products from pixi known as the glow kit. ⠀ Products: ⠀⠀ 1. Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel⠀ 2. Glow Tonic (Toner with 5% Glycolic Acid)⠀ 3. Glow Tonic Serum⠀ 4. pHenomenal Gel ⠀ 5. On-The-Glow Stick⠀ ⠀ I do have to say though, that when I first opened it I was shocked as to how much glycolic there was in the package. Glycolic is something that needs to be used with care. I personally also don’t use products with glycolic acid in them (mainly cause it makes your skin more sensitive to the sun) BUT if you are a huge glycolic acid fan. I think this set belongs to you! 💖 Here’s why: this is something that impressed me highly 😊 The cleanser and the toner and serum all have glycolic in them. But what impresses me is that the cream is the neutralizer. So they thought about everything you’ll use this acid in this glow kit. ⠀ ⠀ Why is it important to neutralize after using glycolic acid? Because it’s important to bring our skins pH back to normal as glycolic acid has a very low pH so its important to use something that is alkaline to bring back our normal skin pH. With that said an optimal and normal skin pH is around 5.5 (so still slightly acidic) ⠀
Really loving the glow collection from pixi! The Glow Tonic definitely lives up to the hype and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good drugstore option for a chemical exfoliator. My other favorite from the line is the On-the-Glow moisture stick. It’s such a handy product to keep with you in your purse for dry patches of skin and it works as a pretty gorgeous highlight, too!
PIXI GLOW TONIC SERUM.. EMPTY 😭
I’ll like to start this off by saying how incredibly sad I am to have an empty Pixi glow tonic serum just sitting on my dresser. I don’t want to get rid of it and I’m preparing myself for a new one. 🥺😫 Ok everyone this serum is amazing, I received this as a gift from Pixi and ever since then it has been in my routine. I have really dry skin to the point where it gets flaky and when I apply this it not only glows up my skin (obviously cause it’s called the glow serum) 😂 BUT it also hydrates! 🧡 The serum is sticky when you apply it, but adding other serums or moisturizers gets rid of that and honestly it doesn’t bother me🤷🏻♀️ I LOVE this product so much and what it does for my skin, waking up in the morning I know when I’ve applied this serum the night before and when I haven’t because it just does something to my skin and overall complexation. ITS REALLY THAT SPECIAL 👌🏼👌🏼 It’s a thicker consistency so applying this at the end of your line of serums (going from thinner consistency to thick) it’s the perfect cherry on top) 😋🍒 I love this product so much and what it does for my skin, but I also love how affordable it is compared to my other serums I own. You can get this from Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada with the price point of around $30.00 CAD, which I think is amazing compared to what I spend at Sephora on skin care. You guys need to get it you won’t be sorry in all honestly. 🤍✨ pixi - Glow Tonic Serum

6 Skincare Tips from a Celebrity EstheticianIt’s been eight weeks since COVID-19 has caused us to shelter in place with the goal of putting an end to the novel coronavirus. While social distancing is playing an essential role in our health, the same can’t be said for our beauty routines. For beauty buffs, the lockdown has meant an abrupt halt to our routine visits to our facialists, dermatologists, and everything in between. What’s more, staying indoors has limited our exposure to vitamin D (which our skin needs to thrive), heeded unhealthy eating habits (which can wrack havoc on our skin), and turned us all into our very own (albeit mildly inexperienced) esthetician. To ensure our skin and well-being is taken care of during such a confusing time, we tapped into celebrity esthetician Renée Rouleau. Below, she’s sharing six self-care tips to practice as you social distance.May 20
