybe self-tanners). So when I read that 100% of women reported seeing visible results within a week of using Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer, I was skeptical. That's a pretty bold claim for a product that's available in drugstores, doesn't have botox in it and costs less than $20. Still, I wasn't skeptical enough to not try it in the first place. It's one of the winners of Good Housekeeping's 2019 Beauty Awards, and as long as I have a choice, I'd rather sport cat eyes than crows feet. One of the main ingredients in the night cream is hyaluronic acid. During the day, I use Neutrogena's best-selling hydro boost water gel moisturizer, which also features hyaluronic acid in the formula. Since I've been using the day moisturizer for years, I wasn't too worried about how my skin would react to the powerful ingredient. However, it's important to note that my face did mildly burn and turn red the first few days I used it. At night, I apply a dime-sized portion of the moisturizer to my face and rinse it with water. When I wake up, I look like I spent the day basking in the sun on a boat. I'm naturally pale, so I actually appreciated the color. The burning sensation didn't bother me much either. According to the instructions on the bottle, mild redness and a warm tingling sensation are normal indications that the product is working. For sensitive skin, the company recommends users limit application to every other night until your skin gets used to it. I was able to use it every night for a week with no major discomfort. After night three, I'd say the color and burning sensation mostly went away. I even know of a woman who actually uses this moisturizer day and night with no problems. She says one bottle lasts her about a month. I also love the lightweight feel of the formula. According to the bottle, there are 31 ingredients (but it feels like there are only three). Retinol is one of the key components of the moisturizer and it's also why this product works on fine lines and wrinkles. Retinoids are basically vitamin A in topical form, so they increase collagen production and the rate at which skin cells turnover. They also help fade dark spots and even out skin tone. 2. timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum A crucial player in the production of both collagen and an essential antioxidant is vitamin C which helps with rejuvenating damaged aged skin. However, when taken orally very little reaches the skin. To help combat effects of ageing, a natural vitamin C serum needs to be applied directly to the skin. When used topically, results show vitamin C serum stimulates the formation of collagen while stopping the effects of free radicals, helping people across the globe maintain a firm, youthful looking skin. An older YouTuber recommended Timeless 20% with E and Ferulic Acid and I tried it. It is the best one I have tried. It is water based and so use it quickly and use it not only on your face, but your neck, decollete and on your hands. I store mine wrapped in aluminum foil in a dark place to make it last longer. It looks like water when it is good, but if it turns yellowish, throw it out, as it will do more harm than good. Vitamin C is used on clean dry skin before anything else of a morning. It brightens the skin and is an antioxidant plus a hydrator. You can use any other water based serum over the top if you use others. Remember water based serums first and then moisturizers, sunscreens and oils. What kind of ingredients do you like to use together? Tell me below!

DUPE ALERT!
DUPE ALERT!
An essential in my morning skincare routine is a good Vitamin C. I made it my mission during quarantine to find the best one! I’ve been using MAELOVE - Glow Maker and timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum and I have to say they are perfect dupes! You can’t go wrong buying either one. The Maelove Glowmaker comes in a nice glass bottle dropper with dark glass, so it won’t oxidize. It doesn’t have a scent and sinks into the skin quick and easily. It’s a thin texture and a little goes a long way. I like putting it my palm and then patting it across my whole face. I then follow with a moisturizer and SPF. The Timeless Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum comes in an airtight plastic bottle, which I personally like a lot I think it’s be perfect for traveling. The reason I gave this one 4 stars out 5 instead of 5 stars is because of the scent, it smells kind of like hot dogs and while the scent dissipates fast it’s unpleasant in the moment. I find the effects of both of these Vitamin C’s to be the same, I would definitely repurchase both! They are both in the same price range as well! I notice my skin is brighter and more glowy after continued use and any dark spots I have get lightened!

Swapping Vitamin C Derivative for the Real Deal☀
Swapping Vitamin C Derivative for the Real Deal☀
Tdlr; Scroll for review of L-ascorbic acid 20% in Ferulic Acid and Vit E 😅 HONEST FEMME FINDS: When I first moved to LA, its valleys quite literally sucked my face dry. Then came vitamin C in its friendly derivative form, nicely formulated in aloe and hylauronic acid to solve me of my increasing hyperpigmentation from the Southern California sun. The beginning months were of course when I saw the most drastic results. It became my holy grail ingredient, stuck by me for two moves, to two cities with drastically different climates. I like to think of my vitamin C serum (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) as that young love with nothing else to compare it to. It worked. It was fine. But it eventually became boring. The benefits had plateaued. At that point, I wasn’t sure if I was just benefitting from its humectants And the literature is pretty clear. Significant data are largely from vitamin C in its true form, L-ascorbic acid. This summer, I would like to explore that! I will be testing a couple budget-friendly products. Please join me on this journey. :) timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum IMPRESSIONS: Okay, I’m going to admit that my initial reactions were not great. While the packaging looks sleek, the pump is like dispensing lead out of a mechanical pencil (throwback to when we used to write on paper). Upon dispensing, the droplet doesn’t hold its shape at all and is super runny. It’s both watery and oily at the same time. It’s weird! It feels way more thin than I’m used to but after some research, I realize that this is true for true many L-ascorbic acid suspensions. USE: It was relieving to finally feel the tingle of the product on my face. That’s the vitamin C! It does leave a nice glow, more of what I’d expect from an oil than a serum. But without added serum or moisturizer step, this product will dry you out. Alcohol is one of the last ingredients but it definitely does its job. In fact, I wouldn’t consider this a moisturizing “serum” step at all. I would for sure supplement with a HA serum or add a moisturizer to seal everything in. It’s too early for me to judge it’s long term effects but I will post an update. PRICE: One of the best deals out there at $17 for a 30ml L-ascorbic acid serum in ferulic acid (published data showing it stabilizing Vit C) and vitamin E. As you can see, it’s essentially a dupe of the OG Skinceuticals at $166. I personally haven’t tried that one so comment down below of your experiences with other L-ascorbic acids!
