What is 2nd cleaning toner?😉
ABOUT ME: 🔥SUMMER：Combination oil skin with dry cheeks. ❄️WINTER：Combination dry skin. acne prone skin with oily T-ZONE. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner ✨Price: $31 for 6.7oz 🥰What is secondary cleaning product? Famous secondary cleaning lotion, like Clinique's No. 2 toner. It is to clean the dirt on the skin and the skin metabolism. This does not mean that a secondary cleanser is as effective as a makeup remover or cleanser. It is used as a secondary cleanser after removing makeup and cleansing. ✨Ingredients: Glycerin and butanediol are two most common moisturizing ingredients. VE: Initial oxidation resistance. Hyaluronic acid, honey and a small amount of plant extracts for Moisturize. If you keep looking at other ingredients, you'll find surfactants. This means that while wet compresses can make you feel good once in a while, long-term wet compresses will damage the skin protection. That's why this lotion is mainly for hydrating, but not suitable for wet compress method. ✨Personal feeling: When I began to use it, I directly applied it to my skin, and the amount was more, which led to acne! But once, after I washed my face, I put the lotion on the cotton pad to wipe my skin. Some yellow dirt was wiped out! It was a surprise! So I read the official instructions. This product is a secondary cleaning product, so don't treat it as an ordinary toner. You can find "tissue off" written on the back of packaging. 😎How to use: So the correct step is to wash your skin, pour the lotion onto a cotton pad and gently wipe the skin. A thin layer is enough. Then use another moisturizing toner. BIODERMA - Sébium Lotion ✨Price：$14.9 for 6.67oz ✨Ingredients: Zinc gluconate for oil control; Octyl glycine has a strong inhibitory effect on staphylococcus epidermis and acne. Salicylic acid, removes dirt from pores and reduces inflammation from closed acne. Because it contains salicylic acid, it is not recommended for sensitive skin. ✨Personal feeling: This lotion is used in summer. I bought it mainly for oil control and acne treatment. But the alcohol is a bit too strong for me, so I usually don't go straight to the face and just wet it with a cotton pad. At the beginning, there will be a little tingling, so must be a small amount of local use with 3-5 minutes. Do not recommend every day application. Advantage is it can protect your skin in hydrated condition for a long time. Not like many other lotions that volatilized very quickly.
Sébium Lotion / $14.90 / 6.67 oz This product was soo kindly gifted by Bioderma! This claims to regulate oil and sebum production and fight blemishes for acne prone skin. It has a watery consistency and the toner leaves a smooth and silky finish on my face. I’ve only been using this for about a week now but I can say it has been great in the mornings, and lasts all day! I don’t see as much oil coming through my makeup and when I don’t wear makeup, still greatly improves the production of oil/sebum. If you are a crazy oil and sebum machine, I would suggest giving this a try! After some further use, I’m really hoping to see an improvement in my normally clogged pores— especially the nose. It’s cost-friendly and easily accessible.
Toners has always been a confusing topic. What type donyoue use? Do you even need a toner? The answer is- not really. So why do I have so many- well, I like to experiment 🤓 Ive used so many different types of toners for my oily skin type to target pores, hydration, remove makeup residue and have come to the following conclusions: ✅ Yes, you shouldnt really have any makeup residue if you have the riggt cleansing routine, and toners shouldnt be your backup to makeup sure all your makeup is off. But my philosophy is- how do you know you’re makeup is completely gone if you dont follow in with a toner? If theres no residue, great, then you’re sure you’re skins at a physiological pH, if there is residue, you know you’re cleansing routine isnt effective enough. ✅ No, if you dont particularly need a toner to set your skin to a physiological pH if your cleanser if pH balanced- and alot of them are these days. ✅ A vitamin-c toner is not that great as a vitamin c product- you’re better off with a vitamin c serum. I did not see much results that a vitamin-c product is supposed to give with this toner. ✅ I like a pH balancing toner to use right after a shower, so thats what my Herbivore pH balancing toner is currently being used for. I also like that its good for oily skin and acne with its witch hazel and willow bark extract, respectively. However its not really my favourite because I dont like the scent of jasmine- and its definitely there. ✅ I love the Bioderma sebium toner because I feel like it has done a great deal for my pores. If you’re looking for a toner that is oil balancing and gentle and pore refining- this is the one. I think a toner is a very effective product in general for that purpose anyway. ✅ A hydrating toner is also great, maybe you dont really need it if you have many hydrating products already in your routine, but i think you cant really get enough hydration, and I think a toner is a great way to get an extra boost. Longterm, I will likely keep my hydrating Kosmetic Immunity toner and Bioderma oil balancing toner, and not bother with the Herbivore or Pixi ones, but experimenting is always fun.
