brand spotlight: caudalie
Today I’m gonna talk about my least favorite and my favorite caudalie products! CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution — key ingredients: viniferine, squalane, mint, caraway — claims: clears dark spots, boosts radiance, evens skin tone — price: $79 for 1oz — my thoughts: can’t believe how quick this evened my skin tone. I’ve been struggling with a few dark spots in my fave and overall an uneven complexion, but this serum is quickly putting in work on my skin. My face is overall brighter, I’ve had less breakouts, and no irritation caused from this product. It’s a creamy milky texture, soothing and smells lovely. I really can’t rave about this enough, and I’m very sad that it’s so expensive. I use this at night only and my vitc in the daytime. I’m excited to keep using this! CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir Limited Edition — key ingredients: alcohol, Rosemary, lots of essential oils — claims: reduced redness & dullness of skin, astringent for pores — price: $49 for 3.4oz — my thoughts: supposed to be used as part of my skincare routine, but it’s drying and far too irritating to be used like that. I use it as a makeup setting spray, and it’s great at that, I just wish it was better at the thing it says it’s gonna do. The alcohol in it makes my face so dry and the mintyness stings my face pretty bad. I can only use this post makeup which sucks!!!! All the essential oils are very irritating and make me breakout if I use this on my bare skin. Even post makeup, it’s a little stingy. I think all the caudalie products I own have been gifted, by either the brand or by friends! I always wanted to try them because caudalie is such an iconic French skincare brand, and even when I didn’t know anything about skincare, I knew caudalie was top notch. I hate that I found something from them that I don’t like, but at least I enjoy most things!
CAUDALIE-Beauty Elixir Limited Edition
I’ve said it so many times already but out of all Caudalie products, the Vinoperfect is my absolute favorite and I owe the serum and toner and essence for solving a lot of my skin issues. The line is powered by viniferine, an ingredient derived from grapevine sap and rivals the power of vitamin C. Using the combination of the essence and the radiance serum has seriously helped so much with my hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, and overall brightening up my skin. They used to have an overnight cream in this line but discontinued it so now I’m excited they’re back with an even better product! It’s got the same smell as the radiance serum but much thicker in texture. The vegetal butylene glycol is a humectant that helps ingredients penetrate into and over your skin better, which is probably why despite its thick texture, it absorbs into the skin within seconds. This trio truly makes my nighttime routine simpler and effective.

PRODUCT: Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum STATUS: HG ✨ PRICE: $89 CAD / $79 USD SIZE: 30 mL (full size) WHERE: Sephora Never has my opinion changed so much as it did with the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum! When I first tried this I was not the biggest fan. To be fair, I never disliked the serum itself but I was turned off by Sephora’s online description, which I felt was a little inaccurate. Once I formed my own opinions of where it belonged in my regime, I quickly realized it’s a serum I cannot live without! The serum itself is so luxurious and nourishing! It contains Squalane; a super moisturizing, not too greasy, easily absorbed oil, as well as Vitamin E and Grapevine Shoot Extract. This combination makes for a lovely rich serum. It’s hard to say specifically how it has improved my skin but I can safely say my skin is better when I’m using it. It’s just more supple (lol I hate that word but I can’t think of another adjective right now). It has never once caused a break out. If anything, I use this as a super light moisturizer when my skin needs some “room to breath”. I’ve posted these before, but here are my tips for using the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum… 1. I avoid using this with other products that have a high oil content (especially if that oil is also Squalane). 2. If I’m applying multiple serums I’ll use this one last! 3. A little goes a long way! Unless I’m using this alone, I only apply a few drops to my cheeks and forehead. 4. This makes a great lightweight moisturizer on humid days or when your skin needs a little extra breathing room. I love this serum so much that I’m giving a full size away.

What did I bring...?
I haven’t traveled in over a year! And having to choose what to bring with out of all my skincare choices was hard! I knew I wanted to lay-off the actives/chemicals as I’d be out in the sun on the beach all week but I also wanted to still be able to treat my skin if any issues popped up. Then it was, do I bring a bunch of stuff to photograph? Nope! In the end I just ended up picking my favorites as well as those that were small and easy to pack. The most easy to choose were from Youth to the People. They have a great line that could take me from cleansing to moisturizing and not needing any other brand at all. But that wouldn’t be much fun! 😂 Some of the standouts are: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm to remove sunscreen YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - With Pride Minis Kit in here is the Superfood Cleanser. Also the exfoliating mask and Superberry mask if I feel I need them. Plus I got the black cosmetic bag to put all my skincare in! Perricone MD - Hypoallergenic CBD Sensitive Therapy Rebalancing Elixir I’ve been using this ever since I got it about two weeks ago now and LOVE it! My skin feels and looks so much healthier. I’m impressed! Medik8 - Full Lash & Brow Advanced Lash & Brow Serum I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live without this! I’m almost through my first one and I’ve had to trim my brows TWICE now! They are far from perfect but I’m hoping with continued use I’ll need less time filling them in. I’ve started to also notice a difference in my lashes. When I curl them they touch the top of my eyelid! (I’ve been using this for @ 6 weeks) FACETORY - FaceTory Oats Calming Glow Weightless Facial Oil I brought this one along not only for myself, just Incase (although I have 5 bottles of facial sunscreen!) but for my family who isn’t as persistent as me at reapplying. This will be great for dry, sunburn skin. Help calm and restore it. One of my favorites! I’ll be hoping to share more this week on some of the sunscreens and body products I brought with. I got hit with my monthly cycle and unfortunately my periods are very heavy and very painful. So these first two days so far have been a bust 🥴 although today and overcast out anyway. Much ❤️ my @cheriefamily 🍒 #CherieCreator

🍇100% Grape Formulated？- Caudalie
Caudalie is a French skincare brand using natural ingredients in their products that are free of parabens, mineral oils, paraffin as well as preservatives like SLS (sodium lauryle sulfate). On their website, it also says that they do not have animal derived of raw ingredients and they are 100% vegan. CAUDALIE - Beauty Elixir Glow to Go Duo This elixir really helps you feel calm, fresh, and pampered. It is pricey at $50 a bottle but I found that it’s worth it after seeing my skin brightening up. After 6 weeks of using it, I noticed that it helps even out my skin tone. This is perfect as a base for makeup and setting makeup! I am always in a rush in the morning when I do not have enough time for skincare and hydrating my skin. I am a combination dry, and always found my chin flaky if I do not put moisturizer on before makeup. Whether I’ve used this on no makeup days or to set my makeup my skin looks smooth and even. I went with this Duo set and always carry the small one in my cosmetic bag as a make up setting spray. It is even more perfect. It gives the dewiest look you’ve always wanted. Definitely recommended to dry and combination dry. It would keep your face fresh and clean through out the day. And comes with a smell of rosemary and mint combination which I was assessed with. CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution This serum I first received a sample from Sephora. It wasn’t as popular as its mist or elixir. I left it for always 2 months before first trial. I was shocked. Really love the texture. This product is not thick and oily like most serums. It’s hydrating and absorbs into the skin very nicely. I would apply moisturizer after this. This serum completely improved the texture, and with minimal use. Even after day 1 I noticed my skin looked brighter. It does has the signature Caudalie scent that I love. For me that it smells like sweetened grapes.

A cult favorite - does it work?
CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution This serum is a worldwide cult favorite and I know why! Containing Caudalie’s patented Viniferine 🍇 which claims to be 62 times more effective than Vitamin C 🍊 at boosting radiance and evening out the complexion, it’s a powerhouse! They say 1 serum is sold every 30 seconds! UNREAL! 🤯 and Caudalie is celebrating 15 years with this formula! 🎉 This serum is suitable for all skin times and works to reduce the appearance of * dark spots * pregnancy marks * acne marks * age related spots * hyperpigmentation and prevents them from reappearing It has a soft, subtle scent that I have grown to crave 🍋 🍊 🍉 When I catch the scent it makes me smile cause I know how good this is for my skin. It’s just a tad bit thicker than a water base. About 3-4 drops cover my entire face. I like to use this following my face wash, toners and after adding a bit of Hyaluronic Acid. It allows the product to move across my face easier. And for me, it also plays well with other actives. I can safely use this with my retinal. Apply morning and evening, to the face, neck and décolleté, before applying your moisturizer. Avoid eye contour Ingredient callouts: * Olive Squalane * Green Grape * Viniferine * Mint (scent) * Caraway (plant/scent) * Galbanum (plant/scent) I’ve gone through two of the 1 oz size bottles and I can safely say IT WORKS! I quickly saw a difference in my discoloration and it is great at keeping new acne spots from leaving their mark. This one is pricy at $79 for 1 oz but when you find something that works this well, it’s worth it! You can also get the limited edition size at 1.7 oz for $114 at Sephora. Caudalie products contain no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. This is an oil-free formula that is non photo-sensitizing. I actually started with the CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Solution Set for $79 and it comes with this serum, & CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Night Cream & CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence and they last me about two months. It’s well worth trying. And the products together I believe helped boost my results quicker. And you are basically getting the Night Cream and the Essence for FREE! No brainer!! The serum is the same size if purchased alone, 1 oz. I wish I had taken some before and after photos cause the results speak for themselves. I am going to take some shots of where my skin is at now and see how much more this serum can do. My only downfall, which is a hard pill for me to swallow, is Caudalie is not considered CF as they sell in China. They claim not to test on animals but have no control over what happens there 😞 Caudalie has perks of signing up on their site. Collect points towards free product!
