Night Owl must have: eye patches 🦉
One thing everyone in real life knows about me is I don’t get sleep. Whether it’s staying up all night (once upon a time my bed time was 5 am - 12 pm. Oof) or just physically not being able to fall asleep it can still take a toll on your skin. When asleep our skin takes the time to properly repair itself. When you don’t get enough sleep it can have negative effects like depleting the moisture levels in your skin giving it a dull look. One thing I like to do to help combat that is eye patches. Eye patches have long been a favorite spa night product for me but recently I realize how much they can help in the morning while I was getting ready. For me they add a cooling effect to the skin which can help depuff the under eyes before make up application. I also really like them because most have glycerin which will help add that hydration back into the delicate under eye area that wasn’t replenished throughout the night. The ones pictured above all include caffeine which helps the look of puffy eyes, soothes, and has antioxidant properties. Also, I love using them as shadow shields for make up fall out. It’s so easy to pop them on while I’m doing my eyeshadow. It multitasks by saving me time in the morning while depuffing and protecting my skin from eyeshadow fallout. (For reference I usually do my eyeshadow before I do my base. I wouldn’t recommend doing this on top of foundation). My absolute favorite are the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Hydra-Gel Eye Masks 60 Masks . Between the cucumber and caffeine these do the best at hydrating and depuffing my under eyes in morning. Though retailing at $52 for 30 pairs it is a bit pricy. My next runner up is the pixi - DetoxifEYE which retails for $24 for 30 pairs. I do want to give a special shout out/wanting to the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches retailing at $18 for 30 pairs. While I do really like the depuffing effects I get from these I noticed every time I wore these and did my concealer it would pill up. I would recommend these to people who don’t wear make up but if you do I would be cautious. If you wanted to try these I would make sure you do a good job at making sure no excess serum is left over before make up application. I always end up using these at night for that reason which defeats the purpose of using them to depuff the eyes in the morning.

Eye Mask to de puff !
pixi - DetoxifEYE These Pixi Eye Gels are my favorite eye gels and the only ones I use! They de puff so well. So first the texture, they are a really nice thin consistency. They stay on the eyes really easily without sliding as well. They feel really cooling on the skin too, if you put them in the fridge you get an extra cooling feeing too. Leave them on for about 20min in the morning or the evening. Next the results. This leaves my under eyes noticeably less puffy. They have less inflammation from the morning and night time and I can use less concealer due to this as well. It also leaves my under eyes very hydrated for hours as well. This also can double as catching eye shadow fallout when doing makeup in the morning as well! You can get these for $24 at Target or Pixis website. To be honest they are no really under $20 eye gels on the market so I think this great if your on a mid range budget and can splurge. It also comes with quit a few so the last a while! I would definitely recommend these because they are effective and feel so cooling on my skin!
I have very sensitive skin, too sun, makeup, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen., you name it! But here are some products that work for my skin. I’ve never had a horrible issue with my skin *knock on wood* but I did got through a few years of acne and flakiness on my skin. Off and on now I’ll get occasional breakouts but they will go away if I tend my skin correctly. Morning routine• Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion I wet my face and then apply this cream and wipe away access with a cotton pad. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum This product I have good times with and some bad, but overall it doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t apply it where I have small scarring because it seems to clog the area. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This one is a bit pricey but definitely worth it! The only eye cream I’ve used that actually works with brightening. I have extremely dark circles and this helps with it. Now I know I’m going to get attacked for not using a sunscreen but I haven’t found one yet that works. I’ve tried sooo many, ones directed toward sensitive skin and all have broke me out or triggered eczema. If you have suggestions let me know! ••••••••••••••• Nighttime routine• Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water I use this with a cotton pad all around my face and then follow with the Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum this again and I’m finished! 🧡🧡☀️ Extra tlc for my skin! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay this mixed apple cider vinegar became my best friend, I started this about two years ago and it has helped me so much. It can cause irritation but it doesn’t last very long, right after using I apply a generous amount of moisturizer. pixi - DetoxifEYE I will occasionally use these if I’m getting glammed up somewhere and they make such a difference!! •••••••••
The Best Eye Patches for Self-Pampering!
I purchased these after seeing so many ASMR videos pop up on my TikTok feed. They looked so cool and satisfying, and I wanted to try them for myself! I am always looking for ways to pamper myself, and these are the perfect product for giving yourself a facial or just for making your routine feel a little more extra. These patches are great and don’t slip around on your face, which make them perfect for wearing while doing things around the house! I definitely notice that my under eye area is less puffy after using these. At $24 they are a little pricey for a drugstore skincare product, but they come with 30 pairs of patches which should last a while! I definitely recommend for anyone who loves a little extra pampering.
Affordable&Amazing! Pixi Saved My Skin!!!😘😘😘
Sudden changes in the environment and irregular wore and rest are most likely to cause skin problems. I have been looking for a set of products that can help reduce dullness and breakouts and keep my skin in the best condition. Finally I found Pixi, which products are really suitable for dry skin. I would def recommend it to you if calm and radiant skin that glows sans layers of highlighters is at the top of your agenda. pixi - Glow Tonic It features 5% glycolic acid which exfoliates and brightens skin, and is paired with ginseng which acts as an anti-oxidant, and finally aloe vera as well as other natural plant extracts which soothe and moisturize skin. People with dry skin may feel a warming sensation when trying it for the first few times, but as a 5% concentration glycolic acid product, it's considered quite gentle. I normally use it for double cleansing. It has a light and fresh plant scent with refreshing texture. It's also very moisturizing, credited to its aloe vera and fructose ingredients. It doesn't leave your skin tightened, allowing easy follow-up application of serum and cream. You can consider this tonic if you're looking to exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin as well as reduce bumps in a short period of time while taking into account your skin tolerance. You must wear sunscreen during the day when you're using fruit acid skincare products. pixi - DetoxifEYE The ingredients include caffeine that reduces swelling and acts as an anti-oxidant, and cucumber that moisturizes and soothes the skin. There are 30 pairs of eye patches in a box for daily use. They look like jelly and have a green, gel-like texture which is gentle and not irritating. They're cooling when applied under the eyes and stick snuggly to the skin. A 10-minute application is enough to see great results, such as instantly reducing puffy eyes and brightening dull skin. pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist Its featured ingredients include hyaluronic acid for hydration, oatmeal extract, and vitamin B complex for calming and soothing skin. It focuses on moisturizing and soothing, and it's not at all second to La Mer. The amount of delicate mist sprayed is enough for the entire face, and the mist won't leave you with sticky skin. It also provides instant moisturizing, and I usually use it before applying my eye mask, instead of using a moisturizer. It doesn't leave my skin feeling tightened or dry. Besides, the bottle is convenient to carry around. I will repurchase all of these Pixi skincare products. What do you think of either products? Let me know!!!👇
Pixi Beauty 🧚🏻 Fave or Meh?
Pixi Beauty has been a brand on my radar for a couple of years now. From being in Target to their cute mint green packaging I can see the appeal to a lot of people. I am very fortunate to be on their PR list (which is how I got the above) but that doesn’t mean everything automatically gets a good review form me. For the most part, from an esthetician point of view, the brand’s skincare is a pass for me. I think my problem with me and Pixi is the amount of heavy fragrance they include. Fragrance is just an unnecessary addictive in products that give you no benefits. It actually has the potential to increase sensitivity in your skin. I try my best to avoid it in products or make a conscious effort to use those formulated under 1% (which I’m guilty of not always adhering to because it can be difficult to find). I find that most products by them (and I’ve tried almost everything in the range) are more fluff than results. I will say though my favorite skincare product by them is the pixi - DetoxifEYE . If you want to give anything a try by the brand I would recommend this. For $24 you get 30 pairs of eye patches. These are my favorite to wear under make up as they act like a shield from fall out while they are hydrating the under eyes. I don’t feel like these slip and slide around so I can easily pop them on and go about my day. They have a very cooling effect to the under eye to help depuff. Ive used the pixi - T-Zone Peel Off Mask and pixi - Glow Mud Mask to multi mask before and hated it. These did absolutely nothing for my skin. Not to mention how bad in general peel off masks are for the skin and the Glow Mud Mask is so heavily fragranced it’s not even funny. I saw no results and they’ve been sitting in my drawer ever since. Most their skincare I would avoid (though they do have a few things I do like from an esthetician point of view). They have a few gems hidden in their make up as well but I find most of it over priced for the quality. You can find better quality in the drugstore for a cheaper price which is why I’d rate it a meh.
