ColourPop Cosmetics 'Just My Luck' Palette ($12) I love these colourpop 9 pan palettes! The packaging is simple but functional and cute and 9 pans is a perfect amount for me. Enough options to give you a little variety but not so many that it's overwhelming or repetitive. And $12?! Seriously?! For a nice palette with a mirror that's formulated with clean ingredients and made in the US?? That's unheard of. I sort of feel bad for other brands at this point because how do you compete with that? First impressions... I like the mix of finishes. Kiss My Hass and Mo Bamba are actually satin finishes which I love. And I like the mix of warm and cool tones. Even though I personally like a few neutrals in my palettes, I thought that it was smart of them to keep it all green. I felt like the dark mattes on the bottom row swatched a little patchy but like I've said a zillion times, the way that an eyeshadow swatches isn't necessarily indicative of performance. Especially when it comes to mattes.

Colourpop Haul - Just My Luck 🍀
I bought this palette because I wanted to go out of my comfort zone. I usually stick to beaut rap tones, dark browns, etc. The colours in this palette are SO. PRETTY. I did find that they weren’t as buttery at first swatch, however, once the first layer cake off they were so nice!!! Blending is easy-peasy, and even though these colours are out of my comfort zone, I can use them to spruce up one of my normal looks, OR just create a whole new green look with them. I love this palette! Not as much as my Ace Beauté palettes (the texture is really nice in them) but I still love them. #CherieCreator 4/5 ⭐️‘S 😍 COLOURPOP - Just my luck

ColourPop 'Just My Luck' Palette ($12) vs Huda Beauty 'Emerald Obsessions' Palette ($27) It's My Pleasure palette to Huda Amethyst Obsessions and they were really similar so I thought that I was sensing a pattern when CP released a 9 pan green palette. Well I was wrong. These two palettes have very little in common. The huda palette is more sparkly. It has 3 mattes and 6 shimmers and 3 of those shimmers are super glittery. CP, in comparison, has 5 mattes and 4 shimmers and only 1 shade (Mary Jane) that I'd consider to be heavy on the glitter. Cp has a slightly more warm toned color story whereas Huda is a bit cooler with more blue based greens. Since the mini Huda palettes don't have shadow names, I numbered the fingertip swatches for your reference, with 1 being in the upper left corner, 5 being in the middle, 9 being in the lower right corner etc. There's only one shade that I'd consider to be a dupe, the mint green matte (Chances Are... and 2). But I did finger swatches for any thing even remotely similar (swipe left). I haven't used either palette. I only bought the Huda one so that I could compare it to CP and I've only had both palettes for a few days. I prefer CP as a brand overall and obviously $12 is a more appealing price than $27 but they're two very different palettes. If you're a green/ blue green lover you could easily justify owning both. Otherwise I think it depends on which color story you prefer.

Colourpop Just My Luck & Mint To Be 💚
I am absolutely blown away by COLOURPOP - Just my luck and COLOURPOP - Just my luck ! Green is my favorite color so I knew I had to jump on these when the Mint To Be Palette was released. These are 9 pan color capsule palettes meant to be used on the eyes. The shades are all very buttery and pigmented which shocked me. They retail for $12. They blend easily, last nicely on the eyes, and are very easy to work with. All the colors translate true to the pan as well. I’d recommend these palettes to anyone who loves the color green. For the price and how good they are I think they are completely worth it. It’s up to par with someone of my more expensive palettes!
