Key ingredients: The Inkey List Sea Kelp Serum
You may or may not have seen a ton of hype about this product on Instagram. THE inkey LIST - Sea Kelp Serum It costs $10 and has 2 highlighted ingredients: sea kelp extract and a malachite mineral complex. It’s a pretty simple ingredient list so I thought I would test it out in my routine for a couple of weeks. The ingredient claims: -Sea kelp extract: reduce and protect the skin from environmental pollutants -Malachite mineral complex: detoxify skin & deliver antioxidants It’s a lightweight serum advertised to work on all skin types for anti-aging benefits. Unfortunately this serum really set off my skin. When I’m trying to new product I use a basic routine full of products I know don’t irritate my skin so I KNOW the new product is the culprit. This caused a series of tiny bumps around my eye area and whiteheads on my forehead which is so random. I also must mention the smell...god, it’s awful. It smells like dirt, very earthy but in the worst way. When I used this serum I applied it after my hyaluronic acid serum but before any facial oils or moisturizers. Honestly if you have tough skin and aren’t sensitive to natural ingredients this will probably work great for you. It’s $10 for 1oz so you won’t be losing a lot of money if you end up not liking it, but it’s risky if you’re more on the sensitive skin train like me. I have to rate it 2/5 stars for my overall experience, however the price point is good and it absorbs well into the skin. Another product that did not live up to the hype.

This little setup is my current evening routine minus two essentials. If I am wearing makeup I’ll use @farmacybeauty Green Clean and at the end of the routine follow up with Farmacy’s Honey Drop. I so, so miss my fav moisturizer of theirs, Better Daze Ahead but I just can’t justify spending anymore at this time. I😢 . I haven’t yet broke open the @theinkeylist Sea Kelp. That I will be testing next week. I’ve been currently testing the @theisleofparadise self tanning drops and absolutely love them! I am super picky when it comes to facial tanners because I don’t want to look like an orange ompa-lumpa or breakout. But these have been perfection! I started with five drops mixed into my moisturizer and woke with the best hint of color. The next night I went with four, then three and now just do two a night. It keeps my color perfect. I get sickly pale when I get no sun so these are a godsend! I also have found that they help minimize the red spots on face, don’t make them stand out so much and find it easier to cover with makeup. If you’ve been debating about picking these up, they are beauty by Jen approved 😁 . The others I’ve talked about before but if you have any questions, hit me up! . Love to you all! 🌸

Sea Kelp Soothing Serum
This serum does it all. I cannot stop raving about it. I have already used up an entire bottle and I’m on bottle number 2! While it states that it is a skin barrier repairing and pollution fighting serum, I also find it does more than that. The natural green hue that comes from the sea kelp and malachite minerals offers redness relief so quickly you can watch it happen before your eyes. I have tried this serum in so many different ways; mixed with other serums, layered before the rest of my routine, after my routine, and even just in the middle of the day when I need some cooling relief. It is a light weight serum with a medium consistency that absorbs like a dream and mixes well with both serums and moisturizers. This serum is truly wonderful and at an amazing price point just under 10 dollars! It is limited edition but I certainly hope that The Inkey List decides to keep it as part of their permanent line. I would recommend this to anyone who uses actives to soothe and build up their barrier. But I would also recommend it to anyone as it is an affordable serum to incorporate into your AM and PM routines THE inkey LIST - Sea Kelp Serum

The Inky List
Have you tried @theinkeylist If not, you’re missing out! . I decided to explore this brand when I took a look at their price point and ingredients. You can’t go wrong when not a single product is over $15!!! The founders believed that skincare should be accessible for everyone as well as easy to navigate and understand. All products are easy to understand and clearly state what they can do for you. I also like that they explain what products to avoid mixing together. . I started with Hyaluronic Acid - $8 - and found the formula to be okay. It’s not my favorite, @deciem formula is actually my favorite, but either one is a great option. I think I just prefer the dropper better over the squeeze bottle of The Inky List. I end up with too much coming out at times. But the hydration this gives me is A+. My face feels and looks instantly dewy. That healthy glow! ✨ If you don’t have HA in your life, you’re missing out! . Next up I ordered their Retinol - $10 - but only just started using it consistently. It’s a very easy formula to work with and I layer on the lotion after to make sure I have no issues with irritation. I’ve had a few small breakouts but nothing crazy. I plan to use something stronger after I finish this. . See yesterday’s post regarding the Sea Kelp - $10 . And I just picked up the eye cream Caffeine - $10 - . I got it initially for my husband. He has serious eye bags and I wanted to put this to the test but he isn’t cooperating with me. I gave it to my daughter to try as I am still working through my @farmacybeauty Cheer Up. She has dark circles and puffy eyes so I’m anxious to hear her thoughts. . What do you use from The Inky List? What should I try next? . Happy hump day! 🌼

Sea Kelp by The Inky List
Hey, it’s Tuesday and once again I’ve failed to create a texture! I’m just not feeling creative lately! . So let’s talk about The Inky List Sea Kelp. I picked up this after hearing @thattzone rave about it. She’s got some of the best reviews so if you’re not following her, I suggest you do so, now! ———- The INKEY List Sea Kelp Serum. What it is: An innovative INKEY lab-edition serum that uses sea kelp and malachite mineral to help to reduce pollution on the skin and strengthen skin's barrier. Highlighted Ingredients: - Sea Kelp Extract 1%: Helps to protect, strengthen, and reduce pollutants from the skin. This serum will help prevent the signs of premature aging as well as improve skins brightness and hydration levels. LIMITED EDITION through Sephora for $9.99 ——— I can say that my skin loves this stuff! It just drinks it up. I’d place it right there with my favorite Hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary but I feel this actually goes on better, just sinks right into my skin. I typically add it into my routine after cleansing, toner, HA, treatments, then serums and followed up by moisturizers. Not sure if I am doing this correctly. If anyone has any suggestions I try differently, let me know. But so far this is working and I’m loving it. I’m not sure how long this serum will be available as it is limited edition so if you’re interested in trying this one out, I suggest you get your hands on it soon! 💚 . I hope you’re all having a great start to your week. I don’t know about you but January has been a tough month for me. I’m ready for February and plan to hit it hard! Put this crappy month behind me
