What I learned, scavenged, and loved this month! 🔎 In the Literature: 1. Ferulic acid doubles the sun-protective effects that Vit C + E have versus Vit C (ascorbic acid)+ E alone. 2. Bakuchiol, a plant extract used in Indian and Chinese medicine, has a mechanism of action similar to retinol- both upregulate collagen production. Formulations with bakuchiol + retinol have shown more effective in anti-aging than retinol alone. 3. Jojoba oil is actually a wax ester, a fatty molecule that structurally looks super similar to the fatty molecules of our sebum, hence why it meshes so well with our skin! 🔎 In Skincare: 1. I’ve been using the Good Molecules niacinamide toner for a few weeks now and have been enjoying it so far. It has no alcohol which is great for dry skin, and the niacinamide has really been helping with pores and some texture. It’s also got vitamin c which I surprisingly love combining with niacinamide for a super brightening effect. I like the cost of this toner for how it works and will probably repurchase.GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner

UNDER $20! BUDGET FRIENDLY SKINCARE BRAND!
Skincare is half happiness and half very frustrating. It’s hard to find products that work and that are an affordable price. Let me present to you, GOOD MOLECULES. Good Molecules is an effective and affordable brand that keeps their consumers best interest. They source their ingredients respectfully and are very transparent about their process. This is a brand that has great morals, great products and GREAT PRICES 🤑 ᴘʀɪᴄᴇ ʀᴀɴɢᴇ $6-$18 ᴛʏᴘᴇs ᴏғ ᴘʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛs - serums - face oils - toner - primer - exfoliators - cleansing balm and bar - booster powder Some of my favorite products for my dry skin: GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This is a very gentle rice powder exfoliator that provides a physical and and chemical exfoliation. It’s a great start for newbies to exfoliation. Expect brighter and softer skin after a few uses. Simply add a touch of water to the powder in your palm and gentle massage it on your face. Exfoliation is KEY to keeping my dry skin at bay. GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches My under eyes also get very dry, puffy and dark. These eye patches ARE INSANELY GOOD. Get rid of your dark circles, puffy bags, and dry skin. These stay in place really well under the eyes too.

6 Skincare Tips from a Celebrity EstheticianIt’s been eight weeks since COVID-19 has caused us to shelter in place with the goal of putting an end to the novel coronavirus. While social distancing is playing an essential role in our health, the same can’t be said for our beauty routines. For beauty buffs, the lockdown has meant an abrupt halt to our routine visits to our facialists, dermatologists, and everything in between. What’s more, staying indoors has limited our exposure to vitamin D (which our skin needs to thrive), heeded unhealthy eating habits (which can wrack havoc on our skin), and turned us all into our very own (albeit mildly inexperienced) esthetician. To ensure our skin and well-being is taken care of during such a confusing time, we tapped into celebrity esthetician Renée Rouleau. Below, she’s sharing six self-care tips to practice as you social distance.May 20
A Professional Yogi Says Now Is The Time To Start An At-Home PracticeIn light of the coronavirus pandemic, fitness looks and feels differently right now, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. As ironic as it sounds, staying indoors can actually open the door for you to try new programs and practices sans outside judgements or gym phobias you might be harboring. And because an international pandemic is bound to bring up feelings of stress and confusion, it’s important to choose exercises that not only benefit your physical health, but that also cater to your mental health as well, like yoga.5 HOURS AGO
